I read there's often a "purging" stage where your face might break out at first as the impurities come out. I took all of these with my iPhone and it's just a filter xDD! Quite a number of people decorate in my office thankfully. Some even have lights they string up!! Or hand snowflakes from the ceiling. I find that most people in NOAA personalize their office space with photos and trinkets and flowers. But it might be different at other agencies. My moisturizer and skincare stuff help clear it up quickly. Until then though I just use concealer with my makeup routine to cover them up.
