Layered Dresses
Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012 | 39 Comments

I really love this Madewell knit dress but it can be a bit plain when wearing constantly. I also love the collar on my sleeveless H&M dress but it’s too cold to wear alone. So I layered them yesterday with some bright tights from GAP. :ok: I’ve had these tights for so many years. They’re extremely well made, soft, fit comfortably but not too tight. I’ve been in the mood for a pop of color lately so I’ve been wearing these more & more again.

Totally not plain anymore! Cute outfit :)
Haha, thanks! Yeah I love how it /is/ basic but when I wear it multiple times in 1 week it needs “dressing up” on some days :P
Looking lovely as always :D
Awe you commented twice today *feels spesh* xDDD!
Nice outfit! Cute :)
Thanks ;)
Peetterr Paann Collarrs. ♥ I just ordered a crochet collar, they really are quite a statement piece when you wear them with something plain.
This is really cute. Definitely a look you see in many gal magazines. Your such a pro, I wish I had your closet >
Ohhh it’s so cute! I love layering multiple items for a bit of a change. It’s the best thing to do to revamp a simple piece!
Love how you layered this. So cute!
This is smart! I wish it was cold enough to wear big knits in Cali. I hate how bipolar our weather is. Just the other day it was raining, but today it ended up being 80 degrees. T_T
The color and tights are so cute! The Madwell dress… Not my thing >_> Maybe because of the colors? If it were just gray or something… Sorry Jenny! Not being mean or anything, but just speaking my mind >_>
Nice idea :) Those dresses are cute together. For some reason I love that huge pocket on the knit dress heheh
I call it my “cyclops” dress b/c of it :P
Such a colorful combination!
And you can use layers of clothes, japanese-style!
I certainly can’t with my latino body type. ^^;;
Getting ready for spring, Jenny, it looks great! ::thumbs up::
I love knit dresses, but here in the Philippines, you can’t wear them because it’s too hot. ;__; Your outfit is super chic though~ :)
I love the look of knits with collared dresses with the collar pulled out :-) It makes such big difference~
you look great as usual!
is it still really cold there? :0
Yes & no. Today it will get to 70F but tomorrow it will only get to 30F …. so yeaaaah this winter is strange. =/
That is an awesome combo!! I would never think of putting that splash of red! But I think it just adds an extra pop!
Peter Pan collars
Oops. used the open carrot :cc Silly me not reading warnings. *space case*
Anyway!
Peter Pan collars are love! I think that knit dress looks so warm~
This is a great look! Mostly because the tights give it an edge. The huge pocket on that dress is also interesting. :3
Super pretty, I love the collar! :) And the tights are a great eyecatcher! :)
Nice! I miss being able to wear knits.
You really spiced up that little dress! Love the collar peeking out ♥
hurr that green dress in bg! i tried it on today ! shouldve bought but i figured i could order online. ITS NOT THERE WHY JENSAMA
I love that sweater dress with the collar underneath =]
And I have a green dress not too unlike the green you you have, it’s pretty.
It looks super comfy and cozy! And the pop of color with your tights is a nice touch!
Ah, so cute! I love layering~
Peter pan collar!
I just bought a blouse in H&M in dubai with peter pan collar as well! Can’t wait to wear it!
I love the combo! The collar peeping out is so cute! Maybe I’ll copy your style but with my LEPSIM knit dress that is too sheer :D
I love your blog TvT
Your hairstyle is the cutest
aww jenny do you know where i would buy SPOON magazine?
Thanks
Ebay maybe? Fujisan.com probably for an actual subscription (if you’re in the US~)
UPDATEEEEEEEEEE :3
Looooooooool nuuuuuuuuuu *mia FOREBER*
been following your blog for a couple years now but i just thought i’d drop a comment this time to tell you how much i love reading your blog! :)
Thank you dear :D
That collar is genius. I would really like to learn how to make/sew these myself so I can customize it’s shape, pattern and size. It really goes great with the snuggly sweater you’re wearing. Great look!
Waaat that collar + sweater dress looks so cuuute c: and the tights too, I love using tights to just confuse the monotony of an outfit.
