Kamakura Daibutsu

Saturday, May. 5, 2012 | 32 Comments

Spent a day out in Kamakura with the main objective of seeing their Daibutsu or “Great Buddha.”

Buddha manjuu sweets!

You can pay a small (like 15 yen) fee to go into the giant Buddha.

Inside :)

I have a few on my phone. Some Japanese only versions then also a few semi-bilingual. Is there an area you’re interested in particular? I could upload them for you if you like. I scanned them all in from books/magazines.

Oh, another tip, what I did also was google map a lot of things as well & just screen capped them and loaded them onto my phone :) I did actually USE google maps a few times while out but global roaming can get pricey.
