I did a little shopping this weekend. The pink blouse is from Madewell. Memorial Day sale price. I loved the collar, color, and the texture of the silk. But mostly the collar :deco3:
The skirt is from Francesca’s. I have mixed feelings about the store. It’s full of eye candy and I love how things are separated by color rather than size, style, etc. Sometimes I don’t think the quality & price come together well, but when I saw this skirt I really fell in love with it for summer. Many of my skirts have a very winter feel to them still. Muted colors, heavy fabrics. But this one screamed summer to me. The quality was good for the price. It’s actually opaque too which is a struggle to find at Francesca’s. Francesca’s kinda reminds me of GMarket. It’s fun to go into. :deco2:
Some earrings I bought while in Tokyo. The one’s on the far left are from Afternoon Tea and are hearts with pressed flowers in them.
The others are studs I bought at Buona Vita.

I actually have 2, but they are not working sadly… Ahh I only have a working NDSL, isn’t the 3DS a bit chunky?
Compared to the old systems I’d definitely say so, but I play it at a table usually so it doesn’t bother me.
I love that top, especially the collar and the colour. The hidden buttons are nice, too. Makes it looks so clean :3 The earrings on the far left are my favourite. They’re real pressed flowers inside? That’s so cool, but they look so delicate. I’d be afraid that I’d break them by accident when storing them with the rest of my earrings.
I love that case :3 I have one in the original colour. I think it’s my favourite case at the moment.
Why don’t we have any tops like that in here?
Or I just don’t know where to find them? haha :p
Anyway, such a cute combi outfit. Would love to wear!

The color of the skirt is pretty~ I’ve been to a Francesca’s in New York and I agree…their stuff looks nice but isn’t really quality stuff. I got my sister a simple dress from there and she seems to like it but a top that i got isn’t as durable and was too expensive for what I paid for. They recently opened one in a really huge mall in Glendale, but I haven’t even thought of checking it out~
Agreed. I think if you were looking for something quirky & fun for maybe a party it’s a great shop, but yeah, seems like they import from GMarket-ish places and hike up the cost mostly. Though some of the goods they carry are nice and cheap with OK quality I think :D!

I love AA stuff but it doesn’t ever fit on me well. Always looks better on the hanger for me. I actually tried on about 6 skirts there this weekend! :)

Love the skirt! Its one of my favorite colors. :) Great for summer. Also, I have that same Game Boy case in white! The street vendors around me sell them for $5 in a ton of different colors.

I have the same feelings about Francesca’s. I am glad someone else shares my sentiments haha. The printed tops are all sheer :/ Do you guys have a TopShop? They have a lot of the peter pan collars :) I bought a collar necklace from there, but I returned it because I didn’t know how to pair it with my outfits. I was thinking you would enjoy a lot of the blazers and cute collars from there.
Would LOVE if there were a nearby Topshop but closest one is in NYC 3 hours away :(
I did not know francesa’s are nation wide…i thought it was just local…a lot of the clothes are very cheap boutique no brand style…but every once and a while…..
however my mom and I did go shopping there b4 our trip to Paris last year…and all her clothes were piling up by the end of the week //lammmmmeeee///
the heart earrings are my favorite… :)
i also need to go blouse shopping….I have no dressy summer clothes atm … i’ll be browsing around here for inspiration :)
