Everlane Delivery

I was patiently awaiting my Everlane order to arrive all week and finally, it came. And disappointed I was not. I’m even typing this while wearing their cashmere sweater.

I’ve spent the past few years on the path of less is more. A path of an effortless wardrobe that I can always feel like myself when wearing. Quality over quantity. A situation where I’m always wearing “my favorite” items. Everlane seemed to align with those goals of mine.

Here’s my Everlane Invitation link for anyone who wants to check them out! https://www.everlane.com/n/1nu2l6

Everlane order

In short I was really happy with everything. I honestly thought that, in ordering 4 items, I’d likely be unhappy with at least 1 of them & need to make a return. But thankfully that wasn’t the case at all!

I’ll go ahead and add my thoughts about each item below in case anyone is interested.

The Silk Blouse

Everlane Silk Blouse in White

This was the item I was most nervous and excited about because I find sheer things too fussy these days. This was listed as slightly-sheer and wearable with a nude bra. They were right. It’s only a little sheer with an eggshell texture. Paired with a nude bra you don’t even really see the bra outline unlike other sheer silk blouses I’ve owned. I still wear a nude cami with it but I’m a prude.

The fit is great. I went with my usual size of XS. There’s still room in the shoulders without looking too big. The collar isn’t too snug and the sleeves are a good length too. It really met all my “perfection” criteria. I already wore it Saturday under the cashmere sweater. Honestly I want the other colors now especially grey.

Cashmere Crew Sweater

Everlane Cashmere Sweater

I cannot express how long I’ve been searching for “the perfect” navy blue sweater. I even broke down and bought a not-perfect ¾ sleeve version 2 years ago and recently sold it in a blog sale because I never wore it.

I ordered the sweater in S because I wanted a boxy, loose fit. An XS would have been a nice fitted look while the S was exactly what I wanted in a slightly oversized sweater. The cashmere is pretty nice. It’s very soft and breathable. I will say it’s ever-so-slightly less soft than a pricier cashmere cardigan I have. I paid 3 times more for the cardigan than I did this sweater though so dollar for dollar this met my expectations extremely well! It’s already my new favorite sweater. It’s soft and cozy. Also it’s warm without being bulky.

Onto the T-Shirts!

I knew I’d need to pick up a new summer top or two this year. A few fast-fashion ones fell apart last year. I decided to try Everlane’s tees.

I don’t typically wear t-shirts. I had read one review where a nont-shirt wearer was converted by Everlane’s tees. This is what I was looking for because if I could find tees that I didn’t feel awkward and stuffy wearing it would open up a lot of summer wardrobe opportunities. I had “free returns” so the risk seemed low!

The Ryan Tee

The fabric feels like silk and I can already imagine how cool it must be on a hot summer day. The neck does dip low. Lower than I usually wear but I want to give the cut a chance. I ordered XS so that it wouldn’t dip too low. I shy away from V-necks because I feel they make my shoulders & chest look wide. This has more of a rounded V and the jersey material is opaque so a nude bra is enough under this tee. I think this will be my go-to tee for the hottest of summer days!

The Box Cut Tee

Everlane Tee

I sized up and got S so it would be a nice boxy top. Glad I did. It’s simple and easy. The cotton is softer than I expected and the sleeves and neck aren’t constricting (I tend to cut necks out of t-shirts because I hate them.) Won’t be doing that with this tee!

And it’s not sheer at all. Miraculous; a white tee I can wear with just a bra and have no worries. Layering up camis & tees in summer is such a nuisance. I might order this in black too. It’s comfortable and the shape feeds my 90’s nostalgia love.

Lastly, I liked that each item had a separate measurement table specific to that item. I’ve complained A LOT about other companies who have just 1 set of measurements that do not accurately reflect all their items. The measurements from Everlane were spot on.

i had an account w/ them a long time ago, i wonder if it’s still active . i never ordered anything but im highly intrigued by the his for her collection! nice :D

  3. hiika says:

I was eyeing the exact same items and I’m glad they turned out great for you! I actually didn’t notice that they had different sizing charts for each item but I must agree, that’s absolutely BRILLIANT. While it’s harder work for them, it definitely helps online buyers (their target market) a lot and probably cuts down a ton of returns!

  4. megan says:

Well, you definitely have me interested! I like that they have separate size charts, and that the whites aren’t super sheer sounds nice too.

  5. Hayley says:

Oh, I *really* wish they shipped outside the US! These pieces all look like just the sort of thing I want to fill my wardrobe with.

  6. anna says:

it looks really nice! love the silk blouse, i need one that is only slightly sheer.

  7. Jennifer says:

oooh! (by the way I just wanted to say I received my dress in the mail the other day, thank you so much! I love it love it love it :D)

I’m so jealous of all you US people who get to order from Everlane, I’ve been eying the Ryan tee and the silk blouses too! So glad you gave them good reviews, especially the silk blouses since I’m a bit hesitant as well see-through things. Considering using a shopping service or something to get my hands on some of their stuff, once my sizes are all back in stock that is!

when you first posted about this brand i got very much obsessed over their items > <
I wish they would start shipping international soon (like now XD). until then I should probably just make lotsa money to even be able to afford that cashmere sweater…

  9. cardiac says:

  10. Jen says:

Oooh! I’ve been eyeing that silk blouse for sometime now, but I was unsure how I’d like it without hearing feedback from anyone, but I think I’m going to go ahead and get it now!

  11. Tori says:

Your first post on this site had me interested, but this one convinced me… I totally just placed an order :) I’ve been looking for a classic white silk blouse myself & although I highly, highly recommend the Express Portofino shirts (not silk but a really high quality, semi-semi-sheer crepe chiffon), you sold me on this one with the description of the quality & fit, & that adorable rounded collar! I’m waitlisted for the Box Cut Tee in black & white too, but I picked up the Crew in Merlot. I can’t wait to get my package & thank you so so much for introducing us to this brand!

  12. Sewon says:

The silk blouse sounds lovely! I have a hard time shopping for clothes online because I worry about the fit and material..

  13. Tori says:

Oh, & as if my previous comment weren’t long enough haha… I meant to ask, how long did it take for you to receive your order? I swear I would always use express shipping if it didn’t cost so much flipping extra XD

  14. Feliz says:

    Hiii

I actually purchased 4 t-shirts from Everlane because of you! And I have to agree I really like them a lot. I purchased the V cut though as my bust is a bit.. well.. busty, lol.. But a medium fits perfectly and the fabric is very comfortable! Thanks so much :)

  15. Melissa says:

I never heard of Everlane before but the quality looks great, though shopping online always makes me wonder if things will fit me or not. XD

  16. Kate says:

OMG I totally bought the blouse, too! I bought the grey. I got a size S and it fits perfectly, also. The grey really is lovely in person!

  17. Michelle says:

I am so glad that you liked your first Everlane purchases! I’ve always been a fan of Everlane since their start up and I have never had a disappointing purchase. Their tote bag has been serving me so well – especially since I carry so many books and my laptop around. Their weekender bag is amazing as well. It’s sturdy, it’s HUGE, and it really does what it should do.

  18. Myra says:

Yes, I love Everlane too and am glad to see your review of their items here. Sadly, I can’t wear cashmere (sob) as I’m allergic. But their sweatshirts are a great substitute–soft and roomy, but in a good sort of flowing way. They can actually be dressed up for the office or down for days off and no one else is the wiser that they’re actually sweatshirts.

I have the navy silk blouse and just got the white too. I thought it was a brighter white, but it is a softer cream white and as you said can be worn with a nude bra and/or cami. The navy one isn’t sheer so no worries. And I have way too many of their t-shirts already.

  19. Kristy says:

Can you tell me what your body type is? I’ve been meaning to buy the Everlane box tee for a while but I’m not sure whether to get an xs or a s. For reference, I’m 5′3, 100 pounds.

    • jenny says:

I’d recommend comparing their measurements to yours. Theirs are right on so it’ll fit true to size. I’m 5′1″ @95 and sized up for a super loose boxy fit.

      • S says:

I’m 5′1″ also and I find a lot of shirts (e.g., Equipment blouses) tend to have sleeves that are too long for me (i.e., reaching past my wrist). Did you find that the Everlane silk blouse and sweater sleeves were long too?

        • jenny says:

I would say “likely” because my arms are long so I tend to have the opposite problem that you experience (my sleeves are often too short) but the silk shirt was a great sleeve length on me.
