The market just restocked this bath salt from Kracie brand. It’s a “Beautiful Skin” bath. There are 4 varieties of salts in the package that represent various famous hot springs known for beautifying the skin. Basically the alkalinity and fragrance varies with each type. They’re pretty nice. They’re not necessarily sweat baths but they’re more than just fragrant soaking salts too. It’s a beauty bath.

Mike found these Missoni for Target barrettes this weekend. Last pair after a recent re-stock. I was so happy to get them though, they’re lovely & I’m barrette obsessed lately. These were the 1 Missoni item I really, really wanted. I wore them to work and even got a compliment on them.

I took this photo after 8 hours of work plus having been rained on about 3 separate times today. I’m surprised my hair doesn’t look WORSE actually. It’s bitter, bitter cold & rainy today but tomorrow is supposed to go back to normal fall weather & temperatures.

I’ve really been smitten with the trend color of bordeaux or wine lately. But instead of blowing a lot of cash on wine-colored clothing I’ve decided to enjoy it through cheaper means. Wine colored tights and polish. Actually I only deliberately bought the tights for the “wine trend” but the polish was mere coincidence.

I filed my nails down recently to put a stop to some damage. I wore a clear coating of nail strengthener for about 2 weeks straight. But after that I really hated all my polish colors & nothing felt “right.” So Friday I went to CVS just to browse shades to see if I would fall for anything new and I picked up “Wined Up” from Insta-Dri. I slapped it on immediately. Gonna remove it tonight & do a more lasting job for the week. I’ll probably be wearing it for a while. Like how I wore jade for nearly 3 months straight.

The owl ring and earrings in the photos are from Bloomzy! They’re perfect!! Great match to autumn.

I was going to do a “photo challenge” to help me get familiar with the new camera. Something like 365 is too intense BUT I saw an A-Z Photo Challenge that seemed fun! I’ll start at A and snap an object beginning with that letter until Z, obviously.

It’ll be wonderfully random!

First off, thank you everyone for supporting the short little sale those 2 days! I must admit there was an ulterior motive. I wanted to buy the Olympus Pen E-PL2 but felt guilty because, though my point & shoot sucks, it still worked.

But.. it sucked so much that I’ve almost exclusively used my iPhone for the past 8 months… and maybe I should upgrade. I didn’t want to impulse-buy the Pen though. So I decided to do the sale. All the time & effort & letting go of some favorite, but no longer often used things, really lessened the guilt. I know it might sound stupid, or just my catholic upbringing rearing its ugly head, but it was what I needed to do to justify the purchase! And now I have the camera! In sexy retro’ish white too~~~ It was perfect for what I wanted. An upgrade from my mid-range point & shoot but not as intense as a full dslr but still has exchangeable lenses and a hot shoe. Plus the ART filters are fun w/o needing post-processing.

Oh yeah, new layout too! The last one was up for like… hmmm 9 months? A year? I dunno, forever. So I wouldn’t expect anything less from this one hahahah. I can’t believe in college I used to change my layouts nearly every 2 weeks!

Gonna post 2 outfits from last week or so taken with my old camera blah blah will blog again tomorrow!

This one I got from Yesstyle is #09 Pink Rose. I just use one dab on each cheek. The cream blushes are easily build-able for a super vibrant look if you like. This one looks a lot like the powder Gerbera Kiss shade only without as much highlighter or “shine.”

The powder version definitely glows more while the cream is more of a flat color. You could always use the cream blush then go over it with their powder blush for a super pigmented and lasting color. I did that with the vitamin orange cream blush and caramel orange powder blush a few times.

This one is number 03 “Gerbera Kiss.” It was recommended in the recent issue of Used Mix. I got it from Yesstyle.com.

It’s a great little palette to transition with from summer into fall.

I’ve been hooked on orange shades all summer and most days I still prefer it. But on a few cooler days orange feels strange so I want a pink! These two shades blend flawlessly together as well. They’re not quite as pigmented as some of their other blushes but I think that might be a reason the 2 shades blend so easily. I’d be interested in the other palettes too! They’re small and give you a lot of option on the go.

I started this list a couple of years ago. It was an easy way I could keep track of my “collection” plus know the real volume number (now 380+.) Then booklog.jp caught my attention. So I just use that now. Updating it today was mostly for fun. No pressure to keep adding to it ASAP. I’ll probably update it again in a year lol.  

My collection dates back to around 2003 and it was easy to move at first when it only occupied a drawer or even 1 shelf. But now… It’s become clear I would be a fool to try and bring these along my next move. It was hard enough to get the 1 shelf worth moved into THIS house 3+ yrs ago. When the time comes I’ll just pick out my favorites. That would definitely include the 3 issues of CUTiE that started it all. 

For now I keep them on 2 large bookcases contained within IKEA magazine files and organized by title, issue date, or both.

It’s a popular brand found in Used Mix & Furugi Mix Girls magazine. The shop staff are often also the models found in those 2 magazines plus many more like PS, Spring, SEDA, Mina, JILLE, Nadesico, etc. The brand itself is an extension of a PARCO produced event called “Fairy Tale” which highlights fashion and beauty. It’s mostly original brand items plus some import brands like Free People, etc.

Mike starts his new job tomorrow. Been ironing his shirts & ties. My commute home is gonna change but not sure to what just yet… So I’ll play it by ear this week. I welcome the change but at the same time I know I’m not a person who adjusts to change well so I could be easily irritable this week. I hate change but understand it’s necessary for growth. Plus I also get frustrated and bored with mundane routines of every day life too…
Hmmmm~ I guess what I’m saying is that change is a necessary evil

Like today, I traded in my old iPod Touch since I haven’t used it since getting my phone. I bought it for $50 used and traded it in today for $70 whoo whoo!!!! \/

Mostly what my daily makeup has been looking like this past week or two. Brown pencil liner over thin black liner and sheer lids with sheer orange cheeks. But sometimes I go heavier but in the same color palette. That Burt’s Bees has my hair so shiny!!! It looks like it’s ombre but it’s not! It’s just my natural highlights all shined up.

This is actually the back, it’s zippered all the way up! It’s an extremely soft lace. It seems as though it’s felted actually and feels so delicate I was a bit scared to wear it. But it seems pretty durable and I appreciate a rare piece of soft and comfortable lace clothing! I would link it to the Zara online store but I couldn’t find it for sale there.

This morning I just felt SO GOOD. Like some huge weight has been lifted. There really isn’t a good reason for it but I’ll take what I can get when I can get it! I felt so energized. I got into work and worked furiously to catch up on time I lost last week with training, holidays, and jury duty. Then I got home and started finishing up my laundry. I thought I’d have some time to get to blogging stuff and other things this week but now something sorta came up…

These have the black outer ring with semi-transparent 1 coloring along the edges. I have a soft spot for this style, I think they are beautiful on brown eyes. As much as I also like tri-color lenses these are beautiful for a dreamy look I think. I had some similar ones in green last year from EOS that I liked a lot. These are the same as the blue pair I reviewed last week but hazel blends better with my natural color.

Comfort is the same as the blue pair. Decently comfortable like typical circle lenses. Require a few eye drops to keep them from feeling too dry during wear but nothing too troublesome.
