It’s Fat Tuesday again, and I miss it (24)

HAPPY MARDI GRAS!

KING CAKE!!!! YUMMY! I'm eating some right now.

Me, drunk.... after we celebrated... by getting drunk. For old times sake

Mike took me out to celebrate. Even though actual Mardi Gras themed celebrations are far & in between up here. I wanted to go to Louisiana Express for some gumbo, but it’s still icy and it was supposed to rain. So we’ll go Saturday. I still have a King Cake and am going to make shrimp jambalaya and black eyed peas <3.

I really miss the mardi gras season… it was one of the funnest times of the year growing up. Parades…. food….. friends & family…. ~~sigh~~ OH well. I’ll be over it tomorrow.

I’m rambling. Thank you everyone for your comments about the place I’m buying! I truly appreciate it! More on that to come! I’m just tired right now

I bought a house today =3 (40)

We signed the contract for our new home today!
We have 15 days to review it. I was really happy with the outcome so far. Our place is in pre-construction which is great for us because:

1: We’re getting a GREAT price on it.
2: It won’t be ready till this fall which is when our year lease ends with our apartment. That’s REALLY perfect because we won’t have to break our lease to move into a new home which could have cost literally thousands $$$.
3: It’s NEW and we’ll be the first owners of the pristine place.

I took photos of a model home that has nearly the EXACT same floor plan that ours will have. There’s a lot of photos but I’ll do my best to give the “tour.”
