The most stressful, emotional week (21) 
My Mom is doing fantastically. She was finally able to leave the hospital. The doctors found that she was extremely deficient in multiple vitamins including B & D (which can cause ALL the symptoms she was having.) Also, they found some liver damage and some shrinkage in the area of her brain that controls coordination.
They said she should recover 100% mentally, but physically they can’t be sure. She’s using a walker right now to help her get around. However, things are looking extremely positive. My Mom sounds better now than she did BEFORE she went into the hospital. Also she says she’s recovering physically quickly and thinks she’ll be fully recovered within a few months. When I first spoke to her after she was home I cried because she sounded so NORMAL again.
It’s still 1 day at a time, but they only get better. There are still underlining things to deal with, but honestly, that’s for her & my father to deal with.

An update and a hiatus (26)
I need some time away. About a week I guess. Obviously a lot is going on and I just think I should put the site on a hiatus rather than just ditching it.
My Mom is in about the same condition. Very confused. Constantly pulling out her IVs, unplugging the machines, and trying to roam about the hospital. They are still running tests. Her MRI came back normal so that’s good. They still can’t explain her confusion and short-term memory issues. My father advised me to wait to travel down there, so I am. She’s still very much so not herself.
Hopefully there will be good news soon.
