Happy 2009~~

My parents’ new kitten in the above picture sums up my New Year’s,

The trip was good. I went to parties and hung out with old friends. Had so many fireworks to set off that we never even went through them all Roasted marshmallows and had southern foods I’ve missed SO BADLY. However, if you keep with my Twitter, you know me getting back home to DC was a N I G H T M A R E !

I spent a total 34 hours in Atlanta because Airtran are a bunch of IGNORANT ASSHOLES who don’t give 2 shits about their customers. THEY made us miss our connecting flight and the earliest flight out they put us on was for 9pm THE NEXT NIGHT! No compensation for hotel or food. They even tried to charge us 600.00$ when we went to stand-by on a DC flight out! Plus our luggage magically made it DC without us…. WTF. Anyway. I’ll spare you ALL THE HORRID DETAILS just know NEVER TAKE AIRTRAN. NEVER. I’ve been loyal to them for years and am even a member on they ghei ass awards plan and they just fucked me and a TON of others over all weekend. THE END.

Resolution for 2009: DIRECT FLIGHTS ONLY!! NO MATTER COST.

I took a 5 hour nap today to catch up on sleep. It’s going to be a long, long week. I get my permanent crown placed plus the builders are coming by to look into the “noise problem” we have had with our upstairs neighbors. Hoping to get some soundproofing done but I don’t feel too confident in that~ it’ll probably just be a bunch of anxiety with no solution *fail* Plus work’s super busy right now too~ BLEGH~

   Ahhh - your holiday to see your parents looks like you had enormous fun! However sads for your trip back (grimace) I hate trips like those - damned airlines! I remember when I had to transfer flights - which cholera - Which, as you can probably imagine - was totally uncool D;

   Anyhow - hope the week isn’t too harsh on you! Get stacks of sleep! I just got your letter - sent one back today! (So efficient - part of my New Years Resolutions ;p)

   fireworks are so much fun! my family bought 400 sparklers but we didnt finish them cuz theres way too many XD
   stupid airlines… phil had no clothes for a week cuz jetstar left his bag in perth -__- at least they shipped it here in the end..

   I’m so, so, so sorry about your flight experiences. That’s just horrible customer service. Next time I fly, I’ll take your advice and not trust Air Tran. They seem evil.

   I hope your week gets better and you finally get soundproofed walls/floors/etc.! They are truly a sleep saver.

    Haha. I’m glad to hear you had a good time, but sorry to hear that the airtran thing got fucked up XD I have never taken a direct flight I think. Except for to London which is like 1.9 hours from Norway with flight so =P And so far it’s gone good.

    =\ that happened when i went to pick up my grandma at the airport. we stayed from 6:30PM-12PM and then went back at 3AM because they suddenly had a flight just for seniors and children. ended up arriving at home at 5AM. luggage arrived 2 days later haha.

    the firecracker stuff looks fun o_o. too bad it’s illegal here =\.

    Damn, if only this had happened ANY OTHER WEEKEND when I was around!!! T^T Matt even works at the ATL airport w/ security clearance, so he could’ve fetched you in no time. Poop!!!!!

    Airtran has been ok to me in the past, but I’ve only taken short, direct flights with them. The planes/seats aren’t the greatest either. That totally sucks!!!!

    Oh no, you live in a condo, ne? I do, too but we have an upstairs unit. Only our is above the community room so in summer it gets really loud D: No mid- day naps! I hope you get that sorted asap!

    I love the colorful pictures, and as for your trip with Airtran… I’m really sorry about it, you know what?

    It kinda resemble my mother’s trip when she came back from Taipei… her luggage was lost somewhere between Toronto and Montreal, she lost her connected flight because of late departure of a snow storm, they didn’t reschedule her a new flight, she had to call my sister to buy an online airticket for 700$CA in order to come back home… She took Northwest… :S
