Too Faced 500 Point Perk
Wednesday, May 18th, 2011 | 46 Comments

This weekend I finally cashed out my BEAUTY INSIDER Sephora points! I didn’t want the previous 500 point perk so when I saw they now had this eyeshadow palette I went for it!
I’m really happy I held out.
Definitely a great little freebie. It’s an eye shadow palette from Too Faced. The palette contains 8 eye shadows each 2 being from one of their best selling kits.
There are 4 distinct “eye looks”
you can create with it. I really love Naked Eye, Romantic Eye, and Natural Eye for work! The shadows are pretty good too. They take a tad longer to blend evenly than my Shu Uemura shadows do but it’s not really an issue.

The packaging is really pretty & sturdy especially for a freebie. It mirrors the box cover and has gold foil trim in a pretty pink case with magnetic closure.
It also includes a mini tube of their eye shadow primer Shadow Insurance. I tried it but still prefer my Urban Decay eye shadow Primer. I’ll use up the freebie tube though, it’s not bad!
At first I was a bit “meh”
when I got this. I felt, “God, more eye shadow, what have I done!?”
But the 500 point perks don’t change often and I was holding onto mine forever. But after using this for a few days now I’m SUPER HAPPY
I got it. This would be a palette worth buying even IMO. It’s limited edition so if you have 500 points and want an easy 1+2+3 shadow palette this has left me quite happy!

OPI Once a Cheetah Always a Cheetah

OPI “once a cheetah, always a cheetah” nail polish
It’s from the new Safari Luxe collection at Sephora. It’s an opaque orange with gold glitter! I tried it on in the store last night and just went nuts over it. So purchased!
Oh yaaaa~ this will go nicely with my new silky blue top from Zara! I was wanting to buy a few different things from Zara’s last night.
Deciding between rich blue and bright orange! I haven’t WANTED to purchase rich colors in A LONG LONG TIME. ANYWAY, now I can have my blue AND orange!

I’m channeling this sudden casual~mature whatever you want to call it vibe this week.
Mostly for work.
Clean line clothing in rich shades. Also I want to pair it with white woven sandals and a monogrammed canvas tote from LLBean. I need a new work bag.
Mine’s 3 years old and from a 100 yen store!!!
Lol the Daiso actually. Going to go hunt for those 2 things tomorrow.
I was expecting to buy more from Zara actually, but for various reasons, I narrowed it down to a top and cami.
Everything looked better on the hanger fml lolool and if I didn’t LOVE it I didn’t buy it.
And one top smelled funny like the dye used to make the print or something. God I have such a severe love/hate with Zara.
Probably for the best
I also tried on this 3-D Flower Mesh Jumper from American Apparel in pink. I think it’s so beautiful!
But it’s really not comfortable to wear.
It’s a bit scratchy and heavy~ Definitely not for every day wear and at $88 I put it back.
Ah but it IS lovely. Maybe it’ll go on sale because summer is SO CLOSE!
