Free People Printed Lace Raincoat

Today I needed a new raincoat.
So I ordered this Printed Lace Raincoat from Free People.
I chose the “Ivory” version.

I’ve loved rain gear ever since I was a kid. I remember running through puddles in an oversized bright blue Mickey Mouse slicker with matching rain boots. It’s a surprise I never got pneumonia.
When I got into work today I noticed my current raincoat’s lining was peeling badly. I’ve had it for years. I saw some raincoats at Target last night but I wasn’t crazy about how bright & vivid the colors were.
After a bit of browsing online I came upon the Free People one. When I saw it folded up for carrying I was sold!
What I didn’t like about my old raincoat was that it was also a light jacket. It got really hot to wear during the rainiest season here (June,) but too thin to wear alone in winter.
The Free People one looks large enough to slip over a light jacket or maybe even my wool coat. I’ll see when it arrives. And it looks thin enough to wear during the hot summer months too.
Plus I won’t have to “wear it” until I actually need it! Unlike my old rain coat that I’d wear in preparation with forecasted rain which sometimes ended up with me carrying it home completely useless for the day. I actually carried it home today because the rain had stopped and it was too hot to wear.
Should fit in alright with my other rainy season items.

Excited
Sunday Sweater

Last month I received this Elli’s Cabinet sweater courtesy of Yesstyle. It’s a creamy beige color in a slightly lighter knit for spring so I’ve been wearing it out a lot lately. Wore it today with a UNIQLO button up.

I’ve been so, so into beauty items in recent months.
I was thinking about it the other day. I used to be too paranoid to change my routine and try new beauty items. But it hasn’t all been fueled by my need to find a new night cream. I realized when things got hard at New Year’s I had a lot of new beauty products to try received as Christmas presents.
It was one of the few enjoyable activities I had at the time. Researching and reviewing new items for myself. And now that things are getting better I’m still enjoying it. Though I do know I’ll settle back into a routine, eventually, with just favorite items again.
Not to mention as my skin matures I’m able to see actual results. A few years ago I couldn’t really tell if a face mask was good because my only issues were dark under eyes and acne. Now I have a few new issues that could use extra care, haha!
So seeing (or not seeing) results makes trying stuff more interesting and useful.

This one particular Sephora I visit always has amazing customer service (compared to the others I visit) and I always buy more there than I anticipate! Blessing & a curse. I went for the polish and a sample of Dior night cream & ended up repurchasing a few items I always love plus 1 new item. Picked up two 100-point perks too.
