SURPRISE! 2-days in a row, what!?
I wanted to share some recent purchases~
Actually went out Friday night and bought some things from Forever 21. It’s sorta strange since I’m not in the “saving for Japan” mode anymore.
Though I do need to get back into “savings” mode eventually
since I’m sure there’s some place I’ll want to travel or something expensive I’ll want to buy?

Forever 21 gets including some thick ribbed knit black leggings!
They had some that had little knitted hearts
instead… I want to go back & gets those now

Quick dry nail polish in black! FINALLY!
I already have black nail polish… but I NEVER use it because it takes too long to dry *end confession* :F I even bought those “quick dry drops” from Sephora but they don’t really work too well so I’m just buying quick dry polishes at the moment… maybe FOREVER, I dunno.
Also bought a drugstore brand *gasp* dark eye palette.
I felt like a total snob because I needed to replace my old gray palette which was drugstore brand too (but they don’t make it anymore) so I figured I’d buy another brand while at Target but honestly I haven’t bought drugstore brand eyeshadow in… a few years…
What have you done to me Sephora!!??
*brainwashed* I got paranoid thinking whatever I picked would be super shitty and lack ALL pigment. Thankfully I was wrong, :haha: this Rimmel palette for $2.50 (holy crap only $2.50!!) is pretty damn decent!
Not richly pigmented but it’s kinda nice because I wanted it for subtle smokey eyes anyway.

Pardon the shortness, middle finger & thumb nails both tore last week. I haven’t been taking my vitamins so my nails are flaking again. Usually I take extra vitamin A and it keeps them strong :good:

New shoes! Black heeled oxfords~ I wore them to work today to break them in. I’ve tried on so, so, soooooo many oxford shoes since the beginning of the summer and I usually hated how they looked but these actually looked pretty cute on! I think it’s the heel. I was really trying to get some flat ones because everything I have is heeled but I think I look really ugly to myself when I try on flats so I never end up buying any.
On the subject of new shoes… some “shoe accessories” hahaha! These below are some of the padding I buy for my shoes. The two on the left are my current favorites and I’ve bought at least 3 of each! The Tri-Comfort insoles are FANTASTIC for boots! I have them even in my WC boots. These already give you like a half inch boost in height so in my WC boots that have like a 3 inch heel I’m insanely tall! Mike doesn’t like it, LOL.

The middle set is great for heels that slip and rub the back of your ankles. I really love these because most of my heels are a tad loose and these keep them from just slipping off as I walk.
The far right ones are “ball of foot” pads. These are heart shaped instead of the usual ovals.
Not sure I like them…
I just bought these to try instead of the ones I already have. I dunno, I think I’d pass on these, the heart shape sucked me in
but it’s almost too much padding to be honest.

[貼れるくつ用どんと] These are heated foot pads
that last for 5 hours for cold winter months!
You have no idea how badly I could have used these last Black Friday… or the Black Friday before! This Black Friday I’ll be in the south (so useless, lol)

New eyelash curler! Sephora brand and 100% PINK! It’s a limited edition for Breast Cancer Awareness. My old eyelash curler had kicked the bucket after years of wear & tear so this was long overdue. Though so far I’m not too impressed by Sephora’s … it’s just OK, not spectacular. But at least it’s metallic pink.

Also from Sephora I picked up a treat for myself for Halloween! It’s Philosophy’s “Bobbing for Apples A set that contains Green Apple, Red Apple, and Caramel Apple Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Baths.” Everything from this line was so expensive! So I just got the biggest thing anyway because it’s what I wanted and the 2 lip gloss set cost almost AS MUCH so screw it.
:good: Plus since it’s shampoo + body wash Mike has been using it too because he’s a big fan of the 1 bottle multi-purpose thing. These were really worth it though, they smell so amazing & so autumn!
On the subject of Mike, I thought I’d post this snap of HIS Japanese “beauty”
gets. SEE IT’S NOT JUST ME!! He prefers Japanese hair products over the US ones. Can’t blame him. His current favorite was WATER WAX but mostly because of the Donki store remaking that 80’s song over with just the words “Water Wax” sang over & over. The song escapes me at the moment~~

And no, I don’t live with some super organized god, I took this photo after I cleaned up after his mess
In other news
I got the Purple Embroidered Back Kumatan sweater from Tori’s sell-off! It’s just in time for autumn!
It hangs off 1 shoulder and is very soft and thin too so not too hot. Kumatan is on the BACK but once winter comes and I have to cover him up with a coat I think I’ll turn him around, LOOOOL!
What!?
The sweater is cut the same so it fits both ways.
And the seams for the very tiny tag is hardly noticeable, bwahahahahaaa!

Also picked up Just Dance 2 and Kirby’s Epic Yarn this week! BOTH GREAT! Just Dance 2 is easily better than the first and I especially love the “Just Sweat”
mode. The songs are eh but at least there’s more plus they have just song tunes for mostly for just “sweating” to. Not sure I get their calorie counting. Does 1,000 really mean 1,000 calories burned because that’s impossible.

So I need to play it & mess around with it a bit more. There’s bonus Just Dance routines too in the “contest winners” section & the America winner’s routine is crazy fun!!!
Kirby is Kirby.
If you’ve played the old Kirby’s & you love him this is no different AND LONG LIVE SIDE-SCROLLING!
I’ll talk more about these later after having played longer~~~
Oh, and these were the tights I wore in yesterday’s post! Thought it might help to see them NOT worn to get the subtle pink color

Alright, this was too long & I’m not proofreading so… sorry?

Wii Fit as a Marriage Counselor
Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009 | 42 Comments
Had an interesting “conversation” with Wii Fit the other day. Mike isn’t as dedicated to using it as much as I am…

Huh? Haahaahaa What kind of question is that?!

I dunno, “The Same” I guess *chose*

EXCUSE ME!!?? What they’d do, get my Irish Catholic grandmother to input nagging marital advice into Wii Fit!?

Haahaa, a “SIDE NOTE” ORLYYYYYYYYYY! I’m not sure who should be offended at this point! Hahahahaa
I’m so glad I made the cookies for tomorrow’s office party yesterday. I got home tonight and totally passed out for a good 2 hours. I’m so exhausted! Got too much to keep up with.

I do feel a little sad that my office didn’t do their traditional “Christmas field trip” this year. I think because so many people bailed on it last year it didn’t seem worth doing. *Sad face* I didn’t bail! Obviously. I always looked forward to it, but, oh well. Things change I suppose. OK, I’m bumming mysekf out! So, tomorrow will still be fun! Good food and more overeating on sugar for me! HAAHHA :cake:
John Frieda Sheer Blonde Talk
It might be a bit early for a review on either of these products but it’s been part of my daily routine since this weekend, so why not. I mentioned I picked up the shampoo & conditioner of the John Frieda line “Sheer Blonde” and after 2 days of using it I could already tell a subtle difference.
SIDE NOTE: I’m naturally blonde. Before college I was actually naturally a bleach blonde (with black Italian eyebrows. Thanks to my family being a mix of Italian and Irish, I am a haircolor freak of nature!) But due to long class hours and now long work hours my hair rarely ever sees the sunlight, thus, has darkened significantly (not to mention the possibility of darkening with old age! yikes! lol) ANYWAY~

I found the “Go Blonder” line Monday and have been using that for 2 days as well. I can already tell a difference between the 2 lines.
Sheer Blonde:
“Highlights Activating” line.I think I might like it more. It added lightness and shine to even my brown hair changing it into more of an ashy blonde color. It’s also half the price of the Go Blonder line. My super blonde highlights glitter & glisten like gold with this stuff!
Go Blonder:
Lightens but in more of a rich way. Hair looks richer in color, shinier, and healthier compared to the Sheer Blonde outcome. However not as “light” looking color-wise. Though this line is supposed to lighten over time, so I’m not gonna throw in the towel just yet. I’m going to go through the entire bottle first before deciding. Tough, like I said, my hair looks healthier with this line compared to Sheer Blonde.

I sort of like them both, but Go Blonder is twice as much in cost. Thankfully I got it at CVS on a buy 1 get 1 sale.
Both products are ammonia and peroxide free and do not deposit color. It’s for both natural haircolor and color-treated.
And yes, they have a line for brunettes and redheads!
Got 2 photos. A before and after. Though I don’t think they’re too helpful since my hair color can look SO different depending on lighting. (And everyone’s computer monitor’s display are different too!) But these were taken using the same lighting and camera settings. Um, yea, I was a total mess in the before from this weekend. In my defense I took it in the morning before my shower after I had worn my hair waved the previous day! HAHAHAAA!
The second picture is from today after work.

Like I said, so far the difference is subtle but more noticeable in person. Mike says he can tell a difference but perhaps he’s biased because he knows I’m using this stuff, hahahaa.
But, in short, I’m happy! I was looking for just a hair color pick-me-up, trouble-free. I didn’t want to go all out full on dye you know? I don’t have that sorta upkeep time to spare. I’m thinking of growing my hair out super long again and having to deal with dye wouldn’t be so fun. So yea, I’ll probably keep on buying from this line!
I also noticed my hair is finally breaking less! I guess my other shampoo was causing all the horrible breakage I’ve been having lately. Despite it being an “anti-breakage” shampoo! *fail*
