My 3 year old Kodak EasyShare just plain died on me. I'm thinking of the Canon PowerShot SX100. It's more advanced than the simple point and shoot, but it's user friendly. I plan on buying it once my paycheck comes in. Plus, you can get it online for $240 tops. And I have a friend who gets ConsumerReports magazine and it was one of their best buys. I'm sold on it. But it produces some very nice shots when you want to do some subtle, but tasteful nudes let's say. Sony makes a lot of nice products, but why not buy from someone (like Canon) that makes their living on building cameras? It takes great pictures and all the different settings you can use with it that you can't on a regular camera are fun to play with. I still use my point and shoot digital from 2002 or something for more on the fly things since it's small and I can carry it anywhere. It's a Pentax Optio 5i I believe.
