I say keep posting whatever makes you happy! if its a random recipe or a random outfit snap or a random grainy ass picture of your effing eyeball I say POST IT!!! This is your space to do whatever you want. And I for one will continue to read whatever you put. I love how your blog has evolved! (?) XD), emoticon (!), and your knitting blog :D 2007-2009 was blogging heyday, methink. When blogs with anime/manga/cute layout and pastel colors and random notes. Nowadays, most of the blogs are minimalistic and using default templates -- it's not a bad thing, tho (me myself is using templates XD) and most of us don't have the energy and time to design blog layout; especially with many blogging platforms are now having certain defaults which make it slightly more difficult to tinker with -- but I should admit that I love it whenever I can find some cute blogs out there. I have the same situation; I do have a blog but I didn't update it as regularly as it used to be -- yet I can't stay away from it. I think what makes blogging is slowing down right now is the people/community (?) I mean, on Tumblr and/or IG we can see people's posts and statuses; while blogging... Not so. Unless we use some kind of RSS feeds; and we can't automatically reblog or adding comments. And blogging app isn't as massive as social media apps. I use WordPress for iOS for blogging and it's pretty nice; but I don't use it as heavy as, say, Tumblr or IG. Ergh, sorry for the long (2 paragraphs) rant ^^; I remember your blog in “the old days”, with soooo many cute Japanese stuffs (I forgot the name, but it looks like a turtle with moving head as if enjoying the sun… (?) When commenting was at an all time high and so were hate comments. It was the only social media that made it difficult to leave flippant ranting comments on something. Of course I had my ask turned off for YEARS back then too! I think that’s what drew me to Tumblr though back in 2009 to begin with. When commenting was at an all time high and so were hate comments. A "heart" seems so unpersonal to me! Every once in a while somebody sends a message, but that happens to rarely in my case to make give tumblr that nice community feel you get with blogging! Looking forward to those recipes though, the food you post always looks scrumptious! As much as I love tumblr, the one downside (in my opinion) is there’s no real commenting feature. I can't get rid of it, I keep going back to it, I want to update more, but there never seems to be enough time and always a million other things to do first. I think it must be our generation. We all ran blogs and loved them when we had the time, now we've grown up and adult life has taken over a bit. And the generation who came behind us have latched onto Tumblr, etc., instead and so blogs are probably dying back a bit now. It's a shame cos I really enjoy blogging when I get the time! I discovered your blog years ago when I was first getting into japanese culture and it fed my love for japanese magazines! Although I started commenting recently, I also just wanted to say that I really like the curated look and feel of your blog and its content and I am down for some recipes! Best, Vanessa Hey Jenny!

I miss reading the "old" sort of blog posts but I find it more easy to be inspired by people's photography style and fashion. Personally I just use my blog to expand on what I post on instagram xD I still enjoy looking at your posts even if it has shifted to instagram and tumblr! That's definitely my thought going forward. The infrequency of posting, etc. I just tend to put a lot of what I used to put on my blog on my tumblr or Instagram now. Ah thank you.
