Eco & Glamour

// 30 Comments

It’s the weekend!! Everyone excited I am, though it would be nice if it would STOP RAINING EVERY DAMN WEEKEND! Torture really. WHOA thunder! Tonight I went and picked up my Non-no. I saw Glamorous there with Rinka-ちゃん on the cover and just couldn’t resist . At least her ass isn’t hanging out in this issue \=D/ YAY. It’s like an interview and 2 pages of photos, hahaa . I don’t care much for Glamorous, it’s OK. But there was a nifty New York Zagat booklet in there so that might come in handy! (We plan to train to NY as a vacation at some point. I haven’t been to NY in forever :*: )

I WANNA TALK ABOUT ECO-BAGS NOW!

My new love really . We’re switching to eco-friendly bags when grocery shopping as we move into the new house. We’re excited because we’ll ALSO have recycling picked up there too! Some bags I have already (but I plan to get tons more)~

I prefer the 99-cent grocery store ones, but Victoria’s Secret has 10$ ones right now in fun colors & slogans. You see these eco-bags at nearly every store now but I haven’t seen many people using them So I’m hoping by seeing others (me) use them people will slowly make the switch. And of course I can draw any personal line of interest to a relative point in Japan because I’m a psychopath (hahah, well, not really.)

My friend and I have been discussing eco-bags for months now. Recently she remarked that the Dean & Deluca eco-bags were worn by fashionable girls around Tokyo. And of course I then see this in CUTiE a month later… some click-able thumbnails below as well

Eco-bags sound very interesting. Some of them are cute. I like that one that says “green & gorgeous” XD I like tote bags a lot. Maybe I’ll get one sometime soon…

It’s been raining too much here too! But after the rain we probably won’t get much over the awfully hot summer… I love NY! Well, the city mostly. I haven’t been in a few years either, but you’re so much closer you should go often! splurge! ^__^
Have a good weekend even if it does rain all the time :3

You get Eco bags everywhere over here! When I go shopping, the stores put all your clothes in their own eco store bag or if they are raising money for charity, you can purchase the store’s eco bag too.

Funny how it’s suddenly in fashion now.. eco bags have been around for a while.

Eco bags are actually pretty bad… you’ve got the right mindset, but most people are just like ‘yeah i’ll take one’ when the store clerk asks, but you just don’t use them again. And they’re actually more environmentally unfriendly to make and harder to disintegrate.

End of rant on eco bags.

Meanwhile, nothing ruins a person like their ass hanging out… really.

*hand slap on the same IKEA bags XD*
Last year there was a “I am not a plastic bag” eco bag semi-phenomenon and they’ve really taken off here, especially since supermarkets have started charging for plastic bags! We’ve got our respective supermarket versions, plus the KAT-TUN one and the CUTiE one and I even got this recycling one for free last year….
I wanna blahblah hostpital bag right now though ##_ _

Rinka eating food pictures??? Please scan for me? 死ぬほどうまい!

Wooo! It’s been raining here a lot more than usual but I love it. Go buy a nice umbrella!

The eco bags around here aren’t all too pretty but I want to start using them too. I really hate plastic bags!

Oh and my break is for 2 weeks!

Eco-bags haven’t really taken off in my country, I don’t think. They are lying around the supermarkets but people don’t seem to use them - I’ve only seen one little, old lady use them!

Our supermarkets do give out green points if you re-use plastic bags. You can spend the points on anything you want, too.

Hey you remember me? Probably not but here’s some domain names you might remember grievous-angel.net, elysian-euphoria.net? Ring a bell? Anyway, I hope you get to take that trip to NY. That’d be fun. Well; I linked you on my site. Anyway, I think that’s it for now.

I got my first eco- bag on Saturday! It’s a Target one. The only person I’ve ever seen use any is this girl in my French class who has like 5 and uses them for her books. I would like to get some more so I don’t have plastic bags all over the place. They’re really annoying!

for the weather getting colder

LOL -You know, I’ve been inspired by your post to take my camera out to do some research (and ask fellow readers for their input) for a little “snap” of eco-bags! We have a fair-selection in Australia, and all of them a fairly spiffy! - I think I might do that next week (although I SHOULD be focusing on my assignment and practical papers :p) Hahhaa - any you like, just get me to send them to you ~!

NOW TO ATTACK RANDOM STRANGERS WITH QUESTIONS + NOTEBOOK! RAWWR!

i’ve been using eco-bags for quite some time now, but mostly when i’ve been too cheap to buy plastic ones. i’ve decided to make it an option every time from now on. they’re so easy to sew yourself so you could have a bunch and match them to your current outfit, me likes that!

(oh and hi! i’ve been reading you blog for ages but always stayed in the dark. i like it very much! x)
