I Thought My House Got Eaten

This storm passed through last night that first had monsoon-like rains and then at 4:30am woke both Mike and I up simultaneously with winds that sounded like it was eating the damn house!! I was certain there was a tornado roaring over us. Thankfully I was wrong, but there were wind gusts up to 60mph they said. It was so hard to fall back to sleep too. My body is so quick to pump adrenaline that I was pretty nauseous for the next half-hour that it took to fall back asleep.
The winds are still crazy today but thankfully I was working at home so I didn’t have to travel in them. Had builders come by today to fix their crappy heating duct work from when they built our home. That took HOURS and left my place extremely dusty not to mention it was distracting while I worked especially during some online seminar I had.
They cut 4 huge holes in my ceiling too

but they seemed to have patched them up pretty well so it shouldn’t be noticeable

I don’t know why but I just love this hairstyle pic! It looks so good on her~ I’m not sure it would work so great with my narrow face shape plus I don’t know if I’d be happy with 1-layer/length hair 100% of the time. Also I sometimes think long 1 length hair has a fine line between looking cute & mod and looking like plain Jane on me…. 
I tend to want lots of layers. I grew up with straight 1 length hair so that’s like the ANTI-GROWN-UP-JEN look in my mind~ But still it’s so cute I can’t help but think about it every now & then as an option.

thanks for posting the curling tutorials! My hair is naturally wavy but it never really curls, and I always like Japanese girls’ small curls, so thank you. :]
i get really stingy with poupee so i only bought one balloon. ‘_’;;

OMG, the winds were sooo terrible! It blew a shutter off my house…yet again and we just got them replaced along with some siding, sheesh. It blew so hard my attic door came loose!

i don’t think my hair works with curls. my hair is extremely fine and i don’t have a lot of volume and it never seems to work. maybe i shall try again when my hair has grown. for now i’m enjoying my boyish cut.

thank you for the curling tutorials! I have naturally straight hair but sometimes it becomes a little boring being straight all the time so I bought my own curling iron and the scans are going to be a big help!
