I received Skinfood’s Tomato Wrinkle Sun Cream care of Yesstyle.com. I started using it a few weekends ago and really like it. I had good results with Skinfood’s Tomato Spot Serum already so felt confident with this series.

It feels lightweight, absorbs quickly, layers under makeup well, and doesn’t cause acne. It goes on more like a primer than a facial sunscreen. Plus it works. The times I’ve forgotten to wear it out on the weekend I’ve come home with a bit of a burn.

I was able to compare it to another of Skinfood’s sunscreen, “Carrot Sun Cream.”

It was a sample size. Worked great, however, it was thicker and more “sunscreen-like.” Which is good for a day at the beach or hiking in the mountains. I have products for those activities already.

This was more about finding a better “daily wear” sunscreen and the Tomato Wrinkle one really fit my needs. Very happy.

Recently finished off a jar of my Mary & Mary Skin Conditioner Gel and am switching to Meishoku Organic Rose Moisturizer! Yesstyle started carry the organic rose brand and I’ve had pretty good results from their other products in the past. No break outs. So I’m hoping it’ll be the same with the moisturizing cream. I’ll be using it as my night cream :)

I also received the Moisture Lotion and Moisture Emulsion from Yesstyle and will start using once I’m sure the moisturizing cream doesn’t break me out. This way I’ll know if I do break out which item might be causing it. :)

I really like the Ettusais lip essence (stick) items. They’re sheer and moisturizing with a great little package. I got this one courtesy of Yesstyle. This particular version is a collaboration with the Japanese brand Swati. They added their designs to the tube.

The lip balm is sheer but has a pinkish sheen to it. They’re always moisturizing but not too sticky or thick and lasts for a long time. Works well on top of matte lipsticks too! Just a really great and simple lip balm.

Comfy cotton tee for running weekend errands. Layered under Madewell’s denim boyshirt :)

Had enough of cherry blossoms yet? There’s another way to enjoy the cherry blossom season. My Beauty Diary’s Japanese Cherry Blossom Mask. I received these courtesy of Yesstyle a few weeks ago. Perfect for the season. This particular mask is for mostly for relaxing but offers some brightening and restoring elements as well. It contains aloe for moisturizing which I need as my dry winter skin makes the change into spring.

I enjoyed this mask a lot. It has a sweet scent and it very soothing. It hasn’t caused any breakouts either and feels like a good “whenever” mask just for a relaxing moment.

The color reminds me of two other lipsticks I’ve used. First, the texture and color are reminiscent of MAC’s St. Germain. However Shu Uemura’s lipstick is more forgiving in color payoff and moisturizing. It’s easily made to look subtle and doesn’t crease the way my MAC St. Germain constantly would.

The other lip item it reminds me of is Baby Lips Pink Wink.
(Which is a limited shade in the duo pack.) I actually think the Baby Lips would be a great dupe for this. Though the Shu Uemura lipstick lasts much longer with less fading and isn’t shimmery like Baby Lips, the Baby Lips is more moisturizing and also bubble gum flavored.

This is my first Shu Uemura lipstick and I’m a bit obsessed with the packaging. It’s sorta a little futuristic. The case catches the light so beautifully and it just has this overall feeling of sleekness in its design.

It’s got a lovely exterior with the familiar Paul & Joe flower design etched into the side and a shiny knob for elevating the brush once the cap is removed. That’s my favorite part, the cap fits brilliantly. It definitely won’t be sliding off randomly in my makeup bag.

The bristles are very soft and have a nice give to them that makes applying blush or highlighter effortless. The open slit track where the knob is feels a little strange at first when holding it but I’m sure I’ll get used to it. :)

The bottle really reminds me of a nail polish mostly because of the wand that’s included. It’s a very liquified jelly-type blush that you dot onto your cheeks with the wand. The bottle is very small but honestly a little goes a long way! I’ve easily over-applied a few times I try applying just a small dot and adding more if needed after blending. I just blend with my finger. The color is long lasting and easily goes from day to night. ♪ The size of the bottle makes it easy for travel too.

Lip Essence Honey Stick

The packaging! There was something about this stick’s design I just adored. The little bee design and the texture of the stick was fantastic. The size was great too for carrying around. (Just don’t forget it and then accidentally Dry Clean the tube like I did ruining it!)

The flavor of the chapstick was a medicinal honey. Like honey cough syrup. Infused with royal honey & beeswax. It wasn’t great but it wasn’t awful either. The essence stayed on for a long time and really, really moisturized. It was what I was using day in and day out.

Lip Essence

This is the tube version of their lip essence. It is a super shiny but also moisturizing lip gloss. I find it to be the prettiest for natural but plumper looking lips. The gloss itself isn’t too tacky or annoying (I’m often not a fan of liquid-type glosses these day.) I feel it looks really nice for photos too without being overpowering. The color tint is extremely subtle. If anything, the color evens out your natural lip color. Limited edition color tint.

Got this new spoon & fork heart set from ioishop!

They’re dainty but perfect for light lunches or snacks. Very sturdy and easy to clean. I’ve been using them nonstop since they arrived. I like the textured look of the hearts too. It’s more brushed metal in appearance than the rest of the utensil. And the fork, it’s a hand :) hahaha~

The hearts are currently out of stock temporarily but there’s another cute set from them featuring faces.

This one is called “Healing Finland” and it’s from iswas on Yesstyle.

It’s larger than my 2012 desk calendar but the size is nice because my work desk is extra empty this year from a monitor rearrange. It’s easier to write in daily tasks too. So I’ve already gone through and mark all federal holidays! :deco2:

One side is a daily planner and the other is weekly. All the headings are really soothing photographs of Finland.

I just finished putting up the wall stickers. I really loved the look of them though I don’t read a lick of Korean. lolol I started learning once so I understand how the Hangul are formed but my vocabulary is at nill because I focused more on Japanese. :deco13: So mostly I just find these Korean stickers aesthetically “cute.” :P

I will say one of the stickers was missing the adhesive on a single “n” when I transferred it to the wall so I suppose it’s lucky I can’t read Korean because that would probably bug me seeing something misspelled, haha!

update – Mike fixed the adhesive-missing letter with some double-sided tape!

But all in all I love these and am really happy with them! You’ll probably be seeing them a lot in upcoming posts :)

The Ettusais lip items get so many rave reviews I decided to finally give them a try! The hint of color version is perfect. I haven’t tried them yet. Going to wait until I’m feel better.

Also invested in some Arbutin items! I used to have the arbutin version of SANA’s soy milk night cream. I couldn’t find it again when I ran out so I only have the non-arbutin version. I think my skin responds well to arbutin unlike collagen or hyaluronan acid which causes me break outs. So I picked up the toner in the SANA line I use for my moisturizer and then My Beauty Diary’s arbutin masks. I trust MBD so, so much with my skin. So gentle. The Southern France Apricot Mask is amazingly moisturizing! Great for winter!

A few weeks ago I received two eyeshadow palettes care of Yesstyle. Both from Shiseido’s Integrate line. :deco2:

Rainbow Gradation Eyes

This is my first non-neutral eye palette in years! I decided to get nostalgic and go with a purple palette (VI708.) In high school I was obsessed with purple eye color because YM (magazine) said purple was the best shade for green eye color!

It’s more of a sheer, iridescent palette. The gradation effect wasn’t as strong as I had expected. I’m also still getting used to seeing such a color again! I only had one chance to play around with it though since I’ve been away most of the time since receiving it. I will say the peal color is gorgeous. Absolutely one of the best pearl colors for inner corner & lower lid lining I have now. :deco5:

Pure Big Eyes

The second palette is a neutral beige (BE332.) I really like this palette! So much so that it, along with the Dolly Wink cream gold shadow I also received from Yesstyle, came with me on my Thanksgiving trip. It was all I needed. The colors blend beautifully and the pigmentation is rich without being overpowering. The pink pearl highlight it wonderful. It’s ever so slightly pink and really makes your eyes pop when used as a bottom liner for a teardrop look. :make:
