All last year, and the year before, I constantly “let it happen,” however even slight sunburn can leave dark spots as you get older. And I’m beginning to see the real effects of casual sunburns. I needed a real sunscreen for the weekends.

I received Skinfood’s Tomato Wrinkle Sun Cream care of Yesstyle.com. I started using it a few weekends ago and really like it. I had good results with Skinfood’s Tomato Spot Serum already so felt confident with this series.

It feels lightweight, absorbs quickly, layers under makeup well, and doesn’t cause acne. It goes on more like a primer than a facial sunscreen. Plus it works. The times I’ve forgotten to wear it out on the weekend I’ve come home with a bit of a burn.

I was able to compare it to another of Skinfood’s sunscreen, “Carrot Sun Cream.”

It was a sample size. Worked great, however, it was thicker and more “sunscreen-like.” Which is good for a day at the beach or hiking in the mountains. I have products for those activities already.

This was more about finding a better “daily wear” sunscreen and the Tomato Wrinkle one really fit my needs. Very happy.

Another Saturday http://sushi-cat.net/2013/06/15/another-saturday/ http://sushi-cat.net/2013/06/15/another-saturday/#comments Sat, 15 Jun 2013 20:33:02 +0000 jenny http://sushi-cat.net/?p=3309 Some pics from a few hours ago. Went into the city and stopped by the National Building Museum. They have a really great gift shop actually. And then headed to Capitol Hill to have lunch at Good Stuff Eatery. I wore pants though because it was supposed to be another cool day but it ended up being pretty hot. I should have just worn the dress I wanted but oh well what’s a little sweat anyway.

Around DC

From the gift shop. Pantone, wooden utensils, & metro maps happen to be some of my favorite things.

I’ve also continued with last week’s free sample usage.

I was so disappointed by Burt’s Bees’ Radiance set. These two items worked amazingly. My skin looked so good with the radiance moisturizer! However the scent just really bothered me. :(

I’m really sensitive the scents in facial products. This one just smelled sort of like stale sweet tea… and it didn’t fade which was the real problem. I ended up having to wash it off. But aside from the scent the product was really good.

The Skin Food samples were nice. Skin Food items are always nice but not always noteworthy.

A Small Beauty Haul http://sushi-cat.net/2012/01/20/a-small-beauty-haul/ http://sushi-cat.net/2012/01/20/a-small-beauty-haul/#comments Sat, 21 Jan 2012 03:26:18 +0000 jenny http://sushi-cat.net/2012/01/20/a-small-beauty-haul/ Earlier this week I received an order from Yesstyle. It’s a bit telling that it has a few New Year’s Resolution hopes tied to it! Ha! Lots of firming up body gels. I recently finished my giant bottle of Nivea Skin Firming Moisturizer Q10 Plus. I wanted to try more firming gels again. The Nivea one I used to use (which worked wonders) is no longer available.

So I picked up these three from SANA-

A few other things I got include -

I still have a lot to try from Christmas too.
I’m sorta on a beauty goods binge lately but it makes me happy so I’m not going to chastise myself over it right now :) Instead I’m off to try my Hadanomy cleansing gel!

This post had a lot of butts in it :P
