So Mike has a mail movie rental plan. Where you get DVDs in the mail. Well, A few weeks ago we started missing a lot of them. They were shipped but we never got them. We contacted the company and the post office. Mike noticed it looked like our mailbox was tampered with a lot too. Well, we got them to replace our mail lock. It was the same one as that the previous tenant had! Why don’t they change them when the person moves out!?!? Geezus!!!
We were just informed that our passports were delivered on the 9th. Yes, the 9th. Guess what… we never got them. Someone stole them (or so it seems thus far.) Mike said our mailbox was empty on the 9th b/c he was expecting movies that day too and our box was empty. Our shit apartment management refused to come to the office to let me look if the passports were sitting in there. They told me to “either call 911 or wait till office hours.” Stupid fucktards. It’s their fuckin’ fault our passports got stolen.
Now I’m worried that some fucktard is ruining my perfect credit rating!!!!!!!!!!!! Never mind that the passports costed an arm and a leg!!!!!!!! Mike’s not making the situation any better. He’s beyond wound up and pissed so I was staying calm, but now my stomach is all nervous. All the help lines are closed for the night and we can’t check the main office to see if they are sitting in their mail room *by any chance.*

Oh wow, that’s not good. I hope they are in their office. That’s really messed up of them to not even try to help you in anyway. I hope things get straightened out I feel bad that there’s nothing I can do to help I know how you must be feeling. :( Good luck tomorrow when you can ACTUALLY talk to someone sensible.
what a nightmare. last year someone stole a replacement debit card and i had no idea. Horrible. I know what it feels like, eh? Don’t fret too much though, you don’t know the whole deal yet, maybe your passports are safe. Only freak out when you know, haha. Save on stress. :/
wow..if somebody actually broke into your mail box then your apartment managers are real idiots..well they still are for not changing the locks sooner…what a headache…it sucks when stupid things like this just add to the stress load that you already have. I hope that your passports are safe and that you get them soon!! take care Jen~

OMG that doesn’t sound good at all :( The mailbox at my place in Leiden isn’t really safe either, so all the important stuff like bankpapers are send to my parents’ house
Maybe you should get a PO Box like tuan said. In The Netherlands passports are never send by mail. You have to pick them up personally… anyway, take care!
