I Keep Forgetting it’s Monday

Monday, 9月/1日 [2008年] // 24 Comments

I have to get to bed soon. Work bright & early! I actually worked at home today too just to catch up on some projects. It was fine. Mike was out at the movies with his bro and I was in too heinous of a mood to really enjoy the day anyway . I hate to say it but, I really ruined my entire day with my crap mood.

Anyway….

I wanted to post a little about the Aspirin Face Mask. Someone suggested it to me here at my blog so I started giving it a try a week ago! So far I LOVE it. I was actually 100% clear for a full 4 days too. I only just re-broke out because I was forced to be stuck in make-up for a full 12 hours Saturday without pre-existing knowledge that we’d be out THAT long.

I like this remedy mainly because it’s a great exfoliant. The problem I have with most scrubs is that there’s TOO much crap in them! They typically just make me break out more. But this “mask” can be as basic as a few aspirin and some drops of water. So I wanted to share it just because~ Feel free to do your own research on why it does or doesn’t work and so on

Aspirin Face Mask

3 aspirins, water, honey, 20mins

1: Take about 3 aspirin tablets and put them in a small bowl or plate. These can be coated or non-coated aspirin. I used coated. Sprinkle a few droplets of water onto the tablets directly and let sit for about 5 minutes. This makes them easy to crush with just your finger!

2: After crushing I add a small squirt of honey. Just regular ole honey. It helps keep the aspirin on your face as opposed to just the usual aspirin and water only version of the mask. It will also help soften your skin

3: Mix and apply to your face! It should be only slightly runny. If it’s dripping off your face you’ve got either too much water or too much honey added in. The less the better Also avoid putting this mask near your nostrils or on your lips.

4: Leave on for about 10 minutes. As you go to rinse it off with lukewarm water massage the aspirin bits a little with your wet fingers. Not too rough, but just enough to exfoliate and remove any dry skin. Afterwards feel free to apply a moisturizer because this mask can be drying to some. If it’s drying to your skin avoid using on a daily basis. This mask is actually less drying than my face wash so I do it about every night. It’s a good, quick spot treatment too!

You should notice your face is baby smooth afterwards and any redness or inflammation is reduced!

I heard about this a couple of months ago. But I’ve never tried since 1) I don’t think there’s any asprin at my house and 2) it sounds a little scary to me -.- Haha, I don’t know why, I’m just kind of afraid of asprin. But I’m glad the results turned out well for you Yeah, makeup could really ruin your skin. But we all know that we can’t live without it! I try to leave my face makeup-less over the weekend so that it could “breathe”.

(*^▽^)/ i tried this once before and i agree that it works. i also have an occasional moment of clear skin and then BLAM back to hell. because of makeup even though i barely wear any.
but theres another scrub…erm. its a knock off of st.ives that i got at walmart called equate apricot scrub for i think $2. scrubs great without having a bunch of stuff either. and japanese facewashes seem to be good too, anything from naive i use (・∀・)

My friends and I were trying to find a way to get rid of acne ; The air pollution here in HK is SO BAD that you get acne so easily *cries*

I wonder if aspirin on your face will have the same cons as when you intake it orally….*goes do some research* XD

Ooh, that looks worth trying! Except well… my face is just naturally clear already. >_> But it’s definitely a quick and easy way to wash your face if I break out or something. Thanks for demo!!

    aha~ so it worked!
some people worry about putting aspirin on their face, but it may help prevent skin cancer. another plus xD
