Back in DC (49)

I’m back! Pretty obvious if you follow my twitter. I had such a great trip. Relatively drama-free and warm and just… fun! So having that 1,000 miles back between me & my family feels bittersweet. Usually I’m dying to get back to DC, but not this time~~

It didn’t help that 2 packages I had been expecting to be waiting for me weren’t here!! UGGGGGGGGGH!! My Christmas gift from my bff in Japan is no where to be found. We both contacted our post offices and were both told that the holidays, snow, and attempted plane bombing has delayed mail greatly. So hopefully it’ll arrive this coming week.

My other package was an order of circle lenses. I ordered them on the 12th but contacted the company who didn’t send them out til the 23rd =___=;; . They said it could take up to 12 business days to be delivered so I’ll give them another week before demanding a refund. There are so many freakin’ circle lens online shops! I wasn’t sure which to go with seeing that just about everyone uses a different shop.

The extra frustration comes from the fact that I need prescription lenses. Not just plano 0.0. To make it WORSE I need varying prescriptions for each eye! UGH! I only found about 2 or 3 sites that:

1: offered prescription lenses up to my highest strength needed -9.00

2: offered the option to choose a prescription for each eye.

My left eye is -8.50 and my right is -9.00

Sigh. They were kinda a whim Christmas gift to myself and nothing a really “needed.” I’ve just wanted to try some for a long time but it used to be impossible to find them in the higher prescription strengths. Any one else in my same situation have a good circle lens site they’ve used?

Anyway. I’ll try not stress about these things I have NO CONTROL OVER. Instead, here are a few more photos from my vacation at Disney & at my family’s on New Year’s~~

Hello 2010! (37)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
2010 BE KIND!

I hope everyone can look back fondly on 2009 but be hopeful for 2010! This past year wasn’t the best, but it wasn’t the worst for me either. It was full of amazing surprises like having my friend from Japan visit!!

I already wrote my real resolution out earlier. About only buying the clothes I truly want instead of buy things I sorta like on sale. I hope to end 2010 with a smaller, but better closet of clothes! But I would also like to pick up studying Japanese more. I tend to go through studying spurts. I think I might study while in the tub, haahaaa! It would be a good 20 minutes to an hour’s time and I usually just use that time to flip through magazines

Tonight I’ll be spending it mostly with my family but plan to stop by a party too. I just wanna set off fireworks! It’s a big reason why I always loved New Year’s & a huuuge reason I visit my family on New Year’s ;P

Disney World (53)

Hello from the road!
I’ve been really busy with Christmas of course~
Currently leaving Florida & driving to my family’s now. Only 5 more hours to go! Haahaaa

I was hoping I’d be blogging more but I didn’t really have much quiet time till now (in the car!) And even now Mike wants my full attention, haha. My parents’ tend to be less hustle & busle so maybe I’ll be twittering & blogging more while there~ Though I know people are as busy as me and have better things to do than surf blogs! Ha!
