Majolica Majorca All Night Compact (78)

I’m feeling pretty great still! Though at night I could really use a humidifier. I’ve had 2 in the past but they both broke so I’m a bit gun-shy about picking up another, but I probably should. Unfortunately Mike has relapsed. He had the same flu, just before me. Then today at work I found out A LOT of people have had the same virus I had!! It’s a really nasty one! Took them days & days to recover too

Hopefully he’ll feel up to going out Saturday. We agreed no more night travels (too rough on the system.) Went out last night to finally go pick up magazines and grab a quick dinner. The snow has kept me from getting out there in some time. Though I’m really missing Pinky. I got Ageha, Popteen, and SCawaii. I really need something non-gal related but nothing appeals to me enough. I know if I buy Vivi I’ll barely flip through it. Wasteful. I still need to find my Pinky replacement I guess. When PopSister comes out it’ll be a bit different, but not by much, LOL. We’ll see~ everything seems too OL, mote-kei, or rock for me right now~

I wanted to talk about some makeup I recently got with my Yesstyle order! I finally got my hands on the Majolica Majorca All Night Compact! It’s nice! It can be used as a highlighter to match up with my blush! I’ve been looking for something like the Candy Doll Highlighter powder. I haven’t found much in makeup stores. Most highlighters are golden and liquid it seems. But this (though I know, it’s a Japanese brand too) works pretty well! It’s like a semi-translucent, pink powder that’s a bit shimmery but not too much! Not to mention the case is gorgeous. Majolica Majorca stuff always is.

I just put it on my cheeks. I don’t put highlighter on my nose EVER because I’ve got a big, more than noticeable nose as it is, LOL, so skip that make step if you’re following Japanese magazine tutorials & you don’t have a cute button nose.

Tori had sent some shimmering powder for Valentine’s Day. It’s white and looked like maybe that could be used as a highlighter. However it’s too glittery for a highlighter. BUT, I have to say it’s the best damn glitter powder I’ve ever tried! Some shimmering powders are too subtle, you know? When you want something really fun! But others are TOO glittery with giant glitter chunks hanging off your face. This is seriously a “twinkling” powder~! Enough to notice you’re sparkling but not overkill like you’re going to a rave!

OK~ now I leave you with a camwhoring balloon-loving pic! Taken last night. GOD I LOVE BALLOON! LOL

It felt good to get dressed for myself after weeks or either being stuck indoors, or only going to work and back which is not dressing for “myself.” I think camwhoring serves a greater good for girls’ self-esteem. I think it’s often seen as a vain thing, but I think it can really boost a person’s confidence in themselves! I’m being serious! I think there’s this confusing mantra where we want every woman to feel pretty but not express it openly because that’s tasteless vanity? Hummmm~ food for thought~

I wish more girls would post even more photos of themselves. It’s a nice way to connect with the blogger too~~!! I always like seeing a lot of pics though. Maybe I’m biased, haahaa!

Tokyofasghion.com has featured some girls who run around decked out in ダブルシー clothes together and it’s so cute!

The Spring line has been slowly added to the store site day by day. I check it, obsessively, daily hahaaahahaa! So far anything I would want is already sold out by the time I check it. Like this tank that I saw on there this morning. I’d want the dark colored ones but only yellow is available. I did manage to win a Yahoo Auction for this t-shirt though! It’ll be a few weeks before I get it

This sweater was still available for purchase but sold out while I was typing this up! CRAZY~~

Chinatsu has been wearing these over-sized belts lately in her blog pics~

The W♥C shop staff blog is another stalking site of mine, it’s nice to see the staffs’ coordinates and showing off the new items. I really liked this girl’s coordinate! So I thought I’d put something similar together! I have a large striped cardigan but it’s yellow + white and long… didn’t really look good. So I swapped it out for gray polka dot short cardigan!

I’d wear it out this weekend but we’ve got another giant show. They say between today and late Saturday night we could be getting 28″ or more! WTFFFFFFFFFFFF~

Thank god we went out and grabbed a quick bite for dinner last night! Then it was off to grocery shop for a few things we ran out of. Bread. Of all things we needed bread during the panic of a looming snowstorm! Bread sells out anytime there’s a snowstorm scare Thankfully no one seems to like whitewheat bread like us so there were a few loaves left! Also needed more lunches for work AND I was out of apples. As I’m typing this my life seems ever increasingly boring, hahahaaa

“mini” veggie burgers. Yea they’re not that small huh?! I couldn’t even finish both

And no, I’m not vegetarian, I just love vegetable-things, hahahaa~!

New York Trip~

Even though it’s not until April, Mike & I are 99.9% positive we’re gonna take a trip to New York for my birthday~~!!

Just for my birthday weekend, so not long. But longer than the LAST time I went to New York which was about 7 years ago. I got really sick and only got to spend about 8 hours in the city. I spent the rest of my time barfing in Jersey at a family member’s house. So yea, I DIDN’T GET TO DO MUCH!

We’ve talked about how we really should visit again since it’s so close~

We’re gonna take the train (I love trains, shut up!) It’s a really short train ride and cheaper than flying & less stressful than driving. I know there’s a Kinokuniya Book Store & UNIQLO there, but any other suggestions? Is there really purikura at Kinokuniya or just a rumor? Also any hotel suggestions? Is staying in a hotel near Penn Station a good idea or horrible? Suggestions prease!!

~~ Speaking of trips we did our taxes this week and we have plenty to take a nice 2 week vacation to Japan this year!! Mike wants to go in September for our second anniversary, so we’ll see D, I know I want to make it down to Kyoto this time as well as Tokyo again but since it’s much further off I probably won’t really talk ’bout it much till I have more concrete plans~~ I don’t usually like to announce things premature~ I’m just excited & relived too because we had said we’d go back within 2 years, probably gonna spend every day with my BFF there XDDDD yaay for taxes *hahahaaa
