Tons of Snow (45)

Firstly, does anyone have a Japan shopping service they’ve used and were fairly happy with? I’m looking to purchase from the Shibuya 109 net shop. I know there’s the new International Rakuten but it’s difficult to find the latest items on there.

In other news, EPIC SNOW IN DC!

Something like 2 feet is expected but a few hours ago were we already at 17″ and it’ll be snowing until midnight. Hum, hummmmmm! I need to go check where we’re at now!

We’re actually doing “our” Christmas this weekend so it works out for us! We’ll be spending Christmas at family’s this year. We usually do Christmas here, just us. It’s a bit bittersweet. I enjoy Christmas the most without family. I know it sounds awful but Mike’s my family now.

But I’m also happy to see family on Christmas too this year. It’ll be nice.
We’re cooking Turkey dinner tonight and tomorrow morning will be our “Christmas Day.” Hahahahaa! It seems so weird and early but with work & travel it’s the only time that worked.

Oh! So the first Abercrombie & Fitch opened last week in Tokyo. My friend told me they’re being really secretive about their prices. To the point that they even conceal the original US prices from any Japanese user that visits the US online store. When they visit the US online store the prices are only visible in Japanese yen and not the original US dollar amount! SNEAKY~ SNEAKY! Looks like A&F want to try and recoup lost American Dollars from the currently stronger Japanese market. Glad my friend got some cheap A&F gets during her visit with me this summer! $7 shorts, whut whut! Hahahahahaa

New H&M Outerwear (67)

Took an hour lunch today to go to a new H&M grand opening ! I used to drive about 15 minutes to this other one but it was so tiny and there wasn’t much interesting in the mall it was in. Now I have one right down the road! WHOOT! AND I must say I’m loving it compared to the other ones in the DC area. Even compared to the Tyson’s Corner and Georgetown ones, this one carries more my style of clothing. (THANK GOD!)

Mike took a long lunch to go too and we were among the first 100 people in line which = freebie score! I got 50$ worth in gift certificates plus a t-shirt, bag, and umbrella. The lady standing next to me was kind enough to trade my M size for her S! It was a lot of fun because the other people in line were pretty cool and nice to talk to. Plus Godiva was passing out free dark chocolate truffles, hahaaa

I ended up getting 2 new outwears! First, a parka with fur! I’ve been wanting one of these for a couple of years now, and I got it for $20 (originally 70$!) I also got a new blazer. I have one already but I liked the fabric for this one plus it’s pure black (mine has pink pinstripes) and it’s longer than my current one.
