Rosewater & Bvlgari au Thé Vert
Tuesday April 19, 2011

For a very long time now I’ve wanted Bvlgari’s au Thé Vert.
Three years ago I encountered the fragrance at a ryokan that offered private onsen and ofuro. :bath: I couldn’t believe that the free amenities were Bvlgari. Luxurious~ :deco2: For days I used au The’ Vert shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. :deco7: Continuously smelling the fragrance as I relaxed in onsen & ofuro in the peaceful outdoor paradise. It really means a lot to me. And I’m immediately transported back to a place of peace&quiet whenever I smell it. :deco3: It’s a true sensory connection for me. Oh but you know it’s Bvlgari so the price had put me off from buying it for a long time. :drops: I wish I had purchased it much sooner. If there were ever a fragrance I’d consider “mine,” this would be it. :deco2:

Notes:
Green Tea, Bulgarian Rose, Italian Bergamot
Style:
Lively. Delicate. Discreet.
Au Thé Vert is actually unisex. :ok:
Though usually found in the “women’s” section. :deco2:
I also always wanted a full size of Bvlgari Rose Essentielle :deco1: since receiving a deluxe sample bottle 2 years ago at Christmas. :deco13: Oh but I’m not crazy, I didn’t buy two Bvlgari fragrances at once :).

Rosewater by Crabtree & Evelyn.
I stopped by the store for a sniff after seeing the Rosewater hand cream on poupee. It’s really fantastic. Very potent rose fragrance and an affordable alternative to Bvlgari. I love it. :deco6:
The testing sheets are very pretty too & designed to look like the fragrance bottle. :deco11:
The scent lingers in my closet hours after I spray it. :deco1:

Lovely! And the fact that it means your honeymoon and being in love is so fantastic! I think for Andy it’s the scent of buffalo wings LOL
-
au thé vert looks so lovely! I’m far to poor to afford that though! And I love the scent of rose- I might have to copy you and try Crabbetree and Evelyn’s Rosewater.
As for me, I’m in love with Ralph Lauren’s Romance. It’s so light and flowery without being overbearing; the scent is very soothing to me and isn’t too noticeable. I feel comfortable when I can smell it on my own clothes.
-
Both of these look so lovely & yes, luxurious~! I love the Au Thé Vert bottle~ minimalist beauty at its best.
-
it sounds like you found what you wanted ~
i’ve heard a lot of good things about Blvgari’s au The’ Vert (that it’s expensive too hehe ), and now i’d like to try it myself..
and the rosewater ~ it happens to be one of my favorite scents ^_^Wonderful scents ~ talking about it makes me feel so serene!!
-

I want them all -
I love the bottles! They look so nice~^^ I’ll have to try them both out!

I love Bvlgari! My mom and I totally bought two at once… lol. Right now we’re using ‘pour femme’.
-
OMG! I have the same perfume :)
i love the bvlgari one. its very simple and fresh.
im not a huge fan of perfume since most of them
have the sweet smell (like vanilla) which gives
me headache…im okay when people have it one
but i can’t stand it to put on me..but the bvlgari one, i usually spray it on me
and in my room also ^^its my cats favorite too :)

I don’t think we have a bvlgari store here or anywhere that has their stuff? Or I’ve never noticed… :x
It always takes me around 3 years to get around to buying fragrances I really want cause they’re always so damn $$ and I always seem to like the same-ish stuff! (A bit musky :’D)
On a fragrance buying ban now cause the last two I bought were just too darn expensive :xI’ve managed to actually use up my bodyshop white musk and burberry brit so those might be my fragrances?
-
ive never used the womens perfume but an ex-bf had the mens and i still remember his smell. it was so delicious.
xoxo

I wish I could smell it through my computer! LOL the way you describe it makes it sound PERFECT for spring :D
-
Oh nice!! I love scents like that…that just bring you to a quiet, pleasant memory.
That’s how my connection is with Crabtree & Evelyn… :) I love their things.
My grandmother has the best smelling soaps and such…I know she won’t be around forever so I hope that these little scents can help me grasp her essence one day…
I guess that’s a little weird but whatever ^^; -
OOO rose water!
I’d say Chanel’s Gardenia from their Les Exclusifs de CHANEL collection is my favorite perfume. I go back to it time and time again even though you can only buy it at Chanel boutiques (and I’m always intimidated going in there because I feel like the staff are always side-eyeing me.) Smelling it always brings me back to the favorite summer of my life.
Although right now, I’m heavily into Guerlain’s Insolence. I think most of their perfumes are little pieces of olfactory art!

oooooooh fancyyy!
-
Oooh~ Bvalgari~~! Fancy~
I love rose-scents~! Such a romantic smell~! I bet the Anna Sui beauty products are 10x more popular because they’re rose scented then if they were not..!
I haven’t tried the Crabtree and Evelyn scent before, maybe I’ll check it out if I have time, hehe~~! =D
-
now i want to go smell that bvlgari stuff! i cannot do flowery perfumes; i sneeze and sneeze and sneeze :(
-
They sound like such a fresh scent. Sound gorgeous to me. Cos I don’t like perfumy-scents, I prefer the more natural ones :)
-
Super glad you found your scent! hahaha it sounds wierd but I’ve yet to find a scent that Im madly in love with =( It’s hard but oh wells, patience is key right? Hopefull I run into my scent as romantically as you did!
-
Hi ;’D I agreed that Bvlgari’s au The vert is really nice! But i hardly use fragrance, so I just pursued myself to not buy it lol
So I often use fragrance soap instead heehee -
The way you describe the scents make me want to go find them and smell them XD! I love scented things and now I’m really curious as to how they smell. I also love the bokeh lighting effects in your pictures :)
-
OMG! I want to try Rosewater now!
I love Bvlgari too =3! It’s really delicate ♥!
It’s wonderful how a fragrance can make you remember such a nice moment and feel so relaxed ☆!
As for me, I usually wear Envy me by Gucci or Black XS by Paco Rabanne ♥! Burberry London is also one of my favorites but I run out of It u_u!xoxo

I love scents that can transport you to a certain place or time. And the last bottle is gorgeous.
-
hmm i’ve never seen this bvlgari scent! but now i’ll be on the lookout because i’m assuming from the name that it smells like green tea!?! and anything that’s scented with tea usually smells very nice.
-
Waaaaaaaugh!! I have so much to catch up on ;A;
I’m so horrible with keeping up with blogs these days…GOMEN!!Ahhhh those scents sound fabulous!! I’ve been leaning more & more towards rose scents these days. I’ll have to try out that Crabtreet & Evelyn. The packaging of both are lovely!!
-
I never heard of BVLGARI, i’m so behind the times! >.

au thé vert seems like such a relaxing scent! and that rose water, omg! i love your fragrance posts, they are always so feminine! i’d say my signature scents would be harajuku lover’s (old) G & Baby perfumes, they are happy fragrances i can identify myself with!
