Autumn Camping

Did a short overnight camping trip this weekend. I wanted to get some fresh and cool air into my lungs hoping it would help clear up the rest of my flu symptoms. The weather was perfect. Plenty of sun with cooling temperatures at night. When I’m camping I sometimes find it hard to believe that I enjoy it but I truly do. There’s this sense of “letting go” when I’m camping. Trivial things drift out of my mind and I can just be.

    That looks beautiful! I grew up camping and totally loved it as a kid, but ever since moving to California I haven’t truly enjoyed it… it’s just so HOT and barren here. I’m just more of a forest girl than a desert girl!

      Oh that’s interesting! Growing up I only knew beach camping. I sorta miss that. The waves and the sand but the hardwood trees here have so much to offer. I think it’s more about exploring and if there just isn’t much to explore … and it’s impossibly hot & ick… it would be hard to enjoy for myself too.

    I’m jealous of the possibility of going camping in September! It’s way too cold here. But I can take long walks in the forest instead and get ALMOST the same feeling hehe :) It’s so beautiful during Fall.
