Happy Birthday, time to grow up.

It’s my little sis’s 15th Birthday today. Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag! It’s funny how different she is at 15 and where the family is now compared to where I and my family were when I was 15. I envy her…, truly.
So, not to jinx myself but I’m the happiest I’ve been in months. I don’t mean just today, I mean for the past few weeks. I know, 3 bad/tough days in a row… but that’s nothing to me. It’s just a bad streak & I know that, of course. What I’m referring to is me, as a person, since moving here. It was what I wanted when I first moved here, but the whole living situation (cough, roommate, cough) made the relationship between Mike and I so, so hard. As “drama-queen” as this sounds, we almost broke up about 3 times. When I say almost, I mean tears and conversations like, “Who should move out?” … sigh. It was hard. And yet I talk about it like it’s nothing anymore.
I’m happy again. I know we don’t have any “relationship” problems. We have our life to ourselves. We’re just doing great. And honestly, I just think the cliche’, “It’s not you it’s me” line over and over. Because it WAS just me. I couldn’t deal with everything new. No family, no real friends, no knowledge of the area… new job… I couldn’t deal with that PLUS other drama and I pushed it all onto our “relationship.”
Anyway. BLAH BLAH BLAH I felt like blogging all this and so… I did:calmair:

you guys went through a lot of things in a very short time..and everything was new…I’m glad you guys made it and that you are feeling very content with everything! Good job Jen!!! I’m proud!

Aww! well, its good that now you and Mike are better, because it would have sucked if you broke up. I’m sure he understood the reasons of you just being alone/confused/and, most likely, a bit scared.

Sometimes it can be so hard when you move to a new area. I’ve moved alot in my life, and it was a struggle each time. I’m glad things are getting better with you and Mike. I hope things continue to work out for the better as well.

Waaiii congrats with your little sister’s bday! I guess my older sister feels the same as you does at times *sigh* I’m glad you feel happy and that you’re able to look back and see what was bothering you. I guess other drama always has a big impact on relationships. Haha when it comes to Klaas and me we already get into a fight if we’re tired, so… I can’t imagine how it must be like if we’re having serious tension going on with other things in life. Oh I didn’t know there was a roommate! That can be hard *urgh* thinks of her own roommate
