But it was such a short storm!?

Thursday, June 5th, 2008 | 17 Comments

Yesterday was awful. Some storms passed through with hard rains and winds. Lightening strikes and downed trees/powerlines. The train line I take got canceled so I had to take the metro. It takes me 3x’s longer to get home on the metro (about an hour) plus I get a really bad case of motion sickness if I have to ride over 30 minutes O_O.

Rainy Window

Power was out all over the city and surprisingly it still is in some places! We went out on our “date” only to find the restaurant we originally wanted was still without power . Also, I woke up feeling really blahh this morning, took my shower, then found out that the trains were canceled AGAIN all day. They were still removing trees off the tracks apparently. So, I just took a sick day. Glad I did too because all afternoon my tummy felt like this ->

The funny part??…

It was gorgeous out today! Even my roses started to re-bloom! It’s odd because when I first received them they were pure yellow. Now they have red, like a peace rose but richer in color. And there’s symbolism

Yellow with red tips: Symbolizes a gesture of falling in love.

Oh my! 【WINK WINK】('0ノ'*)オッホホ

{was goofing around with my database again, sorry, I lost some of the comments ;P}

That’s a really pretty flower.

We’ve been getting rains and storms lately too. Our power even went out today and the sun was out all day. Made me wonder…. >.>

I watch/listen CNN at work and heard about the storms coming in. I actually had just returned home before this happened, if I had waited I would have had to drive right though it!
I like trains, but I haven’t taken the subway yet - every time I visit a major city I always walk or take a taxi even though I don’t like taxis.
Pretty roses! I need to start back up with my gardening - my new balcony has more space for more flowers!

Hehe, nice with those roses! But after rain comes sunshine — so enjoy your sick day and lovely weather! :-)

I hope that storms doesn’t come here in a few days -pass over germany, pass over germany- because we are having the loveliest of weather.

Tomato-chan had it pretty rough in VA/Metro area. The power was out the next day too! Poor kitties spent their day in darkness (basement). It didn’t even rain all that hard here in PA :T Hope your sick day was good. Ahh! The roses look GORGEOUS!

PS: I need your new address…

I haaaate storms. X( Not only for the trouble they can cause, but also the bad mood they seem to put everyone (including myself) in. It’s so hard for me to be in a good mood when it’s storming outside.

The roses are soo pretty! ^^
