Still Sick

Thank you everyone for the anniversary wishes! :champagne::celebrate:
I did make it out for our dinner last night, but we left pretty quickly after finishing. I just didn’t feel great. I keep feeling better, then feeling worse. :eep:
I took that day off from work just to rest up some. I ended up sleeping 12 freakin’ hours.
I went back out this morning too and we had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. But when I got home I felt AWFUL. So I went and bought some of that Severe Cold Congestion medicine. You know, the kind they keep behind the counter because apparently druggies buy it to make, well, drugs. This already made me nervous about taking it since I usually have bad reactions to the stronger medications.
But I took them and WOOOOOOOOOOOOW does it make me jittery!! I mean, I don’t necessarily feel better, just numb and super jittery like I NEED TO GET UP AND MOVE AROUND AND DO SOME SH*T NOW! So that’s why I’m online after being basically off since Thursday. :;_;: But I am glad I got it, I can actually function now and not just lie in misery.
OH! My anniversary gift from Mike was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G-L-Y PERFECT!
He got me this owl necklace from MARC by Marc Jacobs! I had seen his new owl motif on a tote bag but didn’t know he carried it into the accessories line too!!!

Mike told me he wanted to get me an owl necklace but was really unhappy with everything he saw. Then he said he saw this and when he found out it was by Marc Jacobs he was like, “This is perfect!” (I do like Marc Jacobs after seeing that documentary and told Mike I prefer his MARC by Marc Jacobs line the best!)
We also passed the nanette lepore store last night. It was closed. And I know how ecologically terrible it is that they leave ALL their lights and TVs on but OMFG does it make for some serious eye candy!
I realized yesterday that the majority of my nice dresses & outfits no longer fit… *sadface.* I really need to go out and buy about 2 nice dresses and a nice dressy skirt in a size that fits but I just haven’t felt like trying anything on lately. That said, I went to dinner looking pretty business casual rather than romantic date style. Sigh. I’m going to try and snag some deals this weekend if I feel up to it but I’m not feeling too hopeful about it. I don’t really need a dress until the holidays I suppose.
I’m rambling. Here’s what I wore Friday & today just for fun~
And the pink ruffle skirt is no long a high-waist style since it sits on my hips now (mega huge sigh of discontent. :madmark: )

Aw, I hope you feel better. I hate feeling horrible at nice occasions. I remember my last night before I moved out, I was so excited to eat at a nice restaurant only to have stomach problems. I couldn’t enjoy any of my favorite dishes at all :(
There’s an obvious downside to losing weight, but think about how much healthier you are now!

I’m sorry you’re still not well, but it’s good to know that you were able to pull through and have a special dinner. That necklace is amazing. So cute and chic. Mike really knows how to pick the perfect present :)

Wow, you’re so lucky! The MBMJ necklace is super cute :3 Wow, that store looks so pretty! Maybe you could see if a tailor could take in all the clothes that don’t fit anymore? Could be a lot cheaper than buying new clothes… but not as fun :P

Ah luckily that medicine didn’t do anything else o.0 but man… being productive when sick sounds better than just being… well sick but it’s still such a bother either way =(

I’ve learned that safety pins do wonders on clothes (mostly skirts) that are too big (which I feel lazy to fix/get fixed but I know I want to wear it anyway).
