Leah Duncan Furoshiki

May 21, 2013

A few weeks ago I ordered the below furoshiki designed by Leah Duncan off of Uguisu along with a strap used to transform it into an easygoing bag. I really loved the print. Not only the colors (I’m still really into deep blues) but I liked how the hard edges of the design played into such a soft and smooth fabric especially when being used as a bag. I was feeling at a loss for a summer bag. Sometimes tote bags feel too plain but my super structured red fold over tote didn’t feel “warm weather” enough. When I saw this it was like a light went on. :) Plus with this strap I figure I can turn any scarf into a bag if I want to do so in the future.

I haven’t had a chance to put the bag together yet. I’ll try to skip off and do that now.

But here are some photos from their webstore for a better idea. They offer a bunch of different patterns.
