When taking these photos I realized I’m really happy with the amount I currently have. Not too much but not too lacking either for my needs. I used to feel like I always had too much and it gave me a lot of guilt. But I don’t sweat it much these days.

Thoughts

I need to purge my eyeshadows because some of the palettes are repetitive and I really love the SUQQU one Karen sent me for my birthday. I think it can replace my two KATE shadows. So I’ll set them aside and see if I go for them anytime soon. Also the Dolly Wink rainbow crystal cream shadow I rarely wear. However the gold version I wear constantly.

I might purge a few blushes too like the Lavshuca because the color is reptitive in my collection.

Most of the opened mascaras are nearly finished. I’ll be opening the Trish McEvoy one very soon. Same with the eyeliners. The 3 middle liquid liners are nearly out.

The Paul and Joe pressed powder is hitting a lot of pan. It’s why I bought the Hourglass powder to replace it. I’ve been using the Hourglass for a week and so far no break outs! Same with the YSL concealer pen. I tried a free sample and liked it so much that it’s my new “go to” concealer. I got it last week with the Hourglass powder and so far no break outs from it either.

Also I thought I had taken a photo of the Burt’s Bees and a few lip balms I use but I couldn’t find it. I like some of their lip tints.

I’m liking the benetint and watts up. Sometimes Benefit face creams (like That Gal) break me out but so far no break outs from these two items. I used the Girl Meets Pearl a few times but not consistently enough to say whether or not it will break me out.

I regret not doing one before my Japan trip. :deco13: I had a lot less eyeshadow (I only had Naked 2 & the Shu palettes for a while,) but also had a few new things that I’ve since finished such as my Paul & Joe pressed powder. This is all of my current makeup. I swap out shadows weekly depending on my mood. Blush as well. Sometimes I get really obsessed with a certain combination or look but that hasn’t really been the case in recent months so the variety suits my tastes right now.

I haven’t picked up much new since Japan. Instead I’ve been using what I have and hitting pan left & right. :) Then there are my holy grail items I’ve been repurchasing for years like Benefit’s Get Even Powder.

For quite a number of months now I’ve been really obsessed with brown makeup shades. Brown mascara, brown liner, brown shadow. And right now it’s very easy to find brown makeup in Japan. Even brown liquid eyeliners. So .. this is pretty evident in what I picked up.

I know these palettes mostly all look the same. lolol
Pink and brown. But they’re all actually pretty different. Different pigments and mostly different level of “sparkle.” All the palettes I purchased were shimmer or glitter. I avoided glitter for a while but I want them again after being surrounded by so many while there!

All brown except Lash King and the mascara base. The mascara base is serious business! Takes a bit of extra time to remove. Lash King is REALLY good at long & thick lashes.

Finally I have liquid brown eye liners!
Surprisingly no two are exactly alike. Different shades, different pen width. I really love the Love Switch one because it’s a very soft brown. But the deep browns are good for stronger (but not deep black strong) looks.

The size of the COFFRET D’OR surprised me. I had seen them rated highly online & in magazines so I wanted to pick up one or two but the size … the case is like the size of a moonpie! So I settled for peach :) It’s an incredibly shimmery blush + highlighter.

I regret not buying all 4 KISS blush palettes. Great pigment and wonderful matching highlighter. The brush is a good useful shape that compliments the palettes design.

I’m really happy I got the lash curler after seeing a CM for it while there. I got a limited version that has hearts on it. It takes longer to curl my lashes than the usual metal curler but the curl is more voluminous, noticeable and lasts all day (and night) long.

• Eyemazing – Amo Pastel Accent Lash

Even the lashes I bought were brown :)

Various polishes I got including Ettusais’s Gel Top Coat which was everywhere. I’ve used it a few times already and it’s pretty good! I think it’s slightly better than Majolica Majorca’s gel top coat. Lasts just a little longer and doesn’t scuff as badly. I like gel top coats, not only for the look, but they tend to “crease” rather than chip which is far less noticeable.

Being there really got me in the mood for pink sheer polish…

• Baby Pink – BB Mineral Cream

This is from the brand Bison who also makes the popular sweat bath salts amongst other things. Popular in RanKING RanQUEEN.

• Yojiya – lip blotting sheets and mini mirror

OK these feet peeling type masks REALLY WORK. My feet are so, so soft now. Softer than any pedicure spa has ever gotten them.

The two pouches I keep my makeup in. The one on the left is my main hanging + travel pouch from Sephora. I keep this in my closet and switch out makeup into the pouch on the right. The right pouch is smaller and this has my current “daily makeup” in it. I switch out what’s in it regularly especially blushes and lip colors depending on my mood.

These 3 items I just bought to test out. It’s a sample pack from Benefit. Only $10 and includes small versions of Benefit’s “That Gal” primer, “The POREfessional PRO” balm, and their “Stay Don’t Stray” eye primer.

I’ve tried the eye primer already as a free sample. I like Urban Decay’s better still. I’m currently using the pore balm. Making sure it doesn’t break me out with daily use. So far seems OK, hard to tell. I’ll know when I’m done with the tube. Then I’ll try out “That Gal.” So far I’m not over impressed by either but I’ll give it time.

BB Cream, Foundation, Concealers, Powder, Setting Spray
I use these the most daily. Typical day includes BB Cream + concealer (both liquid and under eye type) + powder

I don’t use the foundation much since I like my my BB Cream more but I at least always use my powder every day. :deco10:

Blushes, Highlights, Bronzer
Currently my daily makeup includes the Highbeam and a different blush from my Shu Uemura palette below. But these I tend to switch up the most! I wear the other powder highlighters a lot, every other day, the bronzer too, and the Cosmagic Deco Blush I’ve been wearing a lot lately.

The orange blushes I tend to wear more often in summer so I haven’t worn them much lately, maybe once or twice a month. Same with Stila Shimmer Highlight, it’s so golden I wear it for summer more.

The Tarte cheek stain I used to wear constantly when I only wore only face powder and not BB Cream so often.

Nars and Anna Sui blush I switch out a lot but haven’t used them much this month.

I think blush is easily my favorite thing to buy~ :deco2: For a long long time I was too scared to wear blush because growing up I thought only harlots wore it and it looked “too fake” for a girl “like me.” At least that’s the lesson I got from my Mom concerning makeup “how to’s.” But a few years ago I abandoned the blush fear and embraced overtly pink’end and orange’d cheeks! ^_^ :deco5: NEVER LOOKING BACK! Now if I have to rush makeup I at least wear tinted powder AND blush if I can’t wear anything else!

Eyeshadow Primer, Eyebrow, Mascara
Use a shadow primer, eyebrow pencil + powder, and mascara daily. I just switch up which ones for different looks~~

The tiny UD eyeshadow primers were a collection gift at xmas each with different colors/effects. :deco9: I never wear shadow/liner without applying a primer first or else it’ll crease/smudge.

All waterproof mascara since it’s the only type I can use. I have 2 of the Maybelline Falsies mascara in different black shades. I love these mascara a lot for drama. L’Oreal Double Extend fiber mascara is fantastic for all day wear and length plus it’s the only mascara I can wear on my lower lashes with smudging or transfer turning me into a raccoon! The other is Fairy Drops Curling mascara~ best curling mascara I’ve EVER tried.
Oh that eye-rever upper is for dark circles, it’s like a shimmer vitamin cream but I don’t feel like it really works very well :drops:

Eyeliners!
OK I has so manyyyyyyy
The first is Blinc’s super lasting eyeliner. It goes on really thick and stays all day. I haven’t used it much lately because I like thin liner more right now.

Next two are pencil liners, Anna Sui black & Dolly Wink brown. Both I use when I’m in a hurry. Been using the brown one a lot lately!

Next 3 are black liquid liners. My favorite is Wink Up Maxigrade’s because it has a nice, not too thin, tip. The next two KATE and K-Palette REAL LASTING EYELINER I like for filling in gaps or using first as a base under pencil liner or if I want REALLY REALLY thin eyeliner line. The tips are very thin and take a bit longer to apply so I don’t use these if I’m in a hurry.

The rest are either colored liners or glitter liners :deco12:

Eyeshadows!
I like KATE brand best :deco10: Others are Urban Decay, Hard Candy, Victoria’s Secret, etc… The pink KATE palette is unopened right now. I don’t wear as colorful of eyeshadow as I used to, it’s just not appealing to me in recent months aside from metallics. :lol:

Lips!
Lip glosses and lipsticks! OK this changes nearly every day too ^_^ Some Candy Doll, some Mac, some Canmake, some Stila, and a few unopened Melliesh :deco10: Actually half of these are unopened~~

Lash glue~~
Still can’t decide between Lash Grip or DUO. I like both for different reasons but I feel Lash Grip lasts longer on my oily eyes. Haven’t used Dolly Wink’s yet and waiting. My Lash Grip is nearly empty anyway so I’ll be opening it soon.

Shu Uemura Palettes!

I use these the most right now. I bring both to work with me. I use these eyeshadows and cheek colors nearly every day lately :ok: I could honestly just lose the rest of my shadows and cheek colors and wouldn’t panic too much if I still had these. These are AMAZING. :deco3: I’m thinking maybe switching to just buying these in the future as my other makeup runs out… I dunno, it’s very convenient and very high quality. Plus these collection palettes almost always have an assortment. These both have 3 shadows, a gel liner, a cream highlighter, and a cheek color. :deco12:

The hanging one holds most my makeup and I switch it out makeup with the heart pouch which I take to work every day~
The Shu Uemura pouch is only for carrying my Shu Uemura palettes and a glitter liner or something small! Haahaa~~ and of course unopened and replacement makeup goes in the little hanging pockets I posted last week~~ :ok:

Today is the first day I didn’t take cold/sinus medicine. But besides being sick with a sinus infection & away or busy I feel my blog-blog :twinkle: is being neglected a bit. :madmark: I often THINK of updating. But it’s a passing fancy. :down: I don’t have the time or energy most days to even get on my HOME computer.

I’ve been productive offline lately too.:twinklepink: I reorganized my closet again preparing for autumn! It’s already cold & rainy in the 50’s so motivation was easy. :gigglewakuface: Also FINALLY cleaned all my dirty clothes! Seriously, I had stuff still dirty from Tokyo and my Office Overnight too! Then add on the beach weekend laundry. It’s easy for 1 day of laundry to take weeks because there’s not just MY clothes but Mike’s plus dirty towels and I wash sheets weekly too! But now I’m down to just my jeans needing cleaned & I’ll be done. And speaking of Mike just cut in line and threw his stuff into the washing machine! Grrrrrr! :stressedmind: I just had 2 more loads left to do! *sigh*

Ok, but I have a point! :kissyfaceheart: With organizing my closet I also bought a new makeup bag! The bag to end all bags! It’s a fold out traveling & hanging bag from Sephora. :rose1: I even put a hook up for it! It fits everything in 1 place. In 1 damn bag! :iiface: I did have 5 separate bags before. Total nightmare especially when it came to travel. Now I have this larger bag & my much smaller “Daily Make” bag :berry: that I take with me to the office every day and that’s it! Daily bag only contains essentials and creates mostly “office looks” while the large bag at home has the colorful palettes, blushes, and fake lash tools.

I love when my shit’s organized :driftingheart: I could ramble on about it forever~~~ :biglove:

Yeah, I bought the gold bag to match the gold paint on my closet wall of course!
Another great thing about this bag is that the large middle pouch (and the mirror) are attached with velcro so you can easily remove them to take them somewhere :D

Reorganized everything even my vanity top, drawers, and shelves. Serioiusly I can actually find crap again!

Figured I’d post my Tokyo haul for makeup too! :headheart: Just quick snaps. I still haven’t opened much except 1 blush and 2 glosses. These feel so precious to me it’s hard to break the seals! Plus I’ve got PLENTY of other tubes/compacts I should finish off FIRST! :bow:

Trying to decide whether or not to go to the mountains this weekend. :pissy: The rain is supposed to stop by the weekend leaving gorgeous sunny weather! :celebrate: However, the leaves or only about 40% changed (to those lovely autumn colors.) But with all the rain lately do I really want to risk it by waiting 1 more week just to see full fall colors? :mkpoo: Could be freezing & rainy next weekend gaaah! :F Of course I can’t go the next weekend because I’ll be at Jon Stewart’s Rally to Restore Sanity :P

Glad I went Tuesday to buy it and didn’t wait until today. It was storming so badly earlier…

I picked up 2 anklets last weekend~ ;) They were 2 for the price of one. :ruru: Suddenly I became obsessed with finding anklets! Sometimes in summer I just want to wear flip flops, especially for long walks. :facepalmcry: But flip flops can be so boring and I thought a cute anklet would sorta “dress it up” a bit, hahahaaa! The one on the right really sparkles in the sun! :star:

The Work Bag
This makeup bag I bring to work with me. It has the most basic and necessary items! Mostly for fresh, not overdone looks.

• concealers
• highlighter powder
• face powder
• Eyeshadow primer
• black eyeliner pencil
• eyebrow pencil
• mascaras (Maybelline’s Double Extend fiber & Faily Drops curling type)
• basic tools like brushes, eyelash curler, compact mirror
• 2 lipsticks (MAC)
• 2 blushes (1 orange, 1 bright pink)

I admit I have 2 cases of eyeshadow at work in my desk. :wakuwakuheart: They’re basic shades in brown, light pink, and a few blues. This keeps me from having to bring a bigger bag in. :fleetheart: And yes, I do take 5 minutes to apply my makeup after I get into work. It stays fresh and gets less greasy throughout the day that way (the train ride is sorta rough on my morning make I guess, LOL, because I’m always rushing!!) :deadtired:

I periodically switch out what’s in this main bag. :good: Sometimes I just get really obsessed with a shadow color or something so I turn it into my daily look.

The Glitter Bag
This bag is mostly for any glitter/sparkle makeup and small extras like Sephora freebies.

• 5 glitter eyeliner
• KATE sparkly shadows
• Basic Cover Girl light purple shadow
• Physician’s Formula dry/wet tri-color brown shadow
• Sephora white eyeshadow
• 1 gold, 1 purple and 1 pink pencil eyeliners
• Stila all over shimmer liquid
• multiple mascaras by Tarte, Benefit, Maybelline
• liquid black eyeliner
• Victoria’s Secret pink lipstick & gold lip gloss
• Clear sparkle lip gloss

I sometimes bring this bag into work with me too if I feel like having more fun with my work make for the day! :lovelymake: I used to try and not wear glitter to work because I’d get mixed comments, :;_;: but I’m over it now so I often bring this in~ :upheart:

The FULL ON bag
This bag has everything I need when I go full 100% make. :cutesy: It contains my lash glue (and all the crappy ones that come with the lashes that I never use, LOL) and other things like gel liner and color palettes! :twinklepink:

The Past Collections Bag
This is the largest makeup bag. I don’t go into it very often. :rejected: I tend to put makeup I’ve stopped using (usually because I find something I like better) or makeup that gets messy :madmark: in this bag. I have some loose glitter dust items in here because they’ll spill too easily in bags I move around a lot. :stressedmind: This tends to be where things “go to die” too. :eep: I’ll go through it once a month or so and toss out any makeup that’s past its prime. :ng: Right now this make is all still good, just not used very often… :F

• compact mirrors
• lots of blushes that aren’t “pink” enough for my tastes now
• a few shimmer dust items I keep here because they mess up my cloth bags
• a few bronzers
• some lip glosses for sure!
• Some neutral eyeshadows

There are a few things I don’t keep in bags like my lashes and BB Cream and so on~~ :rose2: I keep them in my medicine cabinet and on my vanity in my closet :doubleheartbeat:

Surprised at all the makeup? Or were you expecting more? I’m surprised but then again sometimes I feel I don’t HAVE ENOUGH! gaaahahahaa :crap: consumerism is such a hard disease to shake huh! :ng:
