I need to purge my eyeshadows because some of the palettes are repetitive and I really love the SUQQU one Karen sent me for my birthday. I think it can replace my two KATE shadows. So I’ll set them aside and see if I go for them anytime soon. Also the Dolly Wink rainbow crystal cream shadow I rarely wear. However the gold version I wear constantly.

I might purge a few blushes too like the Lavshuca because the color is reptitive in my collection.

Most of the opened mascaras are nearly finished. I’ll be opening the Trish McEvoy one very soon. Same with the eyeliners. The 3 middle liquid liners are nearly out.

The Paul and Joe pressed powder is hitting a lot of pan. It’s why I bought the Hourglass powder to replace it. I’ve been using the Hourglass for a week and so far no break outs! Same with the YSL concealer pen. I tried a free sample and liked it so much that it’s my new “go to” concealer. I got it last week with the Hourglass powder and so far no break outs from it either.

Also I thought I had taken a photo of the Burt’s Bees and a few lip balms I use but I couldn’t find it. I like some of their lip tints.

I’m liking the benetint and watts up. Sometimes Benefit face creams (like That Gal) break me out but so far no break outs from these two items. I used the Girl Meets Pearl a few times but not consistently enough to say whether or not it will break me out.

I swear by Majolica Majorca rouges, even when I wear nothing else or just lipstick with it. They’re perfect. :) I’m always so excited to see your make-up collection, as mine is slowly dwindling down to bare essentials. (I’m going through a stage of aiming for a more ~natural~ look, as the weather heats up and I get ready to head to California.)

Yeah summer really makes the idea of wearing layers of makeup dreadful. I’ve already started skipping my bb cream some days this spring.

Thanks so much for posting this!! I love your makeup posts and seeing your collection evolve :)

  3. mishi says:

I love how neatly they’re all spread out. I’m envious! What do you think of the Integrate palettes? I have one but I regret not getting a more neutral one.. =/

    • jenny says:

They’re good especially for their position in the market. Highly pigmented but blend nicely with not much fall out. I’m happy with my BE one :)

I like seeing your makeup collection and how it changes. Seeing makeup items all laid out and organised is great eye candy for me hehe :P

  5. Maho says:

Wow, that’s a really huge make-up collection! I’m not very into cosmetics but I guess this will change soon. Maybe it’s because of my great ignorance of how to apply this on my face haha.

  6. Sami says:

All the “Puff de cheek” look amazing!

Hey, I was just wondering, does the Ettusais BB Mineral Cream make you break out and is it drying? I’m still in the process of finding a good BB cream. I currently use the Hot Pink and Gold Label 79 BB cream, and they’re both only ok. I have combo skin (oily t-zone, dry cheeks) & acne prone :(
Also do you use a moisturizer on top of your primer? If so, which one if your favorite? Thanks ^^

I love all your eye shadow palettes :D

  9. Cissy says:

Im jealous of your collection. Those Paul and Joe products (ノ∀≦*)ノ゙

I’m loving Benefit’s Watt Up right now. It’s my first highlighter and its subtle and forgiving. I have Girl Meets Pearl but its not as forgiving so I’m a bit scared of using it haha.

You have such a huge collection of makeup! For me I just stick to the basics of a few key items and is too lazy or don’t have money to get anymore than I need. lol.

This is just a little suggestion but it’d really help if you could add numbers to the products in the pics and on the list so that your readers can know what exactly is shown in the pic and matching it to the list. Sometimes I think I know what I see is what it is called but I’m not really 100% certain. It just helps when I want to look up these products online! =)

Can I have your make up collection? *drools*

    I love your makeup collection updates! Makes me want to be less of a hoarder. Well…I don’t have that much makeup at the moment, but hopefully I can keep the size of my collection under control as well. – -;

I want your Puff De Cheek collection! Love how specific and basic your collection is :)

I’ve been wondering about the YSL concealer. A friend recommended it to me, too! I’m using a Laura Mercier one but it stays sticky the entire time you’re wearing it. The coverage is great but it doesn’t ever “set” — does the YSL do that?

I’m laughing at people saying this is a lot of makeup because I am thinking that it is not. I really need to purge my stash. I’ve got a ton of stuff I never wear. (:

    • jenny says:

I love to see who thinks my collection is “big” and others who say “smaller than expected!” Personally I think my collection is pretty narrow focused but then again I look at others’ collections online too much :P

I just recently switched to the YSL. I had used Clinique’s airbrush concealer for a while. I prefer liquid concealer pens for my heavy undereye circles and also so, so, so many other concealers break me out (I tried laura mercier but broke out actually.)

Anyway to answer your question “No, YSL does not do that (as in yes it sets.)” The YSL pen goes on smooth with medium but buildable to full coverage and dries clean and crease-free. It does no crease or crack throughout the day either and their color range is impressive. I just really love it to be honest. It’s amazing under a setting powder or on its own.

Your collection is so pretty and wonderfully comprehensive! I’ve gotten into the habit of depotting my makeup, but your post is causing me to rethink that. An item’s packaging should be enjoyed as well as it’s contents. Would you consider doing an updated collection post in 2014?
