An email to my friend Gavin this morning:…

Hey!
Well, I woke up today to my apartment flooding. Yup. Water is streaming down the walls and water drips from the electrical outlets. There’s practically a waterfall outside on my patio, streaming from 4 stories up. A pipe busted on the 4th floor. Now 4 people are having a hellish day. To make matters worse, management was shrugging off everyone’s calls about the emergency. That is… till I got on the phone. I went OFF! I was like, “why isn’t anyone here to turn off the water” and blah blah blah …..
2 minutes later maintenance was at the door saying “Oh My God!”
Now the water has stopped. The second bedroom and bath are soaked. So is half the living room and our walkway. The carpet people were just here saying we’d be done last b/c we got the least bit of damage. The apartment on the 3rd floor is RUINED. Completely. The person is obviously at work too. They will come home to find their possessions destroyed by water. sigh….
What an awful morning…..
The end.

Ahh! Flooding! My teacher’s classroom flooded from the unusual amount of rain last year, andthe ceiling actually collapsed on a student, pouring dirty water all over her. It was rather sad. But he even joked about it and put a sign “Room 10: Now with running water” on the outside door (since his room doens’t have a sink). Anyways, glad the water has stopped… but let’s hope your apartment doesn’t smell dingy ~__~
Geez that sucks! I hope you aren’t going to have a long battle with damages and such. Er….maybe I shouldn’t have mentioned that. JK! Haha. Nice story Reiko.
That’s absolutely horrible! Flooding can cause such carpet rot and damage. Reminds me of when the water pipe blew off back home and I woke up to the sound of rushing water. And to make matters worse the leaking caused the pipes to freeze under the house, meaning my Dad had to go out in -40 weather and dry it all up. Water leaks suck.
hope everything gets dried and fixed up as soon as possible. living with soggy furniture is terribly uncomfortable. ==”
wahh that’s so horrible! X__X I’d be so pissed off if that happened to me! lol >___< hope all the damages are taken care of!
