paddle boats aren’t THAT lame!!
Sunday April 01, 2007

We got to take a lovely early morning paddle boat ride today and view the cherry blossoms! I’m SO happy we went early this morning. We had a huge full day sans most of the crowds! There wasn’t even a line!! But when we left… OMG the line was INSANE! We enjoyed the blossoms, then the kite festival, then the art museum, then a delicious restaurant & some light shopping. Then came home & I passed out for 3 hours. It’s late so no more text, just photos…

It’s absolutely lovely there at this time of the year! I know, because I went down to the lincoln memorial area and wherever the pointy tower was (I forgot what it was called–some sort of memorial) during the spring when I was quite little with my parents. I remember the area was windy, but gorgeous, and I got water in my shoes/socks because it was high tide.

Wow…I just realized you were Caucasian. I always thought you were Japanese. In your last entry, that photo LOOKED Asian…this is like a revelation for me.

There are blossoms on H street here, at the end of my neighborhood and they bloomed early. :3 They were so pretty. There was so much white. It looked almost like snow but you could tell it was really flowers.
Paddle Boats are so fun. xD Well I mean they look fun, you can rent them at the harbor here but I’m so skittish about getting on boats and stuff so I’d probably never rent one. x_O

I am glad you got to go, though! Looks like a lot of fun! I did find out there is a festival south of ATL, so I’m gonna visit that next year ^_^
