Motivation in a Way

It was Fat Tuesday yesterday!

I miss it SO much~~ I grew up in a place that not only was it celebrated but we got more days off for Mardi Gras than Easter~ MISS IT!!!! But that also means today is Ash Wednesday and given my Catholic upbringing I’ve decided to partake in Lent this year! Sure I skipped it in recent years but after having to forcible take part in Lent for the first 18 years of my life, I had reasons for wanting to skip the “joyous” season. So for Lent I’m drastically curbing my spending. Seriously! No more taking a look at sales racks just for the hell of it, just to blow random money~~ My closet is full anyway! I’m also using Lent to get back in the habit of not eating after dinner (*cough* gained a few pounds from falling off the bandwagon! *cough*)

So let me say I bought these things yesterday! Hahahah

on sale for 99 cents!

cheap tank

This tank reminded me of the D&G maillot マリエ and Rinka both wore Well, a little at least

Though it’s kinda funny how identical マリエ’s cover outfit is to the runway outfit~

Does anyone have Halcali’s “Strawberry Chips” (ストロベリーチップス) ?? I can’t find it anywhere and I wish iTunes would just let me purchase shit from iTunes Japan but noooooooo. It’s from their Ongaku no Susume album (I’ll totally take the whole album if someone has it, hahaha)

Thanks guys! Got it!

Nice lashes~ When I grew up I didn’t even know what Mardi Gras was, haha. Nobody I know celebrates it at all or even acknowledges it. :/ Sounds fun, though.

No such thing as Mardis Gras where I live either. But I wish there was if it meant more days off.
Oh, you can try asking the people at this forum for Halcali.

http://www.getasianmusic.com/forum/index.php

If you request, you might have a chance of someone posting it up for you.
and yes, don’t comment much but your blog is quite amusing to read when I’m tired of doing my homework. Hello anyways.

Fat Tuesday is Shrove Tuesday over here, aka, Pancake day! When the youngest school children get to make pancakes instead of normal lessons, brilliant.
Do you think looking at sales racks for the hell of it has been influenced by poupee in any way? In my case, YES! If I have a couple pounds left I’ll spend them!
(and the fact that it’s almost march and there are STILL sales going on doesn’t help!)

$0.99 eyelashes!! (・∀・)イイ!!

ah you could always just search the title & ‘mediafire’ in google and you’ll usually find something. ;D I always liked that song

OMG I’ve lived in the states for like almost 8 years and I have no idea what lent is ._. lol it feels like this is the first time I’ve heard of it all of a sudden.

I’m Catholic too, but I’ve never done Lent *fail* I don’t have enough willpower anyway, lol! Good luck though~!

That tank really does resemble the D&G malliot, lol~ Where did you get it?

jenny said
February 26, 2009 @ 9:53 am

Charlotte Russe for $19 ;D It’s got these bottom clasps on it that make the tank form a more rounded bottom (not sure of the actual term for this!)

Love the lashes! In terms of the music, you should try going on Livejournal and looking up communities where they swap Japanese music. I joined a bunch where they put up for download Korean music that I can’t purchase anywhere.

Hehe giving up spending is probably a really good thing to do for lent. I didn’t think of that. Good luck with that

Cute new top — I’ve seen it in a couple of magazines now

I stumbled upon the saddest king cake ever this year! It was basically just a bunt cake *fail*
I found these lashes at Charlotte Russe. 1 set has sparkles on it and the other set are nice sweepy lashes~

That tank is too cute. I wish I had one! I have a really cute fake gold anchor necklace but my friend refuses to give it back to me. :’(

Hehe, I didn’t even realize it was Mardi Gras until I saw someone wearing some beads.

Marine style is so cute! But I can’t wear it because horizontal stripes give a wider look and I am wide enough -_-;

Love Halcali! I get most of my Japanese music off Limewire or buy albums from Yes Asia.

Yeah I think Mardi Gras is a more southern thing. We don’t really have any celebrations around here LOL

Cute shirt! ;D
