Visualizing Shopping

Boy I feel like craaaaaaaaap~~ :crap:

Came home today and passed out for 3 hours. Woke up at 8pm to eat dinner. :deadtired: Felt weird eating so late to be honest :;_;: :toto: I wasn’t even really hungry anymore. :facepalmcry: But Mike did bring home fresh strawberries straight from the farm! I had a bunch for dessert~ :fleetheart: extremely delicious all on their own! :biglove:

So I tweeted that we’ve purchased tickets & reserved hotels for a wedding anniversary trip back to Tokyo! I can’t believe there are FINALLY direct flights from DC to Tokyo. THANK YOU GOD! They’re a little more $ but extremely worth it. We lost sooooooooooo much time in our Houston layover last time (grumble.) DONOTWANT  Now our travel time will be cut down to only 14 hourshaahaa! Japan’s worth it though~. :bigheart:

The #1 store I’m looking forward to visiting on my trip is W♥C. I did some “mock shopping” tonight on the web store. First I just added up every random thing I wanted! :;_;: But it came out to nearly half the spending money I’ve budgeted for myself and I realized everything was sorta random. So then I decided to be more organized about it. :good: I’ll instead make sure to buy an entire OUTFIT. So I put together a few ideas and I was a lot happier with my choices this way! :fleetheart: So I just need to keep in that mindset when I’m there. :updiamond: I plan on buying a lot of clothes so I’ll be packing… like, TWO OUTFITS at the most and then buy the rest while there GAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAH! Well, ya know, something along those lines :P phwahahaha

I only had time to do a few looks, I wanna do more :okicon::good: I realized I could just buy these looks now… which took me over for a good 20 minutes of pure OMFG I BETTER BUY THESE ONLINE NOW anxiety. :ashock: But I talked myself down. :laughingheart: These are just to help me better shop when there. Besides it’s a few months away so they might have something extremely more awesome by then :ohwhoa: Besides I’d feel better trying things on. I ordered the “M” size of my Scientist shirt it it’s really rather big on me. If I had tried it on in stores I would have known to get the small. :eep:

My only slight disappointment though is I wish I were visiting the Osaka W♥C store… I LOVE THOSE GIRLS! I like their style a bit more than what I’ve seen from the Tokyo staff girls, but~ c’est la vie~ :ureshii:

I gotta go shopping tomorrow. My hair dryer broke on me this morning. I’m so irked because I’ve only had it for maybe 3 years? :facepalmcry: That might sound like a long time but I had bought it to replace my old one that I had for 10 years! I only replaced it because my old one was, well, OLD! But it hadn’t actually stopped working or anything! Ugggggh, :madmark: I get what I deserve for that I guess, haahaa~ :rejected:

Mike needs a new phone too. He’s dropped his blackberry one too many billion times and now it constantly loses its SIM card connection…

Then today I realized my new earbud headphones might be going out too…. :?:

Why does everything break at one time!? :pissy:

siiiiiiiigh~ :dizzy:

Anywho~~~ I’ll try to respond to comments/questions from my last entry tonight or tomorrow night :kanjicry: Been feeling ick & hadn’t had time to respond but I do read them :headheart:

Full outfit shopping ftw! I love the coordinates! AND THE SHOES. THE SHOES.

Yes.. it’s so annoying when everything just starts breaking down at the same time. I had to replace my phone TWICE because I kept carelessly dropping it .. and then my mirror .. and a heel of my boots .. ugh.

I love your bangs now :D

    • jenny says:

I KNOW THE SHOES!!!!! I’m seriously trying to just buy 1 pair b/c they’re so $$$ but… SO HARD TO DECIDE! I bought 2 pairs of boots on my last trip… I always buy SHOES on vacation! God why!? They take up like 1/2 the luggage!

  2. Mimi says:

So jealous of your trip to Japan! I’m in Houston, so I’m glad we have a direct flight as well. I’m hoping to go later this year, but I have no idea how to plan or where to stay. I do have an idea of what shops I want to go to! Any recommendations for hotels or places to visit?

Love love love those red WC shoes!

It’s whenever I don’t want something to break, it dies on me. I’ve had this hairdryer for about 5 or 6 yrs…and I’m just waiting for it to break so I can have an excuse to get a fancy one.

    • jenny says:

Well best bet is to just google.com/.jp your little heart out for places that you might fancy! But for hotels I highly recommend the Keio Plaza in Shinjuku. Also look into taking a day trip out of the city. I did that last time & went to Mt. Fuji area for a few days. Twas perfection!

  3. sidney says:

want all those outfits soooooo badly T T
    dear W♥C,
normally, i don’t care about brand. anything that looks similar to a brand item is good enough for me. so WHY do i want ONLY legit W♥C items??? cry…

okay sorry, haha. acutally, i’m really happy for you that you get to go back~~ and it’s only a couple months away!

you should become the foreign rep for W♥C hehe

    • jenny says:

Ditto, I only want legit WC stuff too! Something about the brand itself just appeals to me~~ So I gladly will give them all my monies hahahahaa!

  4. Melissy says:

LOVE the torn jeans and all the shoes!! :D
Ahh, so jealous. I wanna go to Japan too! Haha. :)

  5. Vermillion says:

Those outfits are so cute! I love the first and third one.

Good luck for shopping for the electronics you need to replace. I know how hard it is to shop for earphones. Once I had to buy 4 pairs in one year..so annoying and expensive lol =_=

    • jenny says:

Ugh yea. I really want to avoid buying so many in one year! I just bought these like 2~3 months ago to replace a pair I got last year. :(

  6. Nana says:

I like all three outfits but I like the first one the most!!!

I am sorry about the hairdryer and your phone. I use to drop my phone very often too!! I got little better now. haha

    • jenny says:

      The first is my fav too! Yea, I don’t think he’ll get better about not dropping his phone though b/c he keeps them in the top shirt pocket =_=;;

  7. Jing says:

I’m so excited for you to be going back to Japan :D Can’t wait to see all your fabulous purchases and photos :) It’s interesting how the last time you went back to Japan, you really wanted to visit the Cher store and this time around it’s W♥C. I think it’s really smart of you to be buying a set of outfit rather than a bunch of random things.

    • Jing says:

I forgot to ask. Does what the W♥C store staff wear reflect the type/style of clothing that they sell at the store? Just wondering since you said you wished to visit the Osaka store. I would think that all the stores sold pretty much the same stuff.

      • jenny says:

Oh yea, they SELL the exact same stuff! Just the Osaka staff’s style is more flashy & colorful compared to how the Tokyo WC staffers are coordinating the clothes. I was wanting to ask a staffer for coordinate help but since I follow the Osaka staffer blogs more I prefer their use of layering and whatnot. The Tokyo staffers seem to play it more safe & monotone IMO. So I worry I wouldn’t like what they chose for me very much =Y

        • Jing says:

Ohhh, I see. Yea, that totally makes sense LOL. I guess I misinterpreted what you were trying to say XD It’s cool that the store staffers wear what they sell. You don’t see that very often in the U.S. It’s a really smart marketing scheme if you think about it.

    • jenny says:

Thank god b/c WC is cheaper even with their high prices compared to Cher LOL

  8. Cindy W says:

So cool that you’re going back to Tokyo/Japan for the anniversary! Congrats to the news of that + we cant wait to see what you find there!

  9. Nana says:

I lovinnggg all the W♥C shoes you’ve picked out!
    I’m really jealous *__*

  10. Amanda says:

So jealous! haha You picked out some really cute outfits. I really like the shorts in the first one.

Everything does really break or get lost all at once. I mean, when it rains it pours :P ^^

  11. Hachi says:

You have so much.. what’s the word, “Patience?” “Clout?”, I don’t know but mock shopping is something I can never do. Because it becomes a fantasy thing and then the sentence “Well, in that case I’d like to get every.thing.” is uttered (aloud hehe).

To help the anxiety even more keep telling yourself that the stores don’t sell out like the website, there’s more than one store AND when you come to Tokyo they’ll be even better things released too!

  12. Veronica says:

Cool! I did the same thing for my NY trip! It will be so fun for you to just buy your clothes there, wear them home ;)
The lace up caramel heels are so cool, I was looking at the black ones!!

Haha Shopping isn’t necessary right now, but I reaalllly want to go to Zara for their floral tube tops, Ill have to pretend it’s important LOL

    • jenny says:

Yes! Well I at least hope I can wear new clothes home b/c I’m thinking of going there with next to NO clothes and buying wardrobes to wear as I go… thank god I didn’t do this last time or I would have been SCREWED since I didn’t fit into much X( …

  13. Sara Mari says:

It definitely way more fun to shop in the physical W*C store rather than the online shop! Go on a weekend day for sure, and get crushed by the teenage hordes haha^^

The W*C shirts are generally supposed to be quite large and roomy, the models and girls on the streets are always swimming in them. It’s cute! But sadly I can’t experience that over-sized look with any Japanese brand haha XD

I think the 3rd outfit is the really sort of iconic look for W*C, I like it very much. I personally wouldn’t spend 80$ on the distressed denim shorts, since you can find similar items anywhere. But then again my money went SO quickly. I planned to buy so much clothing too, but then I really couldn’t after my food and train budget. TT haha

    • jenny says:

Let’s see we land at 3pm so I might be able to hustle there THAT weeknight of arriving! GAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA!!

I know, $80 is so crazy when I rationalize it. But I really just want the real deal. It’s OK. I’ve been saving tax returns & work bonuses for this trip :Dv On my last trip there I actually came in UNDER my spending budget so I know I’ll be able to keep self-control XD

  14. Shoujobot says:

    Hey Jenny!

I know I’m new to the comments, but I’ve been scoping out your blog for awhile because I love the fashion :-) Kinda had the same good fortune as you that my dude and I are heading to Tokyo in September as a pre-anniversary too :-) We’re staying in Shibuya, and plan on doing a lot of shopping/sightseeing/nightlife.

It’s our first time, but I wanna make sure we hit some pretty good shopping areas, and check out some good food and clubscenes. I’m definitely making a trip into Akihabara (we’re both tech nuts), but since you’ve visited before, maybe you can help me out with going to some nifty shops or little dining areas. Which places would you definitely suggest?

    • jenny says:

Well there’s definitely something for EVERYBODY. So I’m not sure how useful my suggestions would be b/c maybe there’s something you’d like even more personally that I wouldn’t know. Definitely hit up google.com/.jp

I’ll go ahead and recommend a stop at Kiddyland if you’re into cute goods and also a Donki store for wacky and fun items. Also the 100 yen shops are fun! There’s a nice Daiso in Harajuku. And for food I loved the chain Nabezo which serves sukiyaki & shabu shabu~ My posts labeled “Japan Trip” have a better list of where I went~~

      http://sushi-cat.net/index.php?tag=japan+trip

Also I highly recommend getting away from the city & out into the countryside for a day trip or 2. It’s extremely relaxing :)

  15. ayu says:

Jennyyy~ I’m so excited for you! And also for myself, I’m going to Japan this summer also! Do you mind revealing when are you traveling? ^o^

  16. Genevieve says:

Fancy pants with your expensive outfits! =O Actually, if I were planning a trip to Japan, I’d budget a lot of $$$ for clothes shopping, too ;)
Again, SO JELIZ of your trip! D: I’ll get there one day! ^_^

Ugh, I feel like crap too. Being a woman is GREAT, huh? ;)

I want a new hair dryer. I’ve had the same one since I was like 18 & I feel like it’s almost 10lbs! Sure gives my arms a workout, though! XD

  17. Tori says:

    Hope you’re feeling better today & had luck snagging a new hair dryer! I would be lost without mine ;o;
Your shopping plan sounds great though & I am in love with that second outfit! Those ultra-distressed jeans have been on my w❤c lust list for a while~
Congrats on beating the temptation, haha!

    • jenny says:

Yea I got a new one, spent less on it too, hahahahaha! I miss my old one *sigh* but alas it’s JUST a hair dryer I suppose.

I will DIE if they no longer carry the distressed jeans when I get there, haahaa omg, biggest fear!

  18. Lexxii says:

Ahh damn you Murphy’s Law! Why does it never fail to work? O.o Oh well…

I’m soo excited for you! Woohoo! I definitely want to go back one day. Be sure and take lots of pictures again. Some of the best posts you have I think are from your Japan travels ;D I also love the outfits you put together. I think the first one is my favourite! :)

  19. Anonymous says:

I tried on the belt (or something similar) at w❤c but I couldn’t bear to part with the cash. I don’t like spending too much money on belts even though they are awesome accessories. Unforch, even though I went during new years sale season, nothing much was on sale at w❤c…. =( I did try a pair of overalls, but they were way too big. Have fun in Tokyo though! Some of my fondest memories are from there! sighhh

    • Elle says:

      Oops! That was me.

    • jenny says:

Yea I’m surprised it’s so much. It’s as if they just charge a blanket rate of $50 for all their stuff D:

Yea WC has those ultra loose casual overalls! I have a similar pair by Buzz Spunky~~ comfy at least :P

  20. Shirley says:

I’m so jealous; I can’t wait until the day I get to go to Japan!! Already looking forward to reading all about your adventures :)
I really like the w❤c backpack, do you know where I could get it?

You’re so organized by the way, haha~

  21. Anonymous says:

So cool you are going to Japan again!! When are you there? I assume in summer, right?? I will be there starting november, for a whole year, so if you come in Winter or somewhere next year, I’d be happy to meet you in Tokyo!!

  22. kawaii-girl says:

Shopping… I love shopping and you’ve got pretty choices there, especially the shoes, I love it! ^^*

  23. Bianca says:

Thats the smartest way to go about it! Otherwise you’ll get shoppers overload and by too much. But I’m sure you’re mind might change when the Fall/Winter line premieres. I’m excited! I wouldnt even worry about spending all your dough at w/c if thats what you love, why the heck not!?

  24. Ys says:

Yay for you getting your flights booked :d That’s so exciting. It must be so great to know you’re going back there, esp cos you love it so much and it now holds those extra special memories for you :)

Wah, everything ALWAYS breaks in threes so keep an eye out for the third thing to break. It went oven, TV and XBOX with us which made for a very expensive start to the year :/

  25. Yay…a trip to Japan! Lucky you =D That backpack is cute! *^_^* Hope you feel better soon, and have fun bikini shopping yo!

  26. Anonymous says:

    When are you going?
I’m currently in Japan and it’s amazing~! I love shopping in Tokyo so so so much more than NYC or DC in the states.

I have not been to a WC store though. Where is the Tokyo one?
Have you ever been to Shibuya 109? I love that place, but I’m a little too big in the hips for 90% of the stuff there haha.

    • Stacy says:

      sorry, that was me~
I’ve only commented a few times before so you probably don’t remember me but I figured I’d use my info again anyway. haha

and I just saw you’re going in September! I’m leaving in August so I’ll be reading your blog and bawling my eyes out because I’ll miss Japan so much haha

      • jenny says:

Haahaa I know what you mean, I’ve been mourning for 2 years over Japan XD

Yup, been to 109 on my last trip. I didn’t fit so great then either so here’s hoping for a better experience now that I’ve dropped 25 lbs XDvv

  27. Lisa says:

Love, love, love the first outfit. Are those bananas on that tank? If so, that’s awesome! :D

  28. Linda says:

    ahhh such kawaii clothes! :3

  29. Madi says:

I love your site! Do you have any suggestions for someone who might be looking to create a website of their own?

    • jenny says:

Do what you love~! As in don’t just do it to do it but I think it’s best to have it focus on something you love or feel a passion for. :)

      Also, learning HTML/CSS helps XDDDDv

  30. Trina says:

I never bought anything online before, but it just because I enjoy going to clothing stores. haha
And I love the backpack! It’s very adorable–no wonder you want to buy it! ;]

  31. cin says:

yayyy i got internet for a night :D
hows things with you? wooo how exciting!! and only a few mths away!! :DDD
i wanna meet you in japan if i can~~~

  32. Cindy says:

    You sound like me, I want to buy half a store,but full cordinants are better. Focus focus, though its SO hard! ^^;

Its awesome you have confirmed the trip now, I’m sure you feel loads better for it. plus you can plan out your shopping strategy! Go go! :-)

  33. Generalize says:
