Basically it’s just the cover spread with a bunch of Q&A then no more Rinka but instead a section called…

As much as I love the hair and make I don’t think the eyes are right for “Rinka’s Style.” Too heavy on the bottom for Rinka’s usual looks. :?: Really, it just looks more like Kana’s typical eyemake style but whatever~ laaaaa :puup:
BUT Seriously, NOT ENOUGH RINKA! To be honest most of Rinka’s magazine appearances are like this these days. :( It’s like she’s too busy to really do a ton of full spreads/features for various magazines. :;_;: Have you SEEN her blog!? She’s got a crap ton of magazine covers every month! :skull: I did like the “Wanna be a Rinka” section though. They did a pretty good job on recreating Rinka’s typical fashion styles seen on her blog :iiface:
This issue of PopSister seems sorta thin. Hummmm, :;_;: it reminds me a little of the first issue that came out? It’s not very STRONG but I digress. I’m gonna post some totally biased looks from it now :cfaha2:
トラッドスタイル (Trad Style) and おじ可愛MIX (Cute Uncle Mix style, lol, I’m not sure, this buzz word is new to me!) When I researched it I found cute aunt and cute uncle style, LOL SEEMS TO MATCH THE LOOK!ね～～ I just like the boots because they look like mine ;)
THIS LOOK! I just Looooove the fact that this look has MURUA jeans mixed with a check poncho from BACKS paired with moccasins from RODEO CROWNS! And the knit scarf is from WEGO! Brand win, BRAND MIX WINNNNNNNN!
Nordic style then Military style :P
Mmmmmmm I scanned in some hair arranges and street snaps too but I’m getting kinda sleepy so I’ll post those later this week!!! :) :facecry: I’m going to go take a hot bath now. :facepalmcry::starburst: I’m feeling really heavy because I’ve eaten countless candy bars today from our Halloween stash AND had pizza for dinner. I did a little “Just Dance” but it kicked my ass pretty quickly so I couldn’t last very long =_=;;; :orooro:

This photoshoot made me lol uncontrollably.
All I have to say is… um, no. Just no. Maybe they mentioned she was preggers in the article about her wedding back in October but I didn’t really bother translating it. I only read the comments the other models made about how lovely the wedding was & everything. I get that they are “celebrating” her but this is a bit much for me hahahaaa! I actually didn’t notice at first, I was too busy noticing the half nakedness, LOL, then I was like WAIT, IS THIS A WEIRD ANGLE OR…
LOL, but to be fair it’s nice to see these models have real lives. I always felt Tsubasa’s wife’ness & mother’ness is sorta covered up in some magazines, (cept in gal mama mags obviously) like, not talked about. But PopSister obviously wants to focus on older girls who have busy lives. Husbands n babies, LOL :blushingcute:

I don’t think I’m old enough to pull off such a pretty and sophisticated style (16 ftl) but it’s sooo pretty! I think I know what I want to go when I get in college and etc. C:
But I mostly came here to comment on that last picture.
I like babies! Seeing a pregnant women is cool! It’s like “WHOA THERE IS A LITTLE PERSON INSIDE OF YOU”.
But that last picture. Is just. Uh.NO. Makes me a bit nauseated haha.

hmmm haha Agreed. I mean, she looks so young and she was already pregnant at the wedding so…though I’m not gonna judge, it’s not something we should all wave tiny flags of celebration over imho. =/
Also I think “Cute Uncle Mix” is probably the only way to translate that. ‘ x ‘ It’s adorable and fitting, though! I LOVE the boots, striped ties, vests, hats…I love when girls accentuate and play off of traditionally masculine fashion and make it their own! :)
The other cords are cute too. And I LOVE Nordic style! Possibly that tiny percent of my heritage calling out?! lol I hope to see more of it!

I never really understand why women take half naked pictures while they’re pregnant! I guess it’s like when they say your “boobies” starts to get fuller & bigger when you’re pregnant and they want to look sexy during that ONCE in a lifetime thing, especially if you’re originally a skinny girl with no boobs. But still, I’d think it’s rather embarrassing or ugly to actually show myself in such a state. lol. Rather than to be seen as “sexy”, I see myself as being FAT and ugly. LOL!

wow great scans! I can’t wait to get my issue now! I actually really like the pregnant models these days! It shows that models are actually human too! I also think it’s a sweet way to embrace the new coming life =) It’s like having pictures taken with your kid before they’re even born lol!!!

HAHA Yeah that Tomoko thing is mad weird – mostly because it puts pregnancy in a ’sexy’ light which is EVEN WEIRDER LOL Like I understand when that famous photographer lady did that picture of Demi Moore preggers in the 90s and it was all quiet and serene, but this is different!
I adore those Wonder Rocket boots – so sad they didn’t fit me!! I’m like a giant in Japan!! Great post, liked this issue :D

i’ve really been re-thinking the way i dress recently (ok, being in korea has def. start to influence the way i dress) and i’m now more with you in that popsister is waaaay closer to the way i dress every day. it just feels ‘easier’ and more ‘me’ or something…
hahahah she looks like a pregnant-ghost in some of those snaps!! it’s sort of amusing they chose to have her be so nude in some of them. it’s like she’s trying so hard to look like a badass pregnant lady. haha

I’m a mom myself… but, I find preggers’ magazine photo shoots just creepy! But, “to each his own”. :D Although I can’t say she looks bad at all. :D Last time I saw a nice Rinka spread was in Otona Look!s Fall edition, although is not a regular fashion magazine per se. :P

I always love seeing Rinka in mags! But usually it is only a few pictures, but I get super excited anyway. ;)

It’s mos’ def’ a shock to see in the magazines, but then it’s also pretty cool – in most western mags, mums are always painted as “Yummy Mummies” but not necessarily “Rocker Mums” – this makes this article extreme cool.I mean, check out her shades!

kinda dissapointed RInka wasn’t featured more, now I dont need to go and buy it :P
Do love the rinka immation, but somehow it looks too Popsister’d out and not enough Rinka, when its on Kana’s body, maybe its the make that makes it look more pop and less laid back rinka.
LOVE THE BRANDMIX and cute uncle mix! LOVE THAT FRASE…going to be my new love for sure :D and Aya is looking FIERCE in that leopard nordic mix :D

You got conned into buying this issue! Only 1 page of Rinka!! I usually get to browse the japanese magazines in the book stores before purchasing them. Isn’t that great? HAHA.

That makes me sad about the Rinka feature though! I guess a cover + Q&A is ok but… I love when she does those long full-page spreads like what she does for Sweet ;o; At least she had a nice one in JJ. & I so agree on the ‘Rinka make’ on Kana~ Rinka is definitely a lot fresher & simpler.
They get an A for effort though, haha! XD -

Rinka’s style is not close to my style at all, but its very cute and I think it would suit many many girls out there. It’s cute but not over done^^/
My favorite coordinate that you so kindly scanned is of the military coordinate (next to the nordic one) it’s so casual but cool at the same time!!
