Free Samples Galore

Wednesday February 16, 2011

Looking at my mini bag full of free samples, many “deluxe” free samples, I realize I need to start using them!
Now is a good time. :deco12:
No holidays coming up so if something breaks me out terribly I won’t feel devastated, :ok::angry: haahaa~ It’s scary using new products because my skin is so sensitive. :deco13: But it’s sometimes a huge payoff, like finding a new product to love! :suki: Like Benefit’s High Beam for example :P

So I’m starting off with
Shu Uemura RED:JUVENUS VITALIZING RETEXTURIZING CREAM.
Murphy’s Law says I will probably love this. Why? BECAUSE IT’S $80 A FUCKIN POT. :ng:
It will probably be amazing.

Like my dark circle under eye treatment from Boscia! I had a sample of that last year and LOVED it. I ended up buying it because it worked miracles but it’s $40 a tube :;_;: which is so steep to me. I ran out months ago… I should just break down & re-buy it because it really works. WHY $40. If it were just $10 less I wouldn’t be so whiny about. Ah, so anyway, this Shu Uemura stuff is $80. :?:
It’s also sold out LULZ~

Used another Metaboo bath salt tonight. I’ll post a bunch of bath salts probably tomorrow~~ XD

i have free samples everywhere like…idek what to do with them wtfffff you’re so brave for using them

    • jenny says:

Hahahah ikr. I really am terrified using these. Sephora is always trying to push the 100 point perk that’s a face-thing onto me and I’m just standing there HISSING at them about it! If I have a choice I NEVER choose face stuff!!

  2. Courtney says:

Yup, yup! I love using samples. :D Although often it’s hard to tell if they make a difference.

    ~YAY BATH SALT POST~

  3. Fatiha says:

hehe ~ I love free samples ~ always new things to try!! the Shu Uemura red:juvenus vitalizing retexturing cream looks like it’ll work wonders ~ and it’s sold out – which could be a pretty good sign ^_^ tell me how all your samples work out jenny ~~

    hwaiting!!!

  4. Tori says:

Damn girly, you do have a lot!! I ended up giving most of the free samples I collected to buyers as ‘bonuses’ when I was selling off a shit-ton of stuff a while back, haha XD Good that you’re putting yours to use!

    • jenny says:

That’s smart! I give a lot to my sister or my friend if it’s a nice set of freebies like Sephora’s birthday freebie because they rarely have the “guy” one so Mike has to get the girl’s and since I already got it earlier that year why keep two xD

  5. ThedaBara says:

Hahaha, I do the same with all of my free-samples!

    I have a bag from Swimmer that is filled to the brim with all kinds of free samples. I also have quite a few”beauty” essentials in the makeup bag I keep in my purse{they’re really more of an overnight stock-just in case!}

Hmm, might have to give that Boscia under eye treatment a try, since I have mad dark circles

Can’t wait to see your bath salt entry tomorrow[I am a bath salt fiend]

  6. Amy says:

I love everrryythinngg about Benefit’s High Beam except for when the product glumps and cakes onto the cap. :C

    • jenny says:

Oh yes, yes, actually I bought the travel version!!! I love the travel version SO MUCH MORE! No clumping/drying and the applicator is sponge and not a brush \:D/ Plus easier & less scary to bring around in my bag.

  7. Oh my… $80 for one little pot? *__*

  8. Michelle says:

As long as it works, I don’t mind paying $80 for a product, esp. if it’s something I can’t live without, lol. I wish I could use cream for my under eye circles, but they’re genetic so might as well accept the horrible truth (laughs). Actually I’ve grown quite fond of them…but anyway, make-up samples are great! I still have my benefit sample pack from this holiday and I’m pretty impressed with their lipstick and mascara so far ^.^ Also, I’m interested in what you think of the Missha BB Cream. It’s the only foundation I’ve been using recently and it definitely helped me with my blemishes and provides a good amount of coverage!

    • jenny says:

I think that’s the question I ask, “can I live without it” because technically I WAS before I was using it so I often talk myself out of overpriced makeup fixes in hopes of finding a cheaper alternative.

Actually I already use Missha BB Cream for about 2 years now. Almost daily lately! I love it~ it’s the only BBCream I’ve liked.

  9. Christa says:

When I get free samples I always end up giving them to my mom. The ones I normally use are just the shampoo ones. Gosh, $80 is a lot. I’ll have to look up that under eye treatment you used, I have horrible dark circles.

  10. hiika says:

omg that totally sums up my huge contradiction problem when it comes to high end luxury samples XO. I’m all giddy over getting to try something amazing for free but at the same time I dread actually falling in love with the problem because I’m too stingy to buy the real full-sized product fml. T___T I remember how once my aunt gave me a few SKII samples and I was totally *0* over the products but yeahhh definitely out of budget for a student!!! -wails- Totally feeling your pain Jenny.

  11. Magda says:

Poop, shops around here (Poland) don’t gice anyway as many great samples as asian ones, it’s a shame…
Recently I started testing Shu Uemura cleansing oils and will be writing a review on them soon. His stuff is really expensive, hahah! But one day, I’ll have SU lash bar at my house!! XD

  12. Amelia says:

Oh I love samples. And yes, most likely you’re going to love this super expensive cream. It’s the way of the universe.

  13. Rubi says:

Oooooh! please tell if this works! i am looking to splurge on stuff that ACTUALLY works instead of wasting money on cheap stuff that does nothing! :D

  14. Carol says:

Free samples are great, I have collection of them.

Mr.. Cactus is so cute ♥.♥

  15. Bianca says:

    & the verdict isssss…didnt u break out??

    • jenny says:

I have a very very tiny blip on my chin but I’m going to use it for more than 1 night LOL. could be also blamed on stress, dry skin, not washing my face until 12 today or all the Godiva chocolate since Monday.

  16. jayjayne says:

    SAMPLES GALORE!

Man, I just read your tweet that you may of ahad a resultant zit from the Shu cream! THE PAIN AND AGONY! I hope it’s not due to the cream – and it’s not some sort of face-eating virus. That would be bad too.

    • jenny says:

Oh it’s not a big ugly zit or anything, just a tiny little blip I already extracted so we’ll see! It might just be from me waiting til noon to was my face today. My skin overreacts to ANY thing it’s crazcraz

  17. Huynh says:

I love free samples. I’m always picky on beauty related items because I’m afraid to waste money on some shit. I should good that eye cream. I have really dark circles. Thick concealer can’t even cover these areas :(

    • jenny says:

Yes, yes those are my circles! When I had the eye stuff though I didn’t even NEED concealer! Now I’m back to using benefit’s BOING and the darkness still shows though some days :(

  18. Ys says:

Wow $80 is pretty expensive. It’d better be amazing for that price, right? ;)

  19. cin says:

hahaha i used some of my free samples already! loving the shu uemura make up removers :D i used to keep all the samples as emergency skincare/makeup but there were too many so meh! XD
