L.L.Bean Zip-Top Tote Bags

I mentioned ordering an L.L.Bean tote a week or so ago, well they’re in! Yea, a large one and a medium one! Mike liked the large one for travel. My 2 usual travel bags are embarrassingly past their prime. They’re from college and one has a big ass Hello Kitty on it. Hahahaa! In college it was totally cute! But now??? … I always felt a little … hmmm… yeah… bringing it into nice hotels & on planes LOL. It was also a little small and I always had to bring 2 bags even on short trips. My other travel bag was looking really worn and dirty beyond simple spot cleaning. So now I have the medium tote for work and the large one for travel! I got the long handles and the color “bittersweet” which is a vibrant red. Also zip top instead of open top.
These are very thick canvas. Very sturdy and keep their shape! They’re made for boat life after all

God forbid the days I brought in extra stuff like a box of tea or notebook! Or in the spring when it’s cold in the mornings but by the afternoon I’d like to pack away my cardigan instead. OK, OK so obvious an upgrade from the ¥100 Daiso bag I’ve been using for 3 years. Also like the longer handles. My old bag had short handles which sucked during winter with my heavy wool coats. Hard to keep it on my shoulder while I walked.
I look forward to packing the large tote for my upcoming beach weekend in June

Oh I really like it! It looks like it would stand up well just by seeing the pictures! Can’t believe you could pack all that away in a bag! Amazing! I have to constantly smush my stuff. I think you’ve convinced me I might need that at some point soon. Lol

Oooh they look great! I have so many canvas totes… all of them kind of crappy because I just get suckered into buying ones that are cute but aren’t functional. I know what you mean about outgrowing cute bags… i’ve got a ton of cute canvas bags that i’m like ‘… I don’t think I can carry those anymore!’.
I’m so sorry about your life being hectic in your last post (didn’t get around to commenting because I was busy too yesterday) but I always think if life sucks now it means better days are coming :).

These are so great! I love the really classic look that L.L. Bean has in general, and these are no exception. :) They look mature but at the same time the color makes it look a little bit cheeky and quirky and cute because it’s so bright! Love these.

Okay, it’s official… you’re bad for my wallet. ;)
Recently I went to the Baltimore Inner Harbor and I realized I had NO bags suitable for a **packing light** two day trip! I had to use the pink cher bag and another bag, plus bring my purse separately. (yeah, the bf laughed at me XD)Currently looking at the large and x-large one, both would be perfect for -my- Ocean City beach trip in a couple weeks. hahaha~

Cute~ Looks great for work! The size looks really good — I pack a ton of stuff too, since I’m a grad student and teach and take classes on the same day. Some of my work+school days are 13 hours long! So I always (think I) need tons of stuff to get through the day.

I like how fashionable this is…beyond being sturdy. :) A new bag with more space can really change your entire routine for the better, I find. :) Plus I love the color!!

Hi there I was looking into buying this back and can’t decide between the medium and large back. I am a teacher and want to fit my computer, teacher edition books and my plan binder in this bag what size would you recommend cause some say the large is huge. Picture can be very misleading so I wanted to ask you since you had both what you thought.
