A Few Rose & Sweat Type Bath Salts

Thursday May 26, 2011

Just an FYI I had some time to add in some other subscribe options besides just my RSS. :deco15:

I added Bloglovin and Google Friend Connect.

Though I notice Friend Connect needs the newest of browsers. I’m using Firefox 3.5 and it no longer shows for me, haahaa! :dizzy: So we’ll see how it goes. :)

I’ve got a couple of bath salts with mini reviews! :deco10: I should have been better at posting these as I used them so it wouldn’t be so many at once. But nevertheless here are 4 different ones.

First is a “Betty Boop” themed sweat bath. Followed by a rose bath from the “Girl Troubles Series!” Very funny packaging for everything in that bath salt series. Then there is another rose bath from my favorite brand, Bison followed by a Piggy themed sweat bath salt. :ok:

Betty Boop

MTボディケア ホットスパ BETTY BOOP

Vivid fuchsia salt gives off a super potent “Spicy Hot Ginger” scent! Turns the bathwater a clear “glowing ruby” color with a shimmering glitter film. The skin firming ingredients of natural sea salts and algae extract are surprisingly effective! I was sweating like crazy. :deco13: Usually these character type bath salts are more gimmick than game but this one got me! :deco3: I’d recommend it for a moderate to high sweat with a powerful punch of a scent! Very happy! :) I want to buy more of this one! :ok: Has a rating of 5 stars at cosme.net.

Sasa currently selling it here! There’s a new Princess & Sexy type version of these as well that I would like to try!

Otome no Nayami Bath
捕まえよ、王子

This is from 乙女の悩みシリーズ or “Girl Troubles Series”. :deco2: This one is basically dubbed “to catch a prince” for girls impatiently waiting for their prince! Includes rosewater and wild rose extract. The scent is “Feminine Rose” and the color comes out a super milky rose color. Very floral rose scent like a candle! :deco1: Strong too when it first goes in! I really love the color. It’s perfect for a rose scented bath salt.

Rosefull ホットデト

From Bison

This is a type from Bison’s “Rosefull” mineral bath series. This one is a mild sweat bath focused on a Moroccan theme! Meant to evoke the image of a rose blooming in a desert oasis. :deco1: Contains rosemary extract for firming and wild rose oil for moisturizing.

Bright pink salt with white crystals. Super rose scented!!!! Like fancy rose soaps!! Perfume-like rose fragrance almost. Produces a clear rosy pink bathwater. Moderately effective sweat bath. Received 4 stars at cosme.net.

Sasa currently selling it here.

どっ汗風呂

This sweat bath one has collagen in it! :deco4: Amazing “Asian Floral” scent with reddish orange bathwater. Fairly damn effective “intense hot chili” sweat bath! Left my skin soft too. :deco4:

Sasa currently selling it here.

The Otome No Nayami package photo is so funny XD Is it geared for older people or smtg?

  2. alycie says:

Otome no Nayami packaging is so weird :L
I’ve used the piggy one before but I didn’t know it had collagen in it! Gonna go buy some more~

    • jenny says:

It is, like the obese woman for their skin tightening face mask or the elderly cheerleader for the invigorating bath salts! LOL They’re all over too so seem pretty popular and actually the quality of the salt was very very good!

Yeah there are two types of that piggy salt & this one has the collagen. The other has germanium. :)

  3. Charlene says:

Haha Betty Boop cleavage….ho boy ~! The rose ones sound sooooo nice.

  4. sarah marie says:

i love bloglovin’ its such a great way to view all my favorite blogs in one place…you do have so many followers so quickly!! awesome!

  5. Courtney says:

Great finds. You seem to grab such nice onces…should I ever order any you recommended I wouldn’t know where to start.
Oh by the way, what’s that by the pig bath salt in the first photo? Seems like a neat scrubby!

  6. I wish I had a bath tub so that I could test all of those out. I really want to try out these bath salts!

Bloglovin’ is great and GFC is failing for me, too. It doesn’t even show up for me anymore.

  7. L says:

I havent seen some of those bath salts before! Nice picks :)

I really like using bath salts but never have the time. I have lots just sitting around in my bathroom. Mainly sweat baths.

    • jenny says:

I’ve used most my sweat baths up sadly :( And BEFORE summer!? What was I thinking!

Yeah, I know these bath salt posts might not be too interesting but it’s hard to find any info on a lot of the salts I’ve tried, outside of the popular ones. So I always think maybe it’ll be helpful to someone, somewhere. Plus I can look back to see which I liked best if I ever order any online! Ha!

  8. Thanh Thao says:

Î love Jap bath salts!! I could relax in my bath tube for hours with the amazing smell XDDD

  9. cin says:

I love the Bison salts too! I regretted not stocking up while in Japan but there’s always a water restriction over here so I can’t take baths that often anyway~ (plus utility costs is x_x)

You’ve got sooo many followers nowww!! :D congratsssss :D

    • jenny says:

Thankfully we get a flat rate for water no matter the amount you use. I know, I sound horrible for not trying harder to conserve but I make up for it in my energy consumption and super huge weekly recycling hauls! :P

  10. Lily says:

Those salts take baths to a whole new level of awesomeness! Can sweat baths actually achieve a toning effect?

    • jenny says:

Toning effect. Hmmm… sorta? Not ACTUAL muscle toning but you’ll sweat out excess water weight leaving your skin much more firm and taunt. My legs and tummy are visbly different after doing sweat bath every other night for a few days. No jiggling thighs, etc. hahahahaa Plus I do leg and tummy massage while in the hot bath too which helps.

  11. Mika says:

    WANT. WANT. WANT.
    When I grow-up, I’ll make sure to have a huge bath tub so I can swim in bath salts as much as I can. HOHOHO. I’ve always wanted to try those sweat bath salts. oAo;

  12. chenyee123 says:

    Hi ;’)
They looks nice to use! I hardly use bath salt but would definitely want to give them a try after reading your mini reviews~

  13. kamille says:

I’d love to try some! I love betty boop hehe. Jenny, I have a question :O I’m looking at like cheap kitchenware like woks and pans, also bowls… at Diaso’s website. Have you seen these in person? I’m thinking of buying some :3 but not sure.

    • jenny says:

I have, I have. Hummmm, well keep in mind this is basically a Dollar Store so the items aren’t of highest quality. But I can say I bought a ceramic mug there a few years ago & it’s still holding up well. I think if you don’t plan on using it heavily (like every night) it would probably be OK especially if you hand wash them. The part that usually falls apart are the handles and sometimes these cheaper kitchen wares scratch more easily or tarnish a bit quicker. But kitchen stuff IS expensive so a cheaper alternative is nice.

  14. Bianca says:

Jenny….you know i love you, and i love your blog. and i apologize for disappearing on ya, but i can’t i just can’t comment and all the posts i missed…because SOMEONE decided to become this amazing blogger and blog everyday! EVERYDAY almost…

so here’s one RELLY LONGE COMMINT

JENNY JENNY JENNY!!! You’ve grown, you’ve changed, you’re beautiful, have i’ve been gone that long?

Okay, first, your hair looks amazing, those earring (star studs and marc jays) are ADORABLE, gunna go get those marc jacob one like NOW, need to want to have to!

Happy friggin belated birthday, it looks like you’re just coming into your own. The brown hair really looks great on you. infact in the post about the train, i thought you were some korean model! NO JOKE haha! That backpack purse thing is really cute, wish it was real leather though (esp cause of the price $$$ in my budget…) and the l.l bean totes are great as well, that red looks fabulous…

still nervs about sweat baths…i do use epson salt always but with my sensitive skin i worry the sweat ones may freak the shit out of my skin…

by the way i really like the 3D mesh jumper too, but why is Am appy so expensive…i get the made in the USA gimmick, but srsly…its not like its pure quality organic fabrics…jeez…..

anyway…i missed you girl, i’m so happy to flip through the pages of your blog and see these smiles on your face….:)

by the by im sure you saw on twitter, my blog moved. update your linkies :D

    • jenny says:

LOL it’s OK I blog nearly ever day now because I do it on my phone. Wow, I dunno where to begin in responding. I suppose “thank you” would sum it up quite nicely though xDDDDD

  15. Veronica says:

    booboopeedoop!

    • jenny says:

      Seriously, after gifting me the Girl Troubles salt I really, really, reaaaaaaaaaaally wish I had bought that whole crazy line!!! And to think it was sold EVERYWHERE I went too ;_;

  16. Rubi says:

Are these good for sensitive skin? They look so interesting, I would love to try it…but something about all these powders on a naked body makes me wonder lol
    I cant use overly-perfumed soaps, it’s irritating!

    • jenny says:

I wouldn’t use them if your skin is sensitive, especially any sweat bath type. Moisturizing or collagen ones would be a better choice but still tread lightly.

Have you ever seen the Aveeno oatmeal baths? They’re not salts but oatmeal instead. Very soothing and moisturizing. I love them. I should post about them as well.

  17. Huynh says:

Thanks for the reviews. I really want to try out one of these bath salts.

  18. elizabeth says:

YAYYYYYYYY! I love you for posting this! Thanks so much. I haven’t had a sweat bath in a couple days. but I went for a run the other day and I realised that sweat bathing is actua;;y so much tougher. Hahahaha. Ganbarimasu!

  19. Amanda says:

Sounds perfect and good for your skin! I’m addicted to lush-products but these sound really good too!
