Kastane Inspo

Wednesday January 25, 2012

A quick post with some recent Kastane inspiration from their various Staff Blogs. Lately much of Kastane is a bit more casual than my current tastes, but they are promoting spring-trend items which always have a casual bend. It’s just with winter and all the layers I still have to wear it’s hard for me to imagine non-sweater outfits. :P :?: These outfits below I loved and saved them for my own inspiration! :deco15:

::9: Some of the shop staff out together, I just loved how pretty their makeup looked in this picture. :deco2:

I love the sweater and skirt look!! I feel like this look should be relatively easy to find stateside, too. It’s great to find this inspiration I was going to try to find some more mature items in winter sales this week :)

  2. No doubt they inspire you, all of those outfits are so your style! Love this cold spring feeling, but its soooo hot in here that i just cant stare at those photos for more than 2 seconds LOL

i want sandy hair now :T…..did u change your layout…???

anyways…i really love that suit with the high waisted shorts…so cute…and sorta buster brown too..haha

I didn’t really “change” the layout. I did change the top bar color to a brown version and messed with the sidebar size a little but nothing drastic, surprised you noticed xD

Oh! Everything looks so comfy and chic!! I always like how friendly shop staff in Japan seem to be. They always seem to have fun at work. And how stylish!! So many horridly dressed retail workers we have in the US x__x

    • ★Momo☆ says:

I totally agree with you! Gosh some of the retail workers are superficial! They have that fake smile and can’t wait till you stop asking questions. Most of them seem bored out of their minds while working, but like you said the workers in Japan are friendly and have fun! (^3^)

      • jenny says:

Yes, yes! It’s like they HATE their jobs and YOU’RE the reason. I don’t like dealing with that at all. I know any job sucks but you’re already there, why make everyone else miserable.

    • jenny says:

Ugh seriously. I feel like such a wank but I hate when after visiting Japan coming back to the US to shop b/c the sales people are just sooooooooooo different. If a shop has nice salespeople I will honestly spend more and I HAVE walked out of a place MANY times due to crappy sales staff in the US.

What I love about these outfits is that you can dress them up or dress them down, and they look so adorable and comfy.

The models themselves bring personality to the clothing. Oh how I envy them ( ̄▽ ̄)

Aside from that, the colors have that nice tone down look for this spring which I really like.

    • jenny says:

Agreed! I like the more dressed up looks because I can pull them off at the office but it’s good to stay comfortable for weekends. And actually it’s funny to see the different stores’ staff personalities! Like the Harajuku one is slightly more street, etc etc. It’s nice because it makes each blog worth looking at despite using the same clothes!

  6. felicia says:

    Ahhh the sweater + dress looks are so cuuute ; A ;
I feel like going out and buying lots of thin sweaters and airy dresses/skirts now xD

  7. Amelia says:

Japanese clothing staff always have the perfect hair and make up :) :) and after seeing those pictures u shared, I can’t wait for spring to come :DD

I really like the look with the black bowler hat! But all these coordinates are really very pretty! Love Japanese fashion!

I got to try that high-waist shorts!! I love the mix of a thick sweater with a dress, she makes it look so effortless and cute

The shop staff are so pretty *_*

I love the knitted off-shoulder sweater in this~ So unique. Man, I wish America wasn’t so boooring with jeans and T-shirts. That’s all most people wear :L

    • jenny says:

This is such a true statement at times. A few months ago I noticed everyone in the mall all wearing jeans, riders boots, cotton top. It’s not necessarily bad but seeing a lack of diversity can get to you some times =Y

those outfits are so pretty! are kastane clothes expensive? and do you by chance know how they (the staff girls) get their eyebrows so light? is it brow mascara or do they dye their eyebrows? :)

    • jenny says:

Kastane clothes aren’t cheap but aren’t high end either. They’re mid-range depending if the item is an expensive import or not. Most items (tops, shirts, dresses) range $40~$70. And the staff girls all do their own style of makeup as in there doesn’t seem to be a standard they must follow. Most seem to do the usual eyebrow mascara or eyebrow pencil. Some do have bleached eyebrows while I’ve seen others leave their eyebrows natural and untouched. They’re a varying group of girls :)

I get such a cool, casual weekend vibe from these haha ♥ Lovely.

  15. MissFeelo says:

I really like their style, even if it’s casual it’s.. fashionably casual? haha hopefully that makes sense. They look really cute in the last photo. ^^

  16. Cupcake says:

Wow! I love almost all of these looks! It’s a little hot for sweaters here in hawai’i, but I’m sure I can find a way to “cool” these outfits down haha.

There are some lovely outfits here. I can really see some of them suiting you. Some are a little plain but have potential :D
