Cath Kidston Bags

Wednesday February 29, 2012

Sometimes I just become stricken with the “floral-bug.” I saw these Cath Kidston bags on ASOS just now. There’s waaaay more here on the official Cath Kidston website. Not all of them are floral but at least patterned. They’re fun and playful and spring perfect. Great for looking at on a cold rainy day like today. I wouldn’t mind a few of the shopper totes to be honest.
Also I like the models’ coordinates :P

I “plan” to purchase a Cath Kidston iPhone case someday…
The price. The fact I don’t /need/ it. I want to purchase it in-person. All have kept me from doing so. Not to mention all the rose creams & balms. :?: Eventually…

    Don’t do it!
(Hello, by the way! ^-^ This must be the first time I’ve ever commented, I only found your blog recently and I must say, I love it!)

I’ve got a few Cath Kidston items; it’s easy to pick them up in the UK, there’s a couple of stores which stock near I live. I fell for the pretty prints but really wish I hadn’t bothered. I have a messenger bags, a travel card holder and once had a wallet, before it broke. Nice as they look, anything they make using oilcloth cracks easily and my friend’s iPhone case, the print started to scratch off after a few weeks of wear.

Totally not worth the money; a real shame. :(
    xoxo.

    Updates again! Yay! Hehe~
Oh btw, my friend is using the one in the 2nd last picture. Looks great and she loves it to bits! :)

I collect CK stuff but yeah you really do have to think about what you buy cause it might not be worth it in the long run, I mostly collect the homewares like the mugs (I detest small cups of tea) and the enamel things. I think looking in store is best though then you can gauge the quality for yourself.

I love Cath Kidston but the prices on their bags and pretty much everything makes me sad! But I love their darker floral prints and dot prints… everything is just so adorable…

I don’t like Cath Kidson’s bags for a reason, floral prints may be cute but.. the pvc totally turns me off. :/ It’s like holding a recycling bag. :/ Kay I might be bias but.. I admit I really love their prints!

  10. Namie says:

Yay! Cath Kidston! I love their designs so much~ But yeah, prices are a bit much, especially when you include shipping to the US!! :(

I do have a small purse, mirror, and tissue case that came as a gift with one of their Japanese catalogs though, and I just love them to bits.

  11. jiaying says:

They are alot of counterfeits here and I can never figure out the difference~ I guess that’s why I never planned on getting one — it’s commonly seen.

But now that you posted it, it looks so great the way they carry it! @@ I love the pairing with those lovely shoes~

  12. Mary says:

Omg…is the 6th picture a laptop bag? MUST GO SCOPE OUT! Thanks for sharing

I absolutely adore the last travel bag! The brown fabric with all those decos and the strap gives them such a “vintage travel” vibe! Loves! I use Cath Kidston notebooks for school and they are fab!!!

  16. Etienne says:

I love all the floral prints from CK! But after reading about the quality… The Coordinates are so pretty! And i can totally see you using it XD

  17. Amy says:

So excited to dig out my Cath Kidston & other floral items for spring. As much as I love sweaters and winter clothing, I’m looking forward to not having to wear a thick jacket all the time.

  18. Thuy An says:

I love the combination of stripes and polka dots on that model! Forever only combining stripes and polka dots from now on.

Ah! I just ordered a Cath Kidston case for my iphone.

  19. L says:

Its hard to find cath kidston items in aust too. I’d love to go to a cath kidston store but there are none. I feel your pain :P

  20. winn says:

Love that polka dot bag *__*

  21. megan says:

I have a small CK crossbody bag that I’ve had for about a year–I love it! I haven’t had any problems with it at all (in contrast to one of the above posts). It’s funny, I actually got it for the best price from Rakuten, and they shipped it from the UK, haha. The price with shipping wasn’t too bad…maybe around $70USD?

  22. susy says:

hi jenny! i havnt commented in ages! hope you’ve been well!!! my old domain expired so i had to get a new one :( i specifically went back to read your valentines day blog post after i had missed it to check if you had indeed gotten balloons for valentines day ;) hahaha..

i looveee all the cath kidston bags! and its funny because i only like the floral ones… i see them around at city shops but theyre all so expensive and im not ever sure if theyre real or fake :( i will check out asos haha!

  23. Kate says:

Ah yes, Cath Kidston’s stuff is lovely, isn’t it?? So feminine and pretty. I’ve longed for a makeup bag for a while, a small one that can go in my purse.

  24. Cupcake says:

Oh my gosh, I’m such a sucker for bags of any type. I spend more money on bags than clothes, and these are so lovely!

  25. kamille says:

I’ve thought about getting one since I saw one of my classmates toting around cath kidston. I just wish they had more patterns to choose from. The only thing that concerns me is matching my coordinates with such bold floral print. :) I wish the price wasn’t as steep

  26. becca says:

you are right! those patterns would definitely cheer up a gloomy day… seem to have so many these days, lead us into spring!

  27. Nancy says:

totally off topic, don’t know if you like estee lauder but i use their soft clean toner for dry skin and it has a lovely rose scent. just thought you’d might like to try it

    • jenny says:

Unfortunately it doesn’t look to be oil-free? I tend to break out unless the product is oil-free. Makes experimenting with wonderful new products less fun, haha *cries

      • Nancy says:

Oil-free it is not….y’know i’m the same way. I break out with cream moisturizers and sun block. I usually stick to oil-free products too, but figured that toners usually are too drying for me so i got the gentle one to be safe. I’ve used half of it so far, and so far so good. The scent is heavenly. Sometimes I’ll just stand there, smelling the soaked cotton ball for a good five minutes. If your ever in a department store and at the estee lauder counter, give it a sniff and let me know what you think.

  28. Jenii says:

Oh my goodness, so Spring-y and playful!! Love the polka dots!!!!

  29. Bianca says:

ahhh these are SO ME, i really love that last one. Theyre so practical I love a good “practical bag”

i have seen the kidson iphone cover too…its beautiful but jeez its pricey and i dont even have an iphone :T

  30. Tori says:

Super-cute ♥ I can see you with all of them (& in the models’ coordinates too, haha!)

  31. Maris says:

Funny! I just bought a blue pink rose printed Cath Kidston cell phone case two weeks ago! I love it! VERY slimming, and sometimes my hand isn’t used to it not being bulky from my other cases. I would be careful though, it does look like it could wear down easily!

  32. Lolo says:

Wow some of these bags are pretty big~
I think my favorite one is the first picture you posted~ The patterns is really lovely~
I hope you get to buy that iphone case someday soon~~

  33. Jess says:

Omg the first bag is wonderful!!! I want

  34. AMi says:

I love the cath kidson floral patterns. I’ve only noticed this brand recently. I really want a cath kidson bag too!

  35. anastasia says:

    cath kidston makes me want to pee my pants in excitement. or like burn all my bags so that i have a reason to buy 100 of hers. i currently/always have the cath kidston theme for google chrome. her patterns are the epitome of patterns. ok i’m done. o amazing ;-;

  36. Sam says:

ehh I’ve never been a fan of floral print (clothing or bags) but I must say Cath Kidston’s models have fabulous outfits! I espcially love the first model with the thick white/blue striped sweater and navy blue polka dotted skirt! :D

  37. Kouji says:
