From The Weekend

Monday February 27, 2012

I’m blogging because Karen asked me to :ok:
Plus she wanted to see the Madewell green dress :P
I don’t have much to share from the weekend. :deco13:

I went out into the city Friday night. Had tickets to see Jim Gaffigan. Got home around 2am so I looked extremely tired all weekend. :P

Saturday I went to BVLGARI and purchased au Thé Vert Extrême. Their au Thé Vert is what I personally refer to as my “signature scent.” Surprised it’s not rose maybe? :P This has rose notes though, I’m a creature of habit. I finished the bottle I purchased last spring. I have a small bottle from Christmas so I wanted to finally try out the “extreme” version. It’s wonderful!

More intense, yet as subtle and delicate as the original, Extrême is the more concentrated version of Eau Parfumée au Thé Vert.

I also bought a bottle of the lotion in the regular au Thé Vert. The extreme version is going to be excellent in summer with its more intense green tea notes. :deco3:
But you know, I’m already wearing it ^_^

I also hit up Sephora to restock some things. I need a new night cream.
Mine got discontinued. I’ve tried 3 already but nothing is /perfect/

Went through all my favorite skincare items that didn’t cause breakouts and the one common thread was they’re oil-free. So sticking to oil-free.

I got a sample of Boscia’s Oil-Free Nightly Hydration and have been using it for a few days.

I also grabbed this while checking out. Those damn impulse buys! But it looks gooooooooood! Oil-free!

Koh Gen Do – Cleansing Spa Water

Haven’t tried it yet since I’m trying out that night cream. One new product at a time so I can keep track of results you know.

Anyway… that’s it. :deco13:

I love the cardi from the first pic~~ Where did you get it from? :D
And the Madewell dress is so pretty! The green colour is just perfect! Not too bright or dark~~

  3. Etienne says:

I saw the green dress on another post! So cute~ As for the second photo! The dress and outer made the perfect match! All the oil-free products are wonderful right? I have a super oily skin and my pores… Mygosh!

and OHMYGOD WANT Cleansing Spa Water

  5. Sewon says:

Ah, I need a new night cream, too. How’s boscia? P.S. I love the green Madewell dress! It’s soo adorable.

I’m so torn with the Boscia! On the one hand it works beautifully! The next day I woke up and the husband asked if I was already wearing makeup. It helped calm my red blotchy areas that I have from walking in the winter wind every day.

On the other hand it stings a bit when I apply it, and it also makes my eyes water some while applying (fumes I guess?) It doesn’t feel moisturizing at all. Really applying it isn’t so hot but the results are so I haven’t decided yet. Thankfully my sample is fairly large so I can test it a few nights in a row.

  6. Mia says:

I love your outfits from the weekend!
I’m also trying to find a night cream, so I’d be interested in knowing how Boscia works out for you.

  7. L says:

    • jenny says:

Dear lordy son you are like… comment… 8!! Busy reading reviews and what not huh xDDD

I need something stronger for removing Dolly Wink Volume mascara, if this works well I’ll be soooo thankful. Sounds amazing too, oil-free, so I’m hoping acne-free hahaha

  9. Jia Ni says:

    Love your coordinates!! ^_^
Ahhhh your hair looks so silky and fluffy! And I really like your hair colour too! What colour is i, if I may ask? :)

  10. Courtney says:

    Such lovely dresses :D
come to think you take a lot of “neck photos”…lol
The bottle of the perfume is so pretty I’m very curious what it smells like :)
And yes! I love seasonal scents. I’ve been wanting to post on those myself!

  11. _lyne says:

the white blazer looks chic! night creams are a bother, i’m trying to find one that is perfect of my skin too, but no luck so far!

    • jenny says:

It’s a challenge finding one that works for you, I know~ I hate that mine got discontinued. And thank you, the coat is actually a really light mint green but it’s super hard to tell in photos.

  12. Jesslyn says:

Yay! Updates finally! Been waiting since last week.lol~
Btw, I love how you matched the cardigan and the green dress together! Its absolutely perfectttttt! :)

    • jenny says:

      Ah thank you :P
Haha, you can thank Karen, I wasn’t going to update at all :X but she made me take the time last night :)

      • Jesslyn says:

Haha. I was already thinking of asking you to update before she did! Way too addicted to your blog XD
Btw, I thought you update your blog almost everyday? Hehe :)

        • jenny says:

Haha it’s funny because I used to only /maybe/ blog twice a week a few years ago. But last year I just started blogging more because it’s easy on my iPhone. I don’t “try” to blog daily, it just sorta happens but it also means that, like right now, when I don’t feel like blogging I don’t. So there might be wider gaps in updates at times~ :)

  13. Amelia says:

Your owl earrings are amazing! And as always your coordis are inspiring.

  14. ClosetVoyage says:

  15. Thanh Thao says:

Your outfits are so lovely!! And too bad we can’t have a taste of the parfume through the internet, lol XD

    • jenny says:

I know! Too bad because then I wouldn’t have had to make the Bvlgari people open up a bottle for me to sample hahaha! Thankfully I liked it :)

  16. Elisa says:

    i’m loving your style

  17. Miya says:

Love your weekend looks! That is a really unique signature scent. So many people just use the same perfumes as everyone else (myself included) even though there is so much to pick from.

    • jenny says:

Thanks! It was a relaxed weekend of dresses :3

Yeah I used to only use Ralph Lauren’s Romance many years ago. I DID like it, and it didn’t give me headaches or anything which was difficult to find at the time but it was my “friend’s scent” and she got soooo pissed when I bought a bottle too. So I guess that’s a situation where having your own would be better. But I think whatever makes you happy is best. ;3

  18. Mary says:

Ahh I’m so jelly of your style

  19. Tori says:

I love your perfect little transitional outfits, haha ♥ It’s like, one foot still in winter, the other in spring!
I’m excited to read your review on the Koh Gen Do Cleansing Spa Water… sounds exactly like something up my alley ;)

    • jenny says:

I just used it! Not baaaaaaaaad! OK OK I think this will actually become my makeup remover if I don’t break out lol *totally serious*

Get better dear, I hope you don’t have some serious virus D:

  20. Issy says:

You’re hair is getting so long! It really suits you at that length :)

These pastel color outfits really fits you! You are even more beautiful!

  22. tiff says:

Is it creepy to say that I always look forward to the pictures that you post of yourself? You can put on any kind of article of clothing and make it look cute and stylish, and not only that, you have a sort of surreal face (in a good way), like a pretty elf or fairy or something!

PS – I soooo want that camera!

    • jenny says:

*maniacal laughter* It’s so not true but I still appreciate you saying that bwahahahaha I’m just gonna try & imagine pretty elves like from Lord of the Rings & not some shrunken cookie baker in a tree xDDDD

      – I don’t know how I functioned before this camera tbh, I know I used my iPhone religiously but just… yeah, I love my camera :3

  23. Jenii says:

So lovely the clothes! (stuck in Yoda-speak) Spring-y but comfortable color palette and textures look so soooooft!! So nice!

The perfume sounds delicious and hope the Spa Water works out for you!

  24. Lauren says:

Love your blog! always makes me smile when i read it, really like your style too!! am quite new to blogging so please check mine out if you have a chance http://misseelle.blogspot.com/ xo

  25. Becca says:

will have to go sniif all the scents you mentioned!

  26. Cupcake says:

Your first coord is so lovely!! I want to wear the same thing haha, but I think it’s your hair that makes it look so suitable on you!

  27. ShuShu ♥ says:
