grapefruit

I had a grapefruit earlier. I would enjoy eating it more if it were a better “to-go” fruit but it’s always a huge mess so I only eat them when I’m home.

I drink Maxwell House’s “coffee singles at home and at the office. Instant coffee feels a bit blasphemous in my mind but then again I’ve never proclaimed to be a coffee person. I’m better off with tea. Most coffee makes my stomach feel like it’s being ripped apart. That said, I really like these singles. They brew like a tea bag and remind me of a much less messy version of the Japanese coffee Drip On. I converted from Starbucks VIA to the Maxwell House.

Since I had the cutting board out already I cut up a lemon to use in cleaning. Cutting up lemon and adding it to a bowl with a little water helps deodorize a microwave. I don’t use my microwave much but it’s one of those over-the-stove vent ones so it absorbs food smells that way. Zapping these lemons for a few minutes & then leaving it to steam a bit makes a huge difference in the cleaning process.

omg I love grapefruit so much, I really hate being limited to eating it at home though… or at least anywhere where I know there’ll be abundant paper towels. just be careful eating grapefruit when on medication!

Yum, I love grapefruits! I like to add a sprinkle of kosher salt, it really amps up the tartness and gives it a savory edge. You have the cutest housewares :)
