Lululun Face Mask
Tuesday August 06, 2013

Lululun [ルルルン] is a popular beauty mask in Japan. Its aim is to be a more convenient and routine mask for casual or daily use. Made of 100% cotton as well as fragrance-free, color-free, and mineral-oil free. They’re available in a 42 sheet count as well as 7 sheet mini packs. I got this limited edition spring version from Yesstyle to try.

The set comes with a pack of their pink series (hyaluronic acid and honey) plus a fruit essence mini-pack that contains apple, lemon, and grape extracts.
The masks are in layers folded in half within the bag. They’re somewhat more delicate that other masks I’ve tried; but peeling one off is pretty easy. The size of the mask is slightly smaller than others as well. The masks are wet but not dripping with essence.

All these features make them extremely easy to use any time of the day. Just a quick face wash and then one of these masks can be worn for the 10~15 minutes while doing laundry or prepping before bedtime or anything really. The smaller mask size keeps the essence from getting into your hairline and the thinner cotton allows the mask to stay on more securely during wear. You can walk all over and this thing won’t start peeling off!
The results aren’t too shabby either. The mask is a little bit moisturizing and a little bit clarifying leaving my skin smooth with an overall even tone. I also haven’t experienced any blemishes from using the mask yet not surprising given how “free” it is of most comedogenic ingredients. I’m liking these as an addition to my post-work beauty regime!

I might have to try this! I usually can’t use face masks because of how sensitive my skin on my face is. :(

A SMALLER MASK? Finally! I’m always complaining that they’re too big on my face >< will definitely try this one out next time I come across it.

This is intriguing. I might try it when I find enough things to fill a package from Yesstyle.

Lovely! I’m always on the hunt for simple, effective masks that are free from any harsh chemicals, plus the packaging on this looks cute!

Cute!
And smart of them not to put too much fluids in the mask. I hate when I use one and it drips all over! Such a waste! -
I want these :o I love how it’s so close to being super natural and all that♥ But I checked the prices.. 16usd in Japan, suddenly 40usd outside Japan. That’s too much of an profit someone’s making out of them :s

OMG just what I need in a mask!! I love using them but find it distasteful when the essence gets into my hair, and find it hard to remember to put one on before bed — when I’ve tried using them and doing things, it slips quite a lot. Thanks for the review.
