New Summer Theme

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008 | 27 Comments

New theme A little summer-like! Nothing too drastically changed, but I was tired of the old banner (so heavy on the winter dress!) Got the Air Conditioner fixed today. It never worked properly, despite the company claiming to do an “inspection” 4 weeks ago! :stabstab: It was completely wired wrong! But it works now and it was covered under warranty so we didn’t have to pay anything. No more sweat-filled nights. That sounded kinda wrong & raunchy I also got a postcard from s o m e o n e in the mail today THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

I’ve been thinking about getting a new digital camera for a few months now. The one I have is from 2004 (if not ‘03.) The problem is I haven’t found any I really like. I kind of want to get a Sony b/c I have one now which means my memory sticks would work with it. But it’s not like Sony makes flawless cameras & I could just fork over the $$ for bigger SD cards. That said, the only camera I’ve liked somewhat is Sony’s Cybershot DSC-N1 with touch screen. The menu was really intuitive & I liked its features a lot. Downside, price [about double what I want to pay] & the touchscreen kinda gets in the way thanks to my fat-ass thumb. The 3rd problem?? I turned my current camera on today and everything it shot was PURPLE and the LCD screen was all scrambled looking! I turned it off & back on and everything seems fine now. Hahahah. I was just like, “You got to be kidding! You’re gonna force me to replace you!?” I was kinda hoping to hold off till Black Friday. :ladeeda:
anyway, to the point

Any of you LOVE your camera and it costs 300$ or less?

the house i’m staying at while i’m going to uni has no aircon, so summer is hellish.

LOVE THE NEW LAYOUT♥

mines an olympus FE-170. Its only a couple years old, and was about $500 when it came out, i dunno the price now, but I LUUURVE the close up functions :3 not to mention a big screen, video camera, and its pretty small and light. They don’t exactly sell olympus all over the place though, so you may have to look a bit ^^;

good luck in finding a camera you love!!

cute layout

I don’t love my camera, it’s alright. My dad has a Canon IXUS - I think it is the same as a US Canon Powershot, but he has one of the $$$ models

That Sony looks like *LOVE*. Although my brother has a Sony Cybershot (few years old) & my sister has a newer one.. BUT my dad, who is all INTO electronics, thinks the Sony photo quality is not so good. I always ask his opinion BEFORE buying any type of electronic gadget.

I have the new Nikon Coolpix and it’s so-so. 0_o; I swear, there are always good & bad things with everything. Why can’t one camera just be GOOD all around, hahahahaha~ I’m having probs with it, but it’s not like I’m gonna return it or anything.

I do love my Canon PowerShot C3 but it’s REALLY big since it has 12x zoom (dad bought it for himself and ended up giving it to me). Which is why I recently bought the Nikon — wanted a smaller handy camera I can throw into my purse an sneak into concerts, mwuahaha~

Welp, this is plenty long… good luck~!!

dude
u should get an olympus!!!!!!!
Olympus for the win seriously.
kick ass battery life, that’s a huge problem for me. Olympus can run for at least like half a year with one charge, if u use it like once a week. if you use it everyday like me
every 3 or 4 weeks a charge
it’s not that expensive either.
but er just get one with a better zoom
my zoom isn’t that great ..sigh

Love your layout so cute! Go blue~

I find that Sony cameras don’t really live up to everyone’s expectations. My friend recently got an Olympus (I’m not sure what type) but it’s picture quality is lovely! Canon too~ If you’re not looking for an aesthetically pleasing camera forget about Sony altogether~ D:

I have a NikonD40 dSLR which is out of the $300 range but is WELL WORTH IT. I didn’t think I’d want a dSLR, but once I got one, I couldn’t believe the difference. It takes great pictures and all the different settings you can use with it that you can’t on a regular camera are fun to play with.

I still use my point and shoot digital from 2002 or something for more on the fly things since it’s small and I can carry it anywhere. It’s a Pentax Optio 5i I believe. It’s old, but still working and taking decent pictures.

I like the Canon Powershots….they are pretty good and not too expensive~

I have a very simple Canon sureshot - 7.1 megapixel for under $150! it was very cheap. But it produces some very nice shots when you want to do some subtle, but tasteful nudes let’s say.

Sony makes a lot of nice products, but why not buy from someone (like Canon) that makes their living on building cameras?

LOVE the new theme!!

Is there anything like a ‘electrics street’ near you, where you can haggle prices down? Perhaps you could get a second hand or old model camera, it’s the megapixels that matter, ne.
I don’t really know about cameras though. Out of everything photography is the thing I suck at, taking and being in.

I’ve been shopping around for digital cameras aswell. My 3 year old Kodak EasyShare just plain died on me. I’m thinking of the Canon PowerShot SX100. It’s more advanced than the simple point and shoot, but it’s user friendly. I plan on buying it once my paycheck comes in. Plus, you can get it online for $240 tops. And I have a friend who gets ConsumerReports magazine and it was one of their best buys. I’m sold on it.

i call the purple thing the purple MONSTER. it started a year after my brother dropped the canon (and had it fixed) and the purple came back more and more often, to the point where it was purple all the time :( evil!

hmm… mine was like 150$ & it’s OKAY. i want a new one myself, though. my sister has this olympus one that LOVE. it takes great close- ups without looking fuzzy. i think it maybe cost around 200.
for digital i think the best cameras would be olympus and nikon.

looove the layout
