ギャル ラブ
Wednesday, 1月/23日 [2008年] // 33 Comments
I purchased an issue of Ageha 2 weeks ago and it finally arrived yesterday! OH YESH. ギャル ラブ! Ageha is mostly a himegyaru magazine. I ADORE himegyaru, so before you feel compelled to comment “ews, uggers” please just go and comment on my previous entry [//end lecture-time]] I haven’t really been this hyper since manba style
.
I’m going to see if I can subscribe to Ageha at my bookstore. Shouldn’t be a problem. I already regretted not subscribing to Egg & talked myself out of it long ago (thank GOD you’re getting it & sharing it now Hachi! ) but I want some eye candyyyyy PURE HAPPY ROMANTIC-TIME EYE CANDY!
OK, SLOW-LOADING B/C LOTS OF QUICK SCANS. I’M SCANNING THE MAGAZINE IN ASAP.

DIET, YO!
Gotta work it to look this cute~~

What’s Himegyaru?
paraphrased from here>>
Princess GAL: characterized by pink make-up and long eyelashes as well as either tan or very light skin. Huge hair in a bouffant/beehive and curls. Lots of fur and rich materials as well as lace and velvet. High heels. Animal prints, rhinestones, roses, orchids, and other flowers. Pearl and cameo inlays and beadwork on nails is a big trend. Hair is teased up on top and curled tightly in spirals on the bottom. Hair color is always caramel, black, or dark brown. Casual Himegyaru can be confused with Oneegyaru. Brands include jesusdiamante & Liz Lisa or Tralala for casual looks.
I have fashion schizophrenia! Hardyhaaaaaaaar fail. Himegyaru is so focused on hair and make-up and that’s what I love more than any actual fashion. Always have. It’s also why I love Zipper and Ray… I love to collect pretty thingsssss! I’m just rambling now! I’ll go.

Wow their eyes are SO BIG! I’m kind of jealous. Is that natural??
January 23, 2008 @ 7:03 pm
Oo, cute magazine! I love the dark lined eyes & lashes.
January 23, 2008 @ 7:43 pm
i looove the styles! so glam, crazy and just plain fab. very different from what i’m used to but so fun. thanks for sharing ^-^~
January 23, 2008 @ 8:39 pm
Wow so girly~
*
Reminds me of those cute looking girls in Anime with the big eyes and big hair and little pink frilly dresses. *
January 23, 2008 @ 8:48 pm
Ah I love himegyaru too!! I find that it’s one of the more contained gyaru looks. Ganguro is so shocking to the eye. I much prefer the cute hime look, the hair is so, so big! I really want to see a himegyaru in real life XD
January 23, 2008 @ 10:15 pm
omg their hair is so huge
it’d block traffic lol!
and the eyelashes are pretty insane lol
but it’s a nice style for those that enjoy it
i think regular ppl can’t pull it off lol
January 23, 2008 @ 10:46 pm
get POPTEENNNN!!! //end public service announcement
i think one of the great things about hime gal is that you can do the hair and makeup (to a moderate amount) without getting weird looks (like for mamba)
January 23, 2008 @ 10:57 pm
Hiiiiiiii !!!!!
Wow i loved this blog and it all
Himegyaru — Kawaii
but….. Could u post ’bout the male fashion magazine, (^0^)Plz?
I’ll be very glad (^
January 24, 2008 @ 12:44 am
Ooh…there’s another Ivy here too.
Anyways, I’m loving the princess style!!! The hair especially - omg!! If I was 5 years younger I’d die my hair in that color again and style it just like they do!!
I really really love
(http://sushi-cat.net/pics/1_22_08_16.jpg) this hair style! If only I could understand it to copy it. It suits my current hair cut. Sigh.
January 24, 2008 @ 11:39 am
Wow, the hair O_o the eyes too. I love some hairstyle. Cute magasine
January 24, 2008 @ 11:56 am
wow AGEHA!
it’s the first time I see what’s inside it! I’ve seen ‘em several times at Kino bookstore, but I never really take a look at ‘em or buy ‘em
ROSE and POPTEEN are similar to this
I really love the fact that Japanese magazines have their own segmentation for different types of girls there
very very interesting
p.s: I’m now crazy for S-Cawaii, i keep buying them!
January 24, 2008 @ 1:35 pm
woww…they look so girly!!!~ i love the eyeshadow techniques…(the pink one and the green one~) very pretty!!!~
January 24, 2008 @ 1:55 pm
i am so jealous of their hair. but then again it would take me forever to get my hair that big without a wig… i dont think its even possible to get it taht big! ah~ so cute.. i like this style too! to look at haha.. i could never actually look this way >.
January 24, 2008 @ 2:31 pm
ハイハイ ギャルラブ FTW!
I find there’s something so desirable in having a HUUUUUGE head of gyaru curls!
I’m gonna scan all my past issues of egg too, they go back to about june 2007. Not a lot but I haven’t missed one
January 24, 2008 @ 4:49 pm
I never heard of this before now but they’re cute! The hair is too much, though. I love their makeup and their little outfits are TOO CUTE.
Hey, at least you’re not into Ganguro! Haha ewww
January 24, 2008 @ 6:09 pm
Holy crap! They all look like they’re straight from an anime! They look to good to be real. Lol. I swear, the Japanese are like the only Asians (with a few individual exceptions) that can pull off having blonde/red/light color hair and still look damn good.
January 24, 2008 @ 7:34 pm
I LOVE LOVE HIMEGYARU
!
princess style~~
January 24, 2008 @ 7:35 pm
I have a nasty hair fetish
;; so I’m liking the way that their hair is done.
Probably though it has too much sprays, gels, or whatever in it.
January 24, 2008 @ 7:44 pm
It’s like lolita, high fashion, 80’s style hair, and everything shoujo mixed together! I think that there’s this woman who’s some poster girl fro this. Or she owns the company…or something…it’s in my book. Her name is Sifow, I really like her music. It goes with thes tyle.
January 24, 2008 @ 9:39 pm
MOVED new address in ur url bar
January 24, 2008 @ 10:06 pm
lol, I don’t know what’s worse - that they look like crackheads with those giant pupils/contacts lenses, or that I kind of want a pair myself
January 25, 2008 @ 2:16 am
The hair is HUGE!!!!
But everything else is quite cute actualy XD
January 25, 2008 @ 10:12 am
Omo….huge hair is right…that has been in the US since…back in the day o_o Their hair looks so…damaged ;A;
*daily curling/ironing can lead to hair breakage
ANYWAYS, tis cute….but I’m not sure I’ve found a style I’ve liked yet!! *floudering in the jfashionmag world*
January 25, 2008 @ 10:27 am
I KNOW JENII!!!!!! RIGHT!?! It’s so Dolly Parton (who I secretly love, but not music-wise!!) And yea, super damaged & tons of extension clipped on
.
January 25, 2008 @ 1:07 pm
oooooo i love how one of the girls did the green eyeshadow~~
imma gonna try later when i get home x33
i’m not so fond of the enormous mountain hair - i think they look much cuter with basic curls and pinning their hair up
some of their clothes are just so adorable tho!! x333
January 25, 2008 @ 4:32 pm
I must say that I ADORE Himegyaru clothing, especially jesusdiamante (though it is really expensive omg…
. They must be masters of curling hair! I think that basic curls would look really cute with those dresses and would be more acceptable in public places
. There are so many aspects to Japanese fashion, taking bits and pieces from each style and applying them to your own is a really fun idea. Thanks for the scans!
January 25, 2008 @ 4:37 pm
awww! its too cute! I wish I could get my bangs to
look solid like that. ;_;
January 26, 2008 @ 10:04 am
Wow, these girls must take HOURS to get ready in the morning! Great style!
January 27, 2008 @ 6:43 am
January 27, 2008 @ 2:59 pm
I’m not really into those ‘princess girls’ but I loved their up-dos and eye make-up. I’ve been wanting to do a poofy up-do.
January 27, 2008 @ 5:53 pm
Woahhh that style is pretty cute
woahhh CHOU KAWAIIIII ! Thanks for sharing it with us :[ I haven’t been up to date when it comes to the fashion scene in Japan *sigh*
but this style is just too cute XD
January 28, 2008 @ 8:39 pm
