Good to know (32)

NOTE TO SELF:
Do NOT attempt to enter ANY stores this weekend for you lack total willpower and control… apparently!!!
I was picking-up my Non-no (subscription so it’s already paid for) and I was thinking about how GREAT I was doing with my spending budget but that I should stop spending it all at the beginning of each month so I don’t have to deprive myself of all purchases for 3 weeks at a time. So I walk into the bookstore and there was November’s Soup issue!!! IT WAS ALL DOWNHILL FROM THERE.
I bought Soup, Zipper, Pinky, CUTiE, and Ray. I had to refrain from buying CanCam, MORE, and JJ
& of course got my Non-no.

Oh well, I still have over 1/2 my frivolous spending budget for October left… sigh
OH, and check out this site!!! 13ook and also 12oom!

Topiary Love Story!
The cutest little topiaries! I really love the whale one *gimme gimme!* :aha:

SOUP!!!!! (17)

I was greatly rewarded this weekend for dealing with negative people all Saturday. Mike even said, “Wow… you’re really letting people get away with being dicks to you today.” I actually even have bruises from a supermarket to prove their hate… Oh well
I FINALLY GOT AN ISSUE OF SOUP!!!!! There was one single issue magically :*: on sale today. I’m SO, SO happy!
I plan on subscribing to it, but later in the year AFTER we move (home expenses come first.) Winn has been great providing SOUP scans, but I’m such a huge “must own it physically” person.
I also got some tea I’ve been hunting for! Numi’s Flowering Tea Bouquet. Today I had the “STARLIGHT ROSE - WHITE TEA.” Not too bad

Today I traded my car… (33)

Yamaha Vino!

Backstory:
So my current car I had since college (4 years total.) It was a 95 Ford Taurus (oh yes!
) But since moving up here I haven’t needed it. In the past 2 years I’ve driven it a MAXIMUM of 5 times… :screech: So I NEVER drove it but yet had to spend all this money on tags, maintenance, insurance (600$ a year!) and so on. It was a bitch to keep parked too :hii:. I hated it :punch: . It was expensive, never driven, breaking down (hello 12 years old!) and nothing but a PAIN. I didn’t need it but I didn’t like the idea of only having 1 car between Mike & I.
So a few weeks ago Mike suggested trading it in or selling it and buying a moped :girlquestion:
It was hard at first. IT WAS MY CAAAAR. :whaaaaaat: But the truth was there
. It wouldn’t last much longer never being driven, and the moped was a fantastic alternative. :sprout: If I need the car for a doctor’s visit Mike could take the moped into work. I could also get to my train station on it and park it for free. Maryland’s/& DC’s moped laws are SO relaxed it’s a bit of a shock.
It’s going to take time getting used to driving it. It reminds me of my Waverunner days only if I fall instead of forgiving water I’ll smack hellish pavement. AAAAAHAHAHH!
I’m so happy not having to take care of my car. Moped means no tags, no car insurance, no 1,000$ repairs, ANNNND when we move into the new house it can fit in the garage WITH our other car!! 1 snuggled up happy family with no need for street parking bullshit
