SANA Esteny Body Hot Massage Gel

Well if you follow my twitter then you know today was a pain in the ass. So I figured I’d do an appropriately themed review for such a day!
Firming gel! More specifically rump firming using SANA’s Esteny Body Hot Massage Gel.
SANA
Esteny Body Hot Massage Gel

This is a gel I ordered off of Yesstyle. I’ve been using it for a month.
First thing I noticed. The amazing scent!!! A mixture of apple and ginger with more sweet apple notes!!!
It’s a semi-clear gel that massages on easily. Dries okay. A little sticky at first then dries clean. Probably best for use at night though I used it twice a day I used less in the mornings so it would dry quickly. I used it mostly on my upper thighs, tummy, and a little on my upper arms.
The heating effect begins about a minute after and then BAM!!! It warms up SOOO much!!
Especially on my thighs. It felt the hottest there lol. I think if you like sweat baths you’ll like this gel! If you hate sweat baths you’ll probably hate this too.
Most effective after a long hot bath when the pores are open.

After using over half the tube, I’m left thinking it’s a nice product. I mostly love it for the scent and heat up effect. Firming effect-wise though, it’s on par with Nivea’s Q10 Skin Firming Moisturizer. It does soften and smooth the skin, but firming is minimal.
I wish it had been more effective because I really think I might buy it again just for the other more positive aspects. … yea I kinda want more of it
I want to quickly cover past firming items I’ve used too.
My all time favorite was Nivea’s My Silhouette gel. It firmed and smoothed amazingly. Plus the scent was light and lovely. It was pulled because people thought they’d lose actual weight using it. No. But it did firm up the skin crazy well. Anyway it’s discontinued.
I used Nivea’s Good-Bye Cellulite Serum as well. It works about as well as their My Silhouette but the scent and greasy film it left turned me off.
I’ve also tried Bliss Fat Girl Slim. Hated it.
It actually made my thighs look worse. Confirmed by the husband to be honest.
When I stopped using it and switched to Nivea’s Q10 lotion it got better. Again, husband confirmed. I think it was plumping up my skin for a smooth effect but it only made it more dimpled looking
I completed a bottle of Nivea’s Q10 Skin Firming Moisturizer before starting SANA brand. I like the Q10 lotion. It worked decent enough plus left my skin soft and smooth. Not great but could tell a difference when using it.
Lastly I’ve used some of Ishizawa Lab’s germanium massage salts before as well. Not a huge fan of the massage salts. Didn’t see much firming results. But it did make my skin super soft and smooth

Thought I’d post my current new & favorite makeup items. Lately I’m using these items the most. It’s a simple and fast look, so I like it for the work-week. It also incorporates all my newest purchases for spring. There’s no liquid liner, no falsies,… no lipstick even (though I did apply a semi-clear pink gloss.) So it’s just a fresh, easy look. I’ve sort of been doing Rinka-inspired makeup lately. Rinka tends to stick to a bright fresh face look.

A few items I never really blogged about.
Benefit’s Eye Bright
I’ll start with Benefit’s Eye Bright since I had a few people ask about it. I just picked it up Saturday. So far I like it.
I usually used the white glitter shadow in my Kate dual carat palette for the inner corners of my eyes; but I tossed it. I had it for a while and was hitting pan.
On a whim I bought Eye Bright. I like how it’s more subtle but also better at brightening up my bottom waterline. But because it’s a cream it does tend to crease after a few hours if I line under my bottom lashes. However it works great just on the inner corners and lasts longer than using eyeshadow. I’ve only had it for a few days so I haven’t tried it in other ways just yet. I’m happy with it but wouldn’t call it a holy grail item for me.
Probably wouldn’t re-buy.
Shu Uemura’s Double End Eye Crayon
Another fat pencil purchase I made was Shu Uemura’s Double End Eye Crayon from their celestial garden spring mode collection! The shades are misty brown & earthy brown.
LOVE. #forevernoregrets
I like the more taupe “misty brown” for lining my bottom outer eye corner. It’s subtle but still adds some depth. The “earthy brown” is a pretty great shade too. It’s lighter than my Dolly Wink brown pencil liner but darker than my SANA Hazel crayon liner! I was worried about having repeating brown liners but thankfully instead I now have 4 varying shades of brown pencil liners
Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer
Got this at Christmas Karme! LOVE IT!
I’ve found my primer!! holy grail holy grail.
My biggest issue with all the primers I tried in the past were that they’d cause me acne. Even ones meant for sensitive skin like Smashbox’s Photo Finish Light.
But this one by Hourglass I’ve been using for 2 months now and I can say with certainty that it doesn’t break me out. It’s also a fantastic primer. Definitely can tell a difference, not just with applying my makeup, but how it looks 8+ hours later.
I will re-buy it forever.
Nars Orgasm Blush
I needed a more subtle and natural shade in my blush collection of bright pinks and bold oranges. So I finally bought the de Facto blush;
Nars in the shade Orgasm.
