irked

Well, I’m sure Mike will read this because he came in right when I was gonna blog & I told him to leave. whatever, no big deal.
So Mike was in DC today going to an interview. Last weekend we were supposed to go to a store in the area and buy these really cute shoes I wanted that are on sale. Well, He calls me while I’m at work.
HIM: “Yea, what color were you wanting those shoes in?”
ME: “Huh? The jelly shoes? Are you at the store? What are you doing there?!”
HIM: “Yea……… I was going to surprise you but I wanted to make sure I got you the color you wanted.”
So I tell him he’s so sweet n blah blah. Then I get home. Mike goes, “Oh yea,… I didn’t get those shoes. sorry, we’ll go this weekend.” I ask why he didn’t & he said he was too bummed out by the interview and didn’t want to anymore.
OK, I understand that and all, but my super girly side is miffed. I just feel kinda ripped off and that he thinks he’s still Mr. Fantastic because he was gonna get them for me. Does that make sense? I don’t want to go into the city this weekend. I was so high on lovey-dove for him because he was so sweet for planning to do this. But when he didn’t it cancels that out, ya know? I KNOW I’m being bitchy x’100 but whatever, I don’t care if anyone thinks I am because I’m irked by this whole thing I feel like telling him that good intentions aren’t the same as actions.

Also, I scanned in some mini-mags on bentos. I’ll try to post those up soon.

Aww, that really sucks. You know to tell ya the truth I would so be pissed off, too. It’s kinda mean , ya know.Trust me I’d make him (Manuel if he did it to me) go get ‘em b/c I’d be so bitchy, hehe~ Glad you are over it though you just needed to let it out. Aww, mini mags, how cute!!

Don’t sweat it! I would feel the same. He got you so excited about the new shoes and you don’t even get them in the end = NO FAIR. Oh well~ you’ll get them soon enough I’m sure ^^; hehe.

Oh my… T__T I can understand you, my boyfriend used to do that and although I apreciated his good intentions it made me feel dissapointed at the end when the intention doesn’t become a REAL action.

Awww – do remember, it’s a GUY! Well at least he didn’t come home with the same “I didn’t get your shoes, I was too bummed” AND said “but… I did get shoes for me, I couldn’t resist them!” :D I’m sure he will do his utmost to make it up again, that’s truly what guys do best *sigh* ^_^ Haha, glad you’re over it!

ahahahahaha omg this is like watching “everybody loves Raymond” haha, yea… girls always care about these things more than guys, to them, it’s just a pair of “shoes”, but for us girls, it’s that…feeling..we want!! but anyways i hope you get those shoes soon and let us see it!~~ ^__^

I adored Steven Colbert’s speech! It was fantastic! I think he’s a comic genius.
I relate to your annoyance about the Mike almost being sweet but not quite. I mean, it’s not the fact about buying a gift but it’s like, Why tell me and get me all googly moogly onle to come back and say nevermind? Hehe, guys are a little retarded. Sometimes I spoil suprises with my bf too so I guess we all do it at some point.
