disrespect in all its forms. *warning personal beliefs spoken*

You know it’s going bad when you & your group starting fighting in the car. We have to do something “helpful” for the community for our presentation this Friday. So we are helping out an unfortunant family and bought them some things. On the way there, the one guy who is assuming the “leader” position, says “we need more sources for the project.” I told him we could use the name of the church as a source since they gave us the name of the family we are helping. he then says:
“I have a better idea! Let’s use the bible instead! We can quote verses in our presentation!”
I then say politly that I don’t really want to do that. He asks why and I tell him I don’t think it’s appropiate and that it may offend someone in class. He gets pissed and starts fighting with me and then says “Well, what if we throw in some Chinese proverbs too? Will that help?!”
What an asshole, damn. Then he’s like, “We can use certain verses from the Bible to help. We have to explain why we think what we did was good, not just go up there and say its good and have nothing to back it up. We have to show why its good. We have to have motivation.”
I tell him (and all of them since we are all in the damn car) that the Bible isn’t what is motivating me to do this charitable act. And that we each have our own personal motivations. He then accueses me of having only the motivation of getting a good grade on the assignment to do this for the family.
>_< >_< >_< >_< >_< ugh, WTF?! They were all just following his lead and asking why I didn't want to read Bible verses during the presentation. I told them if I wanted to study the Bible and do presentations on it I would have gone to a Christian college.

I got so pissed because I told them they could read verses if they wanted too, but I didn’t want it to be a “group motivation” and that I wasn’t reading any because I’m uncomfortable doing so seeing how I do not believe in the same things they do. I just don’t understand, I was being so understanding about them and they just attacked me for not being a Christian and pretty much saying that anyone without faith can’t be motivated to do good for others. It got worse, he followed me to my car and started apologizing and then tried to “save” me and twisted all my words around. All I was saying is I didn’t want to do that in the presentation, I didn’t express my values or beliefs because I’m not trying to convence them of anything, I just didn’t like the idea of reading the bible during our presentation. It just upset me and now they are treating me like I have a third eye and won’t listen to ANYTHING I say now.

ugh, anyway. We will see what happens. I have a mid-term in the class tomorrow =_=;;,study study I was so tired from work today. We had to take Mike’s car into the dealers because his engine light came on. But the light itself was just broken so no problems after allIt’s been long day. OH, I DIDN’T have 10$ in the bank! Books-a-million charged me twice for the manga!!! I thought I was supposed to have like 40$ left over!! Sure enough they fixed it today and it’s back up where I thought it should be! I’ll just respond to some comments now, I like wasting time .

Lydia, I love the Hot Gimmick blog idea, hahaha, I know alot of ppl are sharing in my addiction! I would of course, be Ryo .

meemee, I don’t really prefer online courses, sometimes the professiors make them too hard cuz they think it’s too easy.

Kim, you’re too funny . OOO manga huh? Well, obvioulsy Hot Gimmick is good, be beware, naughty adult scenarious happen and some foul language. I own Kare Kano, FLCL, Chobits, and Love Hina manga. Kare Kano is awesome, the anime is awesome too. The manga & anime are almost identical cept the manga goes on while the anime stops 2/3 rds way into the story. KK, I’ll bug you online whenever I can at work ~.

Winniey, my post probably WAS trying to steal it, no wonder she was in a sour mood, we caught her

Grr I hate people who take their religion way too seriously like that .I would feel the same if I were in your position. A wise man once said, “I don’t need the reward of heaven nor the threat of hell to live my life morally” and I think Super Christians ™ need to understand that people who are non-Christian do have some good in them.

I don’t like group assignments. I always worked best as an individual. Procrastination goes easier that way Thanks for the tips! And hmm .. your whole uploading picture thing. I wish I could do that. Or knew how to. I’m trying to get more use of my digicam but I’m horrible with coding, so I have pictures but I don’t upload because it’s such a hassle uploading.

I guess for some people christianity is the be all and end all…but lets not get into that shall we?

It was good of you to stand up for your opinions, unlike those other sheep in your group.

i hate group assignment, and i dislike people who take religion THAT seriously. cmon… –; religion is a very private matter in life, and once others get pissed off because of false opinion about religion, that means war. and war caused by religion is (IMHO) stupid. well, jen.. *pats jen* good luck on your study then ^^

alas.. no.. not a good idea.. would end up in another bigger fight ehehheh :p
anyway.. last time I studied about something called “potential of GROUPTHINK” in my subject, Organizational Behavior.. I think all of the members in yer group.. had this thing
“groupthink”.. it’s the tendency to follow the person who act like a major person in one group.. without considering other good opinions and facts! darn.. stupid :(
Jennn I got an idea!!!!! maybe you should start a… HOT GIMMICK fanlisting???!!!! great idea ne? ^^ since you’re the best layour maker i’ve known, you have yer own domain, and you know much about scriptings too.. it’d be very easy for you!!! go on and make one!!! eheh :p

i see i see. ^^

poor dear. i’m christian myself, but i don’t like forcing my religion onto others, because it’s supposed to be a conscious free choice and if it’s not that, well then it’s useless. ::nodnod::

Simple-minded bastard. He could have at least let you offer an opinion. I could see myself being a bit irked by a group preaching to me about how the bible inspired charity work for one family. o_O; I mean, a small mention would be fine, but to be reciting the bible throughout the speech with one awkward chinese proverb squished in at the end just ain’t going to cut it. x_x It’s cool how you thought about the other students in the class that might take offense to refrences to the bible - you were being considerate, unlike this stubburn blockhead. If he thinks that his brilliant idea will get his group an ‘A’, maybe you should just have him kicked out. -_- That’s ridiculous how your group was following his idiotic preachings. Kinda reminds me of Bush… *Mumbles.* Hope you do well on your mid-term! !
